Ranveer Singh has not only established himself as the best actor of the country from his generation but he has also solidified his position as a pan Indian hero, given his remarkable decade in the Indian film industry. So, it is no surprise that he is the only Indian actor roped in to perform at this year’s IPL closing ceremony on May 29th in Ahmedabad. In addition, AR Rahman is also set to perform at the ceremony.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad after the final between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The entire closing ceremony will reportedly be around 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has Cirkus, Anniyan remake and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in the pipeline.

Grammy-winning musician Justin Timberlake has sold his entire song catalogue, which is reportedly estimated to be worth more than the done-deal price, to London-based firm Hipgnosis Song Management in a deal of $100 million.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer-actor made a deal with Hipgnosis Song Management that includes copyrights to approximately 200 songs that Timberlake wrote or co-wrote, including hits like ‘SexyBack’ and ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling.’ According to an estimate from The Wall Street Journal. Timberlake’s catalog is worth more than $100 million.

Founded by former musician Mercuriadis, Hypgnosis, which is backed by the private-equity firm Blackstone, previously acquired deals from singer-songwriters such as Neil Young, Lindsay Buckingham, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. “I am excited to be partnering with [Hipgnosis’s CEO and founder] Merck [Mercuriadis] and Hipgnosis — he values artists and their creative work and has always been a strong supporter of songwriters and storytelling,” Timberlake said in a statement. “I look forward to entering this next chapter.”

Merck Mercuriadis said, “Justin Timberlake is not only one of the most influential artists of the last 20 years but he’s also one of the greatest songwriters of all time. His hit songs including Cry Me a River, Rock Your Body, SexyBack, My Love, What Goes Around… Comes Around, Suit & Tie, Mirrors and Can’t Stop the Feeling are amongst the most iconic of the period.” He added, “Putting this deal together has been a complete labor of love. I’m delighted to welcome them all to the Hipgnosis Family. This is the beginning of what we believe will be an incredible relationship important to us all.”

Hipgnosis said Friday that it has bought 100 percent “of all of Justin Timberlake’s copyright, ownership and financial interests of the writer and publisher’s share of public performance income, and the catalog of musical compositions written by Justin Timberlake.” Also included in the sale are “the worldwide administration rights to the compositions, subject to the remaining term of Universal Music’s administration rights, which expire in 2025.”

The acquisition was made on behalf of Hipgnosis Songs Capital, a partnership between Hipgnosis Song Management and funds managed by private equity firm Blackstone.

Timberlake’s music collection spans over 20 years. The singer found fame in 1995 as a member of boy band phenomenon NSYNC. After NSync parted ways, Timberlake launched his solo career in his debut solo album “Justified,” in 2002. The record producer went on to become one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with sales of over 88 million records. Timberlake also appeared in films such as The Social Network, Friends with Benefits and The Trouble With The Curve.

Just last month, superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai home, Mannat, was trending on social media after fans noticed a new shiny nameplate outside his bungalow. Fans posed with the new nameplate and shared it on social media. It was also reported that the nameplate cost about Rs. 35 lakh. However, the nameplate is no longer there at the gate.

Every day fans are seen visiting and clicking pictures standing outside the iconic house. However, this time once again it created a buzz when fans noticed that the nameplate was missing.  Reportedly, SRK’s team has temporarily removed the nameplate as the diamond from it fell down. Reports state that the nameplate has been removed for repair and is currently in the garden inside the house. It will be put back once it is fixed.

The Khans had placed a new and much more fancy-looking nameplate on the left side of their magnificent gate in April. The early nameplate was a simple blackboard with the words ‘Mannat, Land’s End’. The second one is much bigger and sparkly.

The opening episode of the newly dropped Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi now carries a warning label that may be triggering for some viewers after the recent mass school shooting at Texas. The move follows Netflix’s decision to place a similar warning note to Stranger Things 4, that runs before the prior season recap, over a scene that featured potentially insensitive content regarding violence against minors.

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, before viewers are brought to the present time in the show starring Ewan McGregor, there is a scene from 10 years prior when Order 66, aka the near eradication of the Jedi, is carried out.

In particular, the scene opens with a group of Force-sensitive younglings being trained in the Jedi Temple just before Clone Troopers burst into the building, shooting at the Jedi and children. While no child is hit by the blaster fire, the moment is still intense and triggering for some viewers, given how raw emotions are nationwide over the unspeakable Texas tragedy.

“Although this fictional series is a continuation of the story from Star Wars movies filmed many years ago, some scenes may be upsetting to viewers in light of the recent tragic events,” reads a note in the “details” area of the show. “Warning: Contains violence involving children.” However, the message does not appear on all Disney+ accounts under the “details” area for the show. And it does not show onscreen prior to the episode beginning but comes after a lengthy recap of the events.

The message was added just hours after Obi-Wan Kenobi debuted. “In light of recent tragic events, we recognize there are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting and a content warning has been added to the show page. We are also working to add an advisory in front of the series as quickly as possible,” a Disney spokesperson said.

Lata Mangeshkar has left her legacy behind after she passed away. She has also passed on a dream that her family is trying to fulfill.

About four months ago, Lata Mangeshkar passed away. However, she wanted to build an old age home for the aged retired or ailing  actors  of  the Indian film industry.

Shortly before her passing, Lataji had spoken to about her dream project with Bollywood Hungama. “It is such a  joy,  blessing and  comfort  to have one’s family with you in old age. But what about those  who  are old alone in their twilight years? My heart reaches out to  the veterans  of  our film industry who have died alone. Maine suna hai Lalita Pawarji aur Achla Sachdevji, jo kitne mahaan kalaakar the, unke saath  koi bhi nahin tha (I’ve heard that  two great actresses Lalita Pawar  and Achala Sachdev died alone.) Kitne sharm  aur dukh ki baat hai (how shameful and sad).”

Lataji wanted  to build a vridh ashram where the  old and abandoned from the industry could spend  their last years in peace and comfort.

We now hear  that Lataji’s family is going ahead with the project and that the Maharashtra government has already allotted land for the project, probably in Thane.
