Netflix’s original Korean series Narco Saints topped the streaming platform’s Top 10 Global chart for non-English TV series in its second week. According to Korea JoongAng Daily, the series – which was released on September 9 – was watched for 62.65 million hours. The show ranked No. 5 on the chart from September 5 to 11.

Smash-hit Korean legal drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which topped the global chart for seven consecutive weeks until September 11, dropped to No. 4, having been streamed for 21.97 million hours.

Netflix’s Narco-Saints is about an ordinary entrepreneur who joins a secret government mission to capture a Korean drug lord operating in South America. The drama stars Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo, Jo Woo Jin, and Yoo Yeon Seok in pivotal roles.

Per the report, the show is adapted from true events related to a Korean drug lord named Cho Bong Haeng who operated a massive trafficking organization in Suriname between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Meanwhile, Young Lady and Gentleman was viewed for 18.5 million hours over the cited period to finish fifth, ongoing mystery drama Little Women scored a position of No. 9 on its second week of release with 13 million hours and while Alchemy of Souls ranked at No. 10 on the chart.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are known for their unconventional choice of projects, and it seems like their wedding style is no exception. According to the latest development, the duo will reflect their inner environmentalist in their dreamy wedding.

The Fukrey stars have jointly decided to put in efforts with the help of their teams who are planning their wedding in an attempt to make their wedding more environmentally conscious and eco-friendly. The couple has roped in a wedding planning company who are using various means including decor using natural elements recycled or repurposed wood and eco-friendly decor items.

Richa and Ali are also focusing on reducing food wastage at their wedding functions by curating food experiences that are sustainable and have experts on board known for creating such experiences. The teams across have been briefed to minimise plastic waste and use recyclable plastic during the functions as much as possible.

On the other hand, a source close to the couple gave us a sneak peek into the invite and said, “The actor duo got a friend to design their wedding save the date who custom sketched their faces into kitschy pop art design. The invite has a retro 90s feel made in a shape of a matchbox that reads – “Couple Matches” with a quirky sketch of Richa in a traditional saree with a ghunghat whereas Ali’s sketch is seen in a suit-boot avatar as the two are seen riding a bicycle.”

Chadha and Fazal had postponed their wedding due to the pandemic. However, they have decided to tie the knot in the first week of October 2022. The couple will be having a big Indian wedding. Wedding festivities will be held in Delhi and Mumbai. Reports have it that they will be tying the knot in a close-knit ceremony in Mumbai, followed by receptions that will be hosted in the city as well as in Delhi.

South Korean singer-actress Nana will reportedly be making a special appearance in the new drama Love in Contract which aired on September 21. The drama stars Park Min Young and Kim Jae Young in lead roles.

According to Korean media portal Soompi, Nana will be making a cameo appearance as an A-list actress who winds up embroiled in dating rumours with Kang Hae Jin after starring alongside him in a drama. In the newly released still cut from the drama, Nana gives an angry stare to Kim Jae Young.

The producers of the show remarked, “Even in terms of physical appearance, Nana was the perfect fit for the role of the cat-like actress who gets caught up in a dating scandal with Kim Jae Young in the drama. Even though her appearance was brief, she made a powerful impact. Please look forward to Nana’s cameo.”

The new drama is about a woman (Park Min Young) who provides the service of being a fake wife to the needy, single people to bring to social gatherings, such as school reunions and dinners for married couples. The show premiered on September 21.

Global popstar Shakira is gearing up for her first album release since 2017. She recently addressed her split with the soccer player Gerard Piqué for the first time after three months. The former couple share two sons Milan, 9 and Sasha, 7.

“I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all,” Shakira told Elle magazine in the publication’s October cover story. “Um, and yeah, it’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation. And so it’s been tough not only for me, but also for my kids. Incredibly difficult.”

“I have paparazzi camping outside, in front of my house, 24/7,” she added. “And there’s not a place where I can hide from them with my kids, except for my own house. You know, we can’t take a walk in the park like a regular family or go have an ice cream or do any activity without paparazzi following us. So it’s hard.”

Shakira, who is also facing tax fraud charges in Spain, claimed she has been trying “to protect” her children from the paparazzi “because that’s my number one mission in life. But then they hear things in school from their friends or they come across some disagreeable, unpleasant news online, and it just affects them, you know?”

“Sometimes I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I’m going to wake up at some point,” she further told the outlet. “It’s real. And what’s also real is the disappointment to see something as sacred and as special as I thought was the relationship I had with my kids’ father and see that turned into something vulgarized and cheapened by the media.”

“And all of this while my dad has been in the ICU and I’ve been fighting on different fronts,” she continued. “This is probably the darkest hour of my life,” she said adding that her sons are the priority right now. “I need to become an example for my kids.”

The former couple announced their split in a joint statement issued in early June 2022. The duo started dating in 2010 after they met on the set of Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” music video.
