For his forthcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, he has chalked out an interesting and unique plan for the trailer launch. On May 29, all the cricket and cinema enthusiasts will have a surprise treat, as the trailer of Laal Singh Chaddha will be launched on the day of IPL finale!

A source close to the development revealed, “When it’s Aamir Khan, it has to be grand and never heard before. The trailer of Laal Singh Chaddha will be launched on May 29, the day of the IPL finale. Cashing in on the IPL fervor, the makers of the Aamir Khan starrer has consciously decided to launch the trailer of their film, much to the surprise of the fans of cinema and cricket.”

“It is the first time in the history of marketing and advertising world that the audience is going to witness a promotional asset launch during such a big live cricket ceremony. The trailer will stream live on television on Star Sports during the second strategic timeout of the finale match to be held on 29th May creating a revolution and new benchmark in the ad and marketing world. This is the first time ever that a film is going to have a grand trailer launch on the world television platform and sports world,” the source added.

Interestingly, Aamir Khan recently had a fun and hilarious banter with the former Indian coach Ravi Shastri which opened a new space for memes and conversations on the internet. Now, since it is being speculated that the superstar will unveil the first glimpse of his film Laal Singh Chaddha at the IPL finale. The source called it as ‘one of the biggest and remarkable moves made by any producer in the history of cinema’.

Also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles, Laal Singh Chaddha will release on August 11.

Ayushmann Khurrana is known for making light-hearted comic capers with a social message. However, in 2019, he surprised everyone by starring in Article 15. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the hard-hitting film commented on the caste system and got unanimous acclaim as well as box office success. Despite releasing a week after Kabir Singh, it managed to collect Rs. 65.45 crore and hence, it was a real success story. Hence, there’s a curiosity around their next film, Anek. This time, he has taken up the subject of the conflict in the North-East part of India and the racism faced by its residents.

The trailer of the film was released earlier this month and got praise from all quarters. Bollywood Hungama has found out that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film with a U/A certificate, after making certain cuts.

As per the cut list, the CBFC’s examining committee asked for 5 cuts or additions. The first two is regarding the insertion of the opening disclaimers, that the film is a work of fiction, and secondly, that the film does not intend to promote crime committed by children.

Thirdly, cuss words like ‘B**** c**d’, ‘R****khana’, ‘L***a’, ‘F**k’, D******d’, ‘Son of a b***h’ were removed or replaced with non-objectionable terms. The CBFC even removed the word ‘Dhandewali’ from one dialogue. Fourthly, the CBFC, in some places, also asked to remove or replace the words like ‘China’ and ‘Chinese’ used to depict North-Eastern girls. Lastly, a dialogue around a real-life personality was asked to be either removed or replaced.

Interestingly, the scene where a bullet rips apart a book on Mahatma Gandhi was left untouched. The shot can also be seen in the trailer of the film.

Anek was granted the certificate way back on March 25. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 147.50 minutes. In other words, Anek is 2 hours and 27 minutes long. The film is all set to be released on May 27.

Pooja Hegde was one among the 11 members who were a part of the Indian delegation led by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The actress made her red carpet debut at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in a stellar outfit. While she made a stunning appearance, the actress has now revealed that she lost all her clothes and makeup on her first trip to the Cannes Film Festival.

Talking to Film Companion at the Festival, Pooja said, “We lost all our hair products, makeup, we lost outfits. Thankfully I brought a couple of real jewellery pieces from India which I had hand-carried. We landed, we had this upon us. We couldn’t cry about it because we didn’t have time to do that. I think probably my manager panicked more than me. But I was like, ‘okay fine. Let’s get into the car. Let’s do fittings here. I will figure out the outfit’.”

“My team ran, they got new hair products, new makeup, all of that, trying to make time, and it was crazy. We have had no lunch, no breakfast. I had my first meal of the day in the night (of red carpet appearance). So it was pretty hectic. My hairstylist had food poisoning, so he was like gonna pass out and he was doing my hair. I have a stand-up team, I am here because of them,” she added.

Pooja revealed that only one of her bags was checked in while the others were left behind in India and her only travel bag was also misplaced during the travel. Despite the hurdle, everything went well for the actress.

Meanwhile, Pooja looked like a Disney Princess in a pink feather gown when she arrived at the film festival for the premiere of Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick. Her gown had a structured bodice with a sweetheart neckline that was decorated with sequins in various shades of pink that give it a gleaming appearance. Maison Geyanna Youness, a Lebanese couture house, created her fantasy gown.

Ananya Panday will be doing her first-ever stage performance since her acting debut in 2019. She made her debut with the film Student of The Year 2 backed by Dharma Productions. The film directed by Punit Malhotra also stars Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. While Ananya was seen in films like Khaali Peeli, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Gehraiyaan after her debut, the actress is now gearing up for her first live stage performance. She will be doing her first professional live stage performance at the upcoming IIFA 2022.

The International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA) is set to thrill fans with its 22nd edition in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on June 2, 3, and 4. Salman Khan will be hosting the grand event this year along with Riteish Deshmukh. There are several interesting performances lined up for the event that celebrates cinema. Ananya Panday is one of the most popular young stars in the Hindi film industry currently.

Commenting on Ananya’s preparation for the grand event, a source said, “As it is Ananya’s first live performance ever since her acting debut, she is putting her best efforts to make it a memorable one. She will be performing to the hit tracks from her debut film Student of The Year 2. The entire event will be a grand star-studded spectacle and a night to remember.”

The event will take place at the Middle East’s largest state-of-the-art indoor entertainment venue, Etihad Arena, part of Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences.
