A few days away from its premiere, Colors’ Bigg Boss 16,  hosted by Salman Khan, has sparked incredible excitement with its theme ‘Game badlega kyunki BIGG BOSS khud khelega’. While viewers wait for the big reveal of the house every year, this season will see an unexpected twist as the house will have four bedrooms for the first time ever!

Yes, you read it right! Enlivening the grand circus era and designed by Omung Kumar B. and Vanita Omung Kumar, the four bedrooms namely the ‘Fire Room’, ‘Black And White Room’, ‘Cards Room’, and ‘Vintage Room’. What these rooms have in store for the contestants remains to be seen! The elaborate set-up of the bedrooms also stirs speculation about what the contestants must overcome to earn them. How will they earn these rooms and what BIGG BOSS has in store for them will be fun to witness as the master of the house will also play the game.

At the press conference event, Salman Khan announced the first contestant, his Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star and Tajik singer Abdu Rozik.

Reportedly, Bigg Boss 16 will see Tina Dutta, Sreejita De, Gautam Vig, Shalin Bhanot, Sumbul Touqueer, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Manya Singh, Soundarya Sharma and Gori Nagori enter the house this season. The contestants are yet to be officially announced. They will be locked inside the Bigg Boss house for a hundred days.

Bigg Boss 16 is premiering on 1st October 2022 at 9.30 PM, Monday to Friday at 10.00 PM and Saturday – Sunday at 9.30 PM only on Colors and Voot.

Two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is all set to make her narrative feature directorial debut with Brilliance. The upcoming film will be a Paramount Pictures adaptation of the Marcus Sakey novel. On the other hand, Hollywood star Will Smith will be producing the film under the banner of his company Westbrook Studios. Though the official announcement regarding the star cast is not made, it is said that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is in talks to join the film.

According to a Twitter handle by the name of FilmUpdates, Mahira Khan is rumoured to be in early talks to join Will Smith in Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoyʼs Brilliance. For the unversed, earlier, Deadline has reported some inside information regarding the forthcoming film.

In a report, describing the premise of the film, the publication stated, “if 1% of the world’s children were born with powerful gifts, how would society adapt to them? The Brilliance novel trilogy is set in a future where non-neurotypical people — demonized by society as “twists” or “abnorms” — are threatening the status quo of the “normal” population with their unique gifts.”

Talking about Obaid-Chinoy, she is best known for directing Saving Face and A Girl in the River, The Price of Forgiveness and most recently Ms Marvel. Meanwhile, Smith will next star in Emancipation. In the upcoming Apple film, the star will be seen playing a hunted runaway enslaved man who struggles for freedom in the dangerous swamps of Louisiana. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the fact-based thriller’s release date is not announced yet.

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that the much-awaited trailer announcement video of Bhediya will be attached to Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha, which will be released in cinemas on September 30. The report was widely talked about, which made it clear that there is tremendous excitement among the audience to see this film. And now we bring to you one more exciting update about the film.

Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Bhediya‘s trailer will be out on Wednesday, October 19. The date holds a special significance – it was the day when Student of The Year (2012), Varun Dhawan’s debut film, was released. It was directed by Karan Johar and also served as the launch pad for Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.

The source told Bollywood Hungama, “It fell in place perfectly. The makers were planning to launch the trailer 35 days before the film’s release. And October 19 is a special day for Varun. He holds it in high regard as Student of The Year made him a household name. And Bhediya, too, is a special film for him considering it can earn him critical acclaim and amass moolah at the ticket window. As a result, it made sense to unveil the theatrical trailer on October 19.”

Meanwhile, Bhediya‘s teaser will be out on Friday, September 30 at 11 am. It also stars Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal, and is directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree (2018) and Bala (2019) fame. It will be released in cinemas on November 25, 2022.

Bhediya was also recently in the news when it came to light that Varun Dhawan is shooting for a promotional track in Mumbai. His dapper look got a lot of appreciation.

Interestingly, Bhediya was shot in Arunachal Pradesh and is one of the rare films to be shot in the North-Eastern state. The filming took place in the first half of 2021, during the height of the second Covid wave. However, the shooting was carried out with all precautions in place.

Grammy-winning rapper Coolio, popularly known for ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’, died on Wednesday at the age 59. As per several reports, he was found dead at his friend’s house in Los Angeles.

The rapper’s longtime manager Jarel Posey confirmed the death news of the rapper. “We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon. He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly,” Sheila Finegan, his manager at Trinity Artists International, said in a statement to Variety. “Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing. Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

Several industry folks took to social media to mourn the loss of the artist. Born as Artis Leon Ivey Jr., the rapper grew famous in the ’90s with his 1995 track ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ in Dangerous Minds. His theme track for the TV Kenan & Kel was widely popular as well.  He was most recently seen at at Chicago’s Riot Fest on September 18.

Many shows in the past have showcased the way female infants are treated in traditional Indian communities, especially revolving around the Northern belt. While there are some shows in the past which have portrayed crimes like female infanticide, child marriage in the past, Star Plus is all set to come up with a show named ‘Faltu’ that will highlight the inspirational journey of a girl from India’s heartland. Faltu is the story of an unwanted and unwelcomed girl child that revolves around her journey to gain acceptance from her feudal family, and make her people proud.

A source close to the production house said, “The world has come a long way ahead of gender discrimination that was witnessed in previous times when a boy child was always considered a gift and a girl child was a curse.   In some parts of the country, people still name their girl child as ‘antima’ ,‘nakusha’ and many others, which carries a hidden message that signifies ‘now it’s time for a boy’. The show highlights a prevalent aspect of society, through the lens of a third girl child in a conservative community of Rajasthan.”

The show is extensively shot in Rajasthan to maintain authenticity and realness in terms of the feel and the ambiance. “Faltu goes on to prove that she is anything but Faltu, in fact she is a Heera, who deserves to be loved and respected by all around her! The show promises to be a one of its kind story that holds a very strong message for society about the strength of a girl child,” the source added.

Speaking about the show, produced by Boy Hood Productions, it is expected to feature Niharika Chouksey and Aakash Ahuja in the lead role.
