Al Pacino, Charlie Heaton and Diana Silvers join Alec Griffen Roth’s debut feature film, Billy Knight – an indie drama whose filming begins this week in Los Angeles.

According to Variety, Billy Knight follows grad school students Alex (Heaton) and Emily (Silvers) who dream of becoming filmmakers. In addition to wanting to make it in the movie business, Alex is also grappling with the death of his father, a failed screenwriter. The only thing Alex’s father left him was a box of unfinished scripts and a handkerchief with the name “Billy Knight” embroidered on it.

Those clues send Alex on a quest to find the mysterious and reclusive Billy Knight. “Billy Knight is a love letter to cinema, a fantasy steeped in the history of this great art-form. It’s also the tale of two struggling artists, an introspective struggle of a young man trying to find his voice, and discovering what’s important in life,” said Roth. “Having the incomparable Al Pacino and the incredible talents Charlie Heaton and Diana Silvers in the film is a dream come true.”

Prominent Productions’ Autumn Bailey-Ford and Cameron Burnett are producing with Sevier Crespo and Amanda Kiely, with Sarah Sarandos, Josh Clayton, Kirk Martin and Our World Films’ Peter Bortel to serve as executive producers.

On the work front, Pacino was last seen in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci and was recently announced to be co-producing the Johnny Depp helmed biopic Modigliani. Heaton is freshly coming off the fourth season of Stranger Things. He also starred in 202 film The Souvenir Part 2.

Meanwhile, Silver is known for Booksmart Ava, Glass and Ma. She will next star alongside Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth in Netflix romantic film, Lonely Planet.

Pop Titans BTS’ label BIGHIT Music has filed a criminal complaint against an unnamed person who has been spreading malicious and defaming rumours. This is in continuation to the regular legal proceedings that the agency conducts against the perpetrators of malicious activities related to BTS.

“Our company regularly initiates legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious activities related to BTS, including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, the spread of groundless information, and ill-intentioned criticism. We would like to provide an update on these activities. We have recently filed additional criminal complaints against postings with personal attacks and defamation using new information provided by fans as well as collected through our monitoring initiatives,” the statement began, posted on their microblogging site Weverse.

It further read, “We have found multiple defamation postings containing false information about the artists on platforms in and outside of Korea. We also have found that a specific poster has been spreading the same ill-intentioned rumor in multiple platforms and filed a criminal complaint against the poster after gathering all of the repetitively uploaded postings. We are currently following our legal response process which monitors and collects evidence on malicious postings for 365 days and then includes them on the complaint. Active reporting of our fans has been a big help to our malicious postings monitoring initiatives.”

“We would also like to share with you that after an extended police investigation, we were able to identify the suspect and the case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office,” it continued.

“BIGHIT regularly collects information on malicious postings regarding BTS, reports them to the authorities, and files criminal complaints. We would like to stress that we will continue to initiate strict measures to ensure that these malicious acts are not repeated, and our policy of no settlement and no leniency remains in effect. We ask that you make continued use of our hotline to report any cases of abuse. We will continue to work to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected,” the statement concluded.

While the suspect is unnamed, in recent times, member V (Kim Taehyung) has been a victim of several leaked photos with an unnamed person claiming that the singer-songwriter is dating BLACKPINK’s Jennie. Several leaked photos have been floating on social media though the singer’s face isn’t clearly seen in the pictures.

On May 22, following the rumors of Jennie and Big Bang’s G-Dragon’s break up, pictures of individuals resembling Jennie and V together started circulating online. As Korean media Soompi reported, a photo taken on Jeju Island featuring two individuals resembling Jennie and V recently spread on online communities, leading to rumors that the two are in a relationship. When reached out for a response by news outlets, Jennie’s agency YG Entertainment briefly commented, “We have nothing to say [regarding this matter].”

Netizens claimed that BLACKPINK’s iCloud was backed recently while no agencies have put out further clarifications on the photos or the alleged relationship.

After creating a lot of hype on social media, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn finally dropped the first look of his character Vijay Salgaonkar from Drishyam 2. Interestingly, the actor took to his social media handle on Thursday and shared a recall teaser. The video was a revisit to the story of the prequel. However, the last few seconds of the one-minute-twenty-two-seconds long teaser gave a glimpse into Drishyam 2.

At various scenes throughout the teaser video, some words appear on the screen, which read, “some secrets never stay buried”. Before the video ends. We can hear one of the dialogues of Tabu’s character, which goes – “when there is no evidence, the only way is – to get the confession of the criminal.”

Right after that, we see Vijay Salgaonkar, on record, saying, “This is my confession”, in Hindi. Sharing the recall teaser, Devgn wrote, “Vijay aur uske parivaar ki kahaani toh yaad hogi na aapko? Ki yaad dilaye?” As soon as the teaser was shared on the actor’s social media feed, fans and netizens flooded the comments section with “can’t wait.”

Drishyam 2 is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The original score and music are by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad). Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has truly turned the charts with his blockbuster movie The Kashmir Files. While the film went on to collect huge numbers at the box office, it also won the hearts of the audience with its thought-provoking story based on the Hindu Genocide in Kashmir. The 48-year-old director seemed very happy with the kind of support and acclamation the film is receiving. The heart-wrenching story of the film provoked every emotion of the Indian citizen. The director created a cinematic wonder that made its mark with its strong content that has the power to give voice to many Kashmiri pandits whose stories drive the audience back to the cinema halls.

For the unversed, The Kashmir Files was released on March 11, 2022. The film featured Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi.

Netflix on Wednesday introduced the cast of Berlin, spin-off of La Casa De Papel aka Money Heist. At a press conference in Madrid, the announcement of the start of filming and the new cast of Berlin was introduced that follows the most extraordinary heists of the iconic character played by Pedro Alonso.

In the words of its creators Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina during the press conference, “Berin’s character has the most sparkling personality to place it in another universe. We loved the idea of introducing a new gang around Berlin in a completely different emotional state.”

Pedro Alonso returns to the role of the hedonistic and clever Berlin. Alongside him, his new gang: Michelle Jenner (Isabel) plays Keila, an eminence in electronic engineering; Tristán Ulloa (Fariña) goes into the skin of Damián, a philanthropic professor and Berlin’s confidant; Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden) plays Cameron, a kamikaze who always lives on the edge; Julio Peña Fernández (Through My Window) brings to life Roi, Berlin’s faithful squire; and Joel Sánchez plays Bruce, the relentless man of action in the gang.

During the press conference, Pedro Alonso revealed how the script for the series begins, “There are only ten things that can turn a terrible day into a wonderful one. The first is love. And the truth, that wasn’t the case. My third wife had just left me…The second is a spoil of more than ten million euros. But it wasn’t the case either. We were going to steal the link to a much bigger heist, today’s was easy. But if you have a bad day, you can end up bringing a miserable to his knees and aiming for his head.”

The eight episodes of the series, created by Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina, are written by David Oliva, David Berrocal, Esther Martínez Lobato and Álex Pina and will be directed by Albert Pintó, David Barrocal and Geoffrey Cowper. The series will begin shooting on October 3 in Paris and will take place over several weeks between the French capital and Madrid.
