Soon after the announcement of the team working on Aashiqui 3, some rumours started brewing around the casting of this much anticipated third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise! The spokesperson of T-Series released an official statement that puts all speculations and rumours at rest, here’s what they had to say.

Rumours were rife that popular television actress Jennifer Winget was starring opposite Kartik Aaryan. Now, the makers have debunked the speculations. “There is no truth to any rumours pertaining to the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3. The search for the perfect fit for the movie is still ongoing. We are currently in a very early stage where we are still coming up with ideas for the movie. Much like the audience, we are eagerly awaiting to finalise the female lead of the film and would love to share it with the fans as early as possible,” the statement said.

The partnership formed in 1990 with Aashiqui, T-Series and Vishesh Films continue their 32 years of association by announcing Aashiqui 3. Producer Mukesh Bhatt and Producer Bhushan Kumar team together once again for the much expected third instalment with director Anurag Basu, music composed by Pritam and starring man of the moment Kartik Aaryan in the lead.

Brahmastra is only two days away from the release and the anticipation is through the roof. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, director Ayan Mukerji and the producers have left no stone unturned to promote the film. While there has been some boycott calls for the film, the advance bookings are showing a positive trend. Amidst this, the lead actors and the director stepped out on Tuesday to visit Mahakal temple in Ujjain but were stopped by Bajrang Dal members. Videos of the police charging the protesters went viral on social media.

Ujjain CSP Om Prakash Mishra told ANI that the protesters had begun to fight with police officers. “We were making arrangements as some VIPs were about to visit Mahakaleshwar temple. During which some people started gathering here to protest against them. One of the protestors started fighting with police officers,” Mishra said. Police said action has been taken against the protests under section 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal Code.

In a video, a Bajrang Dal member said that they won’t let them enter the temple.  “We are protesting against Ranbir Kapoor and won’t let him enter the Mahakal temple. He made derogatory statements against our gaumata. He had said eating beef is good,” he said.

The statement in question was by Ranbir Kapoor made in 2011 during Rockstar promotions. An old video resurfaced during the promotions of Brahmastra in which Kapoor said that he loved eating beef. “My family is from Peshawar, so a lot of Peshawari food has come with them. I am a mutton, paya, and beef fan. Yeah, I am a big beef fan,” he said.

Meanwhile, S.S Rajamouli presents Brahmāstra – Part One: Shiva in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the magnum opus will release theatrically on September 9 across 5 Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada with a stellar ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

A lot went down at the premiere of Don’t Worry Darlings premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2022 on Monday but one incident left the netizens confused. A video went viral on social media in which it seemed like singer-actor Harry Styles spat on actor Chris Pine who seemingly looked amused. As the discussions around the video viral on social media, a representative of Chris Pine had to release a statement calling it a ridiculous story.

“This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation,” Pine’s representative said in a statement to Variety. “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”

“This is not true,” The Guardian reported, as per sources close to Harry Styles on Tuesday.

While this drama unfolded on the internet, the lead actress Florence Pugh didn’t attend the press conference of the film due to her alleged fallout with director Olivia Wilde. She attended the red carpet and the screening but didn’t interact with Wilde. According to Variety, when asked at a Venice press conference whether Wilde can “clear the air” about the alleged falling out with Pugh, the director said, “Florence is a force. We are so grateful she’s able to make it tonight [for the red carpet] despite being in production on Dune. I know, as a director, how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I’m very grateful to her, and to [Dune director Denis Villeneuve] for helping us.”

“And we’ll get to celebrate her work tonight. I can’t say how honoured, I am to have her as our lead. She’s amazing. As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, the Internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute; I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished,” said Wilde. Previously, it was reported that Pugh will reportedly sit out of the upcoming psychological film’s press conference in Venice Film Festival after the film premieres.

Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, Olivia Wilde and Chris Pine, Don’t Worry Darling hits the theatres on September 23.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is on a signing spree. Following his special appearance in the Marvel series Ms. Marvel, the actor has now announced his next project Money Back Guaranteed starring alongside former cricketer Wasim Akram. The first poster was unveiled on Tuesday.

Sharing the poster on his Instagram, he wrote, “Unveiling the first look of our next movie “Money Back Guarantee – MBG”.

Starring Fawad Khan, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Ayesha Omar, Javed Sheikh, Jan Rambo, Gohar Rasheed, Hina Dilpazir, Shayan Khan, Mani, Kiran Malik, Ali Safina, Marhoom Ahmad Bilal, Adnan Jaffer, Shafaat Ali and Aqdas Waseem, the film is helmed by Faisal Qureshi. The teaser will be unveiled on September 9, 2022. It hits the theatres on April 21, 2023.

On the work front, Fawad Khan will headline the Pakistani magnum opus The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Mahira Khan. The film is all set to arrive in theatres on October 13. Featuring Fawad as Maula Jatt and Mahira as Mukkho, the Punjabi-language film is a remake of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt. It also stars Hamza Ali Abbasi.

In a recent event attended by Uorfi Javed, the reality show contestant expressed her displeasure with the media and angrily lashed out at them for commenting on her clothes. The media questioned her about her look when she attended the launch event of Sunny Leone and Remo D’Souza song ‘Naach Baby’ in a backless olive green dress, representing her unique style. However, when the actress was seen in a much subtler outfit at the recent Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa bash, that didn’t match her usual dressing sense, the media questioned her regarding it. However, it seems that it irked Uorfi, who later lashed out at the media stating that they don’t respect her even when she treats them with respect.

In a recent video, where Uorfi Javed was seen posing for paparazzi at the Sunny Leone event ‘Naach Baby’. She said, “Guys I am not coming here for this. Tumhein agar comment karna hai na toh apni girlfriend aur maa-behen ke ghar pe jaake karo. Mere kapdon pe koi comment nahi karega. (If you want to comment, go to your girlfriend or mother or sister’s house to comment on them. No one will comment on my clothes anymore.) One more comment from any one of you and that’s it. I give you guys so much respect and this is what I am getting back?”

She went on to recall about how one of the media personnel passed a comment on her clothes when she attendd the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa bash. She said, “Jab mein Jhalak mein aayi thi, tum mein se hi ek banda comment kar raha hai ki main dhank ke kapde pehen ke aayi thi. (When I attended Jhalak, one of the people from you guys, commented that I had worn decent clothes that day).”

From glass pieces to ropes, Uorfi Javed is known for her different styles of clothing and has remained to be one of the paparazzi favorites considering her unique sense of style. But it seems that the same paps ended up rubbing her the wrong way this time!
