Rapper Cardi B – born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – has pleaded guilty to two charges stemming from her involvement in a pair of physical altercations at a New York strip club in 2018.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy-winning rapper agreed to a conditional discharge just as her case was about to go to trial, saying in a statement: “Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions.” The rapper pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges stemming from the August 2018 fights.

Ten other counts, including two felonies, were dismissed. Two co-defendants also pleaded guilty. According to prosecutors, Cardi B and her entourage were targeting employees of Angels Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, over an apparent personal dispute. In one fight, chairs, bottles and hookah pipes were thrown as the group argued with a bartender. She and another employee had minor injuries.

“No one is above the law,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement. “In pleading guilty today, Ms. Belcalis Almanzar and two co-defendants have accepted responsibility for their actions. This Office is satisfied with the resolution, which includes appropriate community service.” Per the report, in 2019, Cardi B rejected a plea deal that would have given her a conditional discharge.

Prosecutors then presented the case to a grand jury and obtained an indictment that included the two felony charges. “I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,” said Cardi B, adding that she wanted to set a good example for her two children. “These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now,” she added.

“I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most—the music and my fans.”

Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is definitely someone who is receiving offers from Bollywood following her Hindi web series debut with The Family Man 2. The actress has taken her own time in order to pick a project and it is none other than Dinesh Vijan’s next. Following Stree, Bhediya and Munjha, this will be the fourth film in the horror-comedy space from Maddock Films.

Earlier, it was reported that producer Dinesh Vijan had approached Samantha Ruth Prabhu for his next production with Ayushmann Khurrana. It is a horror-comedy and the talks were on for the same. Now, it seems like the actress has signed the project. Taking forward the horror-comedy universe, the film will see the actors playing fantasy characters. As per a report in a media portal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will essay the role of a princess whereas Ayushmann Khurrana will star as a vampire. Amar Kaushik has been roped in to direct the movie while Niren Bhatt will pen the script.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has the Hindi version of Russo Brothers’ Citadel, Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda and Yashoda. Apart from that, Ayushmann Khurrana has Dream Girl 2, Doctor G among other projects. Amar Kaushik will be helming Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Indra Kumar’s Thank God has been facing some legal hassles for its portrayal of Chitragupt played by Ajay Devgn. Now we hear that the film will also be facing a ban in Kuwait. The Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh starrer was not passed by the Censor Board as they have decided to stop the release of the film in the city.

Thank God portrays the story of a common man played by Sidharth Malhotra who meets Chitragupt in his after life, after he meets with an accident. As per Indian mythology, Chitragupt is a Hindu deity who is the bookkeeper who records the good and evil deeds of human beings. While the film portrays Ajay Devgn as the modern day Chitragupt, it is a social comedy that showcases him in a funny avatar. This has not gone down well with some of the Indian audiences as a UP based lawyer too moved the court by filing a complaint against the makers of the film for hurting the religious sentiments as well as mocking the religion.

Meanwhile, amidst the upcoming releases of Indian movies, apart from Thank God, the Kuwait Censor Board has green lit the releases of all other movies including the Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, and Shreya Dhanwanthary starrer Chup. Other films which will hit the Kuwait theatres include Goodbye that marks the Hindi debut of ‘national crush’ Rashmika Mandanna as well as the R Madhavan starrer Dhoka: Round D Corner. The Kuwait Censor Board has also passed the Tamil film Sinam without any cuts.

During the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, FoodCloud brought onboard 10,000 women from across India to give home chefs the platform to become self-reliant entrepreneurs. The emerging food delivery platform aims to improve gender parity, empower women and help them become self-reliant entrepreneurs. The successful business venture is on expansion mode currently and Arjun reveals that FoodCloud will now start its operations in the UAE.

Arjun announces saying, “As an Indian, I’m proud that my venture is going to be on a global platform for home chefs to get more exposure. We are thrilled to be expanding to the UAE and cater to Indians living there and satisfy their needs to eat home food that brings back memories of their roots.”

He adds, “At FoodCloud, we have been planning every step carefully while strategising on how our expansion plan should ideally look like. We figured that UAE is a potentially big market because it has a big population of Indians there. I’m proud that our brilliant home Chefs are now going international.”

Arjun further says, “It was always a part of our plan to give more and more exposure to our homegrown talent and we are proud that we are being able to live up to that promise. We can’t wait to see the potential that

But The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives is a huge success for Netflix. Critics said it won’t go beyond the first season. It went not only to the second season but now, to the third season as well. It is the Indian equivalent of Netflix’s 365 Days. The more critics trash it the more popular it is among viewers.”

The good news in season 3 of The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, is that true blue Bollywood wives Gauri Khan and Twinkle Khanna are likely to feature in full-fledged roles.

After Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi is yet another actress who seems to be in a fix owing to the Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case. Recently, the reality show judge-dancer was summoned by the Delhi police for questioning over the case after her brother-in-law accepted that he received a BMW car worth Rs. 65 lakhs. The Enforcement Directorate too questioned the actress in reference to the case.

As per recent reports, Nora Fatehi was questioned for six hours by the Delhi Police, who summoned her for the second time in relation to the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. These reports also claim that Nora’s brother-in-law Bobby and Sukesh’s accomplice Pinki Irani were questioned by Economics Wing with reference to the luxurious BMW. On the other hand, Nora reportedly maintained that she didn’t know Sukesh or Pinki personally and that she never met them. She claimed that she was only in touch with Chandrashekhar on WhatsApp.

For the uninitiated, Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently in jail after he was accused of money laundering and cheating high profile businessmen for whopping amounts. Besides Nora, Jacqueline Fernandez too has been facing accusations of being Sukesh’s accomplice.

In an earlier report submitted by the ED, while Jacqueline was named as one of the accused, Nora Fatehi was named as the witness in the case. However, there has been a recent turn of events in this case with Nora being summoned for a second round of questioning by the Delhi Police.
