Apple Original Films along with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell announced the anticipated holiday musical comedy, Spirited, will premiere in US theatres on November 11. It will globally release on Apple TV+ on November 18, 2022. Along with the release date, a comical black-and-white teaser poster was unveiled.

Ryan Reynolds shared the poster on his social media along with the first look at Octavia Spencer. “It started as the hokey-pokey. Then things escalated. Spirited on @appletv November 18,” Ryan wrote along with the photos. The film shooting had begun in Boston last year.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, while Reynolds essays the role of “an Ebeneezer Scrooge-like character”, Ferrell will be seen as “the Ghost of Christmas Present.”

The musical is Hollywood’s latest retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic novel “A Christmas Carol”.

Spirited has been directed by Sean Anders. He also has co-writing credits on the script along with John Morris. Patrick Page, Sunita Mani, Loren Woods, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley and Jen Tullock round out the cast.

The film is produced by Sean Anders, John Morris, Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, George Dewey, Jessica Elbaum and David Koplan.

The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Gujarat High Court order which quashed a criminal complaint case filed against Shah Rukh Khan. Readers may be aware that the actor was travelling by Rajdhani Express for the promotions of Raees and it allegedly caused a stampede when they halted at Kota to meet the fans. A case against Shah Rukh Khan was registered regarding the matter under various sections.

Now, as per Live Law India, on September 26, 2022, a bench comprising Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice C. T. Ravikumar passed the order “refusing to interfere with the decision taken by the High Court quashing the complaint filed by Jitendra Madhubai Solanki.”

For the unversed, Indian Penal Code Sections 336, 337, and 338 of IPC and Sections 145, 150, 152, 154, and 155 (1) (a) of the Railways Act, 1989 were charged against Shah Rukh Khan. One person had died and two cops had collapsed following the panic on January 23, 2017, while it was alleged that several were injured during Raees’ railway promotions. The complaint was filed by local Congressman Jitendra Solanki, following which the police filed an announcement against the actor, and the court took cognizance of it. Subsequently, SRK approached the Gujarat High Court to quash the FIR and the HC stayed the trial in July 2017.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next star in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki and Atlee’s next Jawan. All three films will release in 2023.

HYBE announced on Monday that ‘The City’ project would be launched in parallel with the Korea concert of BTS, called Yet To Come in Busan, for the bid for World Expo 2030 in October. ‘The City’ project is an “urban concert playpark” that takes over an entire city with various entertainment activations and events which provides an expansive and immersive experience for fans to enjoy beyond the concert. HYBE previously rolled out the project with BTS’ Permission to Dance on Stage – Las Vegas in April 2022, transforming the entire city with events that took place across the Las Vegas Strip area before and after the concerts.

‘The City’ in Busan plans to hold similar events—from shopping and entertainment, F&B, hotel accommodations and more—throughout the city to set forth the festive atmosphere, while raising the anticipation around the bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan Metropolitan City. Highlights from ‘The City’ will include, A photo exhibition ‘2022 BTS Exhibition: Proof’ that opens on October 5 showcasing the 9-year history of BTS’ career; an amusement park event at the Lotte World Adventure Busan which will feature fireworks and laser shows with BTS songs set to run from October 14 to 31; accommodations hotels in the metropolitan area offering exclusive BTS-themed packages; pop-up stores with exclusive official concert merch from the upcoming show in Busan.

On October 15, the concert day, the in-person live broadcast event LIVE PLAY will be held at the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal Outdoor Parking Lot and a special stage in the Haeundae area to deliver the heat of the concert across Busan.

Back in June 2022, BTS were appointed as ambassadors for Busan’s World Expo 2030 bid and would hold the Global Busan Concert to support the nation’s bid to host the Expo in Busan Metropolitan City. HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and CEO Park Jiwon, and Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Park Heong Joon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Busan Metropolitan City Hall to promote Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030. As part of the agreement, BTS as ambassadors will hold the Global Busan Concert in an effort to bring the World Expo 2030 to Busan.

Vikram Vedha, that is a remake of the Tamil movie by the same name, stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. With the trailer garnering a much positive response, there is much anticipation about the film. The movie, which is expected to release later this week, was screened specially for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) earlier today and it seems that the film has been passed with U/A certificate.

The makers held a special screening of Vikram Vedha on September 26. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed about Vikram Vedha receiving a U/A certificate (which means kids accompanied by adult) whereas the runtime of the film has also been revealed.        The film is expected to have duration of 159 mins and 15 seconds, that is, 2 hours, 39 mins and 51 seconds.

Vikram Vedha talks about the story of an upright cop who has a clear distinction of black-and-white who is on loggerheads with a gangster who helps him understand grey. The perception of the cop slowly changes as he understands grey and how no person can be defined as black or white.

The original featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as Vikram and Vedha respectively. Coming to the Hindi version, it will feature Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan in the respective roles whereas Radhika Apte plays the role of Khan’s wife and a lawyer. The film also stars Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, among others and is directed by Pushkar Gayatri, who also directed the Tamil version. The film, produced by Reliance and T-Series and it is slated to release on September 30.
