After creating history at the box office by being the first Hindi film to cross the ₹250-crore mark at the domestic box office post the pandemic, The Kashmir Files has now broken records for its digital debut as well. Premiered on ZEE5 on May 13, the film received the highest opening weekend numbers as well as the highest first-week numbers.

With the highest number of views and streaming minutes for the opening weekend at 6MN+ and 220MN+ respectively and with the highest number of views and streaming minutes for the first week at 9MN+ and 300MN+ respectively, The Kashmir Files has broken all records on ZEE5. This is another achievement for the Indian homegrown OTT platform after registering a world record for being the first OTT platform to release a Bollywood commercial film with Indian Sign Language interpretation.

Available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Indian Sign Language, The Kashmir Files is the movie to watch out for if you haven’t already.

Actor-producer Sohail Khan was recently in the news as she was spotted with Seema Khan at a family court in Mumbai. The two who got married in 1998 filed for divorce last week. Now, Seema has changed her name on her verified Instagram handle. She has dropped Khan from her name and her moniker now reads “Seema Kiran Sajdeh”. While Seema and Sohail filed for divorce recently, the two have been living separately for a couple of years and the news of their separation first surfaced when they were shown to be living separately on the Netflix show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.

Seema is a designer and one of the four wives of the hit show- The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, based on the lives of four star wives – Seema Khan, Maheep Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor’s wife), Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunky Pandey) and Neelam Kothari (married to Samir Soni). The show was produced by filmmaker Karan Johar.

In the first episode of the show, Seema spoke about her relationship with Sohail and how they live in separate houses. She said that she will always love Sohail and that he is the most amazing father. “I love him, I always will. We have a great relationship. It’s just that sometimes when you grow older, your relationships meander and go into different directions. I make no apologies about it because we are happy and my kids are happy,” she said.

“Sohail and I are not a conventional marriage but we are a family. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day,” Seema added.
Sohail and Seema met through mutual friends and became good friends. They fell in love and decided to get married within a year.

While Seema’s family was initially reluctant of the alliance, they approved of it later on. Seema will next be seen on the second season of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives alongside Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, and Neelam Kothari.

The D-Day is here! R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was India’s official selection for its world premiere at the 75th edition of coveted Cannes Film Festival. Held during the prime time of 9 PM at the prestigious Palais des Festivals, R Madhavan and the ISRO genius and space scientist, Nambi Narayanan, walked the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival amidst much hysteria.

And it’s no surprise that the film instantaneously had the audience on the edge of their seats. Such a grand world premiere it was that Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Top Gun: Maverick became the most talked-about films at the festival! That’s not all! The biographical drama, based on the life and times of Nambi Narayanan, was received with a deafening standing ovation from the full-house at Palais des Festivals for ten whole minutes! Everyone from the minister Anurag Thakur to the musical legend A. R. Rahman were left standing in awe of the film, trying to hold on to every bit of the film.

Responding to the great reception the film received at Cannes Film Festival, actor-turned-director R Madhavan, said, “I’m overwhelmed and exhilarated. It’s a surreal moment for all of us at Team Rocketry! Humbled and grateful By God’s grace.Thank you for all your love and support.” Now to prepare for the release on July 1st.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect marks R Madhavan’s directorial debut. Staged on a mammoth scale, the film has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia, and Serbia. With a powerful ensemble star cast comprising of acclaimed international actors like Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, and Ron Donachie and with special appearances by superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya. The film will be released in six languages worldwide, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, on 1st July 2022.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is produced by TriColour films, Varghese Moolan Pictures, and 27th Investments. The film is being distributed by UFO Moviez and Red Giant Movies in India and will be distributed internationally by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co.

Rajshri Productions announces the debut of Paloma in a lead role for their upcoming film opposite Rajveer Deol. The film will be iconic filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s son – Avnish S. Barjatya’s directorial debut. The film, currently untitled, will be Rajshri’s 59th film production and will go on floors in July 2022, in Mumbai. Paloma, daughter of the evergreen Poonam Dhillon and eminent producer Ashok Thakeria, joins the cast of the film – a coming-of-age love story, which explores modern relationships set against the backdrop of a lavish destination wedding.

“Paloma is a powerful performer and has tremendous screen presence,” says Avnish. “She is the perfect fit for my character. Her immense work ethic and enthusiasm make it so exciting to be working with her every day. Paloma and Rajveer share great chemistry together on screen and play off each other really well. They have both seamlessly blended into their roles.” The casting of Rajveer and Paloma is a beautiful throwback to the pair of Sunny Deol and Poonam Dhillon in many classic films.

Marvel is developing new Daredevil series but this time at Disney+. After all Marvel series migrated from Netflix to Disney+, there were conversations around what to do next. If the reports are to go by, Matt Corman and Chris Ord have been tapped in to write and executive produce the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Matt Corman and Chris Ord have been tapped to write and exec produce a series that will be notable for being the first of the Netflix Marvel shows to get a new but continued series.”

While it’s unclear whether the original cast would return, it seems like a good news for the avid fans.

Daredevil lasted three seasons on Netflix with Charlie Cox headlining the series as blind avenging attorney Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. The fans got a glimpse of the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home, seemingly hinting his potential return to Marvel universe.
