The craze for Brahmastra is increasing with each passing day. In India, it has sold more than 50,000 tickets and this is a feat considering that the film’s release is still 5 days away. And even overseas, it seems to have generated a craze. Bollywood Hungama had broken the news a few days ago about how the advance booking of the film has opened in the USA more than 10 days before release, including in certain non-traditional centres.

And now, it has come to light that the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer, which is all set to be released on September 9, has achieved one more feat. On Saturday, September 3, the USA celebrated ‘National Cinema Day’ and as part of the celebrations, a 4-minute 50-seconds long pre-show sizzle reel was shown to the viewers, comprising glimpses of more than 30 upcoming films from different studios. And Brahmastra was the only Indian film to be a part of it!

Deadline published a complete list of 33 films which are a part of the sizzle reel. 9 films of Disney made it to this video and the reputed studio included Brahmastra as well, alongside biggies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Avatar 2: The Way Of Water. The other biggies Brahmastra shared space with the video are Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, Black Adam, The Woman King, Bones And All, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, Don’t Worry Darling, etc.

An industry expert said, “This speaks volumes of the excitement that Brahmastra has generated worldwide. For Disney to feature Brahmastra in this video proves how much the head honchos in the USA are looking forward to this film. It’s no surprise that they are releasing it widely in North America.”

Fury Of The Gods, Black Adam.)

September 3 was celebrated as National Cinema Day, during which 3000 theatres in the USA offered tickets for just $3 (Rs. 240 approx). A similar celebration was also held in the United Kingdom on the same day. In India, National Cinema Day will be held on Friday, September 16. All major multiplex chains on this day will offer tickets for Rs. 75. The offer will also be applicable in IMAX and 4DX screens.

Parineeti Chopra has been a vocal ocean conservationist and she has been roped in to raise awareness of the importance of cleaning up the beaches in Mumbai. Parineeti has, in the past, posted videos of her clearing plastic waste underwater in a bid to raise her voice to keep oceans clean.

In a video posted by her, she says, “I wish you all a very very happy Ganeshotsav and hope that Ganpati Bappa bestows us with wisdom and prosperity. As we celebrate this beautiful auspicious festival, we tend to forget what happens after the festivities are over.”

She adds, “Every year during ‘Ganpati Visarjan’, we leave behind immense litter on our beaches that unfortunately ends up in the water. This not only pollutes the sea but also causes a lot of damage that can cause mass deaths of our marine animals. As we celebrate this festival with full vigour we must also take the responsibility to clean up with the same energy and protect both our marine life as well as our own home planet.”

She has joined hands with Divjay foundation and the Bhamla foundation for this cause and she urges people to join her for this cause. She says, “On the 10th of September 2022 join me to clean up our beaches & make them debris free. I am sure that would make Bappa really happy. So, let us make Cleanotsav 2022 a grand success.”

The teaser of the film gave viewers a glimpse of the characters of Vikram & Vedha while introducing the audience to the intriguing story. Now, the actors are gearing up for the trailer release on September 8, 2022.

Vikram Vedha is an action-thriller written & directed by Pushkar-Gayatri. The story is full of twists and turns, as a tough cop Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) sets out to track and chase a dreaded gangster Vedha (Hrithik Roshan). Jr NTR was the chief guest at a promotional event of Brahmastra held in Hyderabad at a five-star hotel. The event was held previously at Ramoji Film City, but it got cancelled. At the very beginning of his speech he said, “I’d like to apologize to my fans. Due to police protection reasons, the event couldn’t happen. I’d also like to apologize to the media for the (change in plans).”

He then spoke highly of Brahmastra‘s lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, “I have liked many actors of the Indian film industry. But very few of them have left a mark on me. I really enjoy Amitabh Bachchan sir’s intensity in every film, be it his eyes, his voice, the way he stood etc. And after Amit ji, the actor I connect to is Ranbir. Every film of his has inspired me as an actor. My most favourite film of his is Rockstar (2011). The intensity in his performance left a huge mark on me. He inspires me as an actor. Its nice to share the stage with him, that too, in my hometown Hyderabad. It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of Brahmastra‘s promotions. I’d like to thank Rajamouli Garu for this opportunity.” For the unversed, S S Rajamouli is the presenter of Brahmastra in South India.

Jr NTR continued, “Ranbir, your journey as an actor doesn’t stop with Brahmastra. You need to go to search for the Brahmastra of acting. I pray to God that you achieve all you want as an actor.”

Jr NTR then spoke about his RRR co-star, Alia, “Here, we have one of the finest actors of our generation, Alia. She is a very close friend and a darling. So many people were sitting here, and I am emotionally connected the most to Rajamouli sir followed by Nagarjuna and then Alia. The conversations we have had during RRR proved that she is a gem of a person. I am sure Brahmastra is going to be another feather in her cap.”

Jr NTR added, “Karan Johar and Rajamouli have united the Indian film industry! Let us hope that Karan sir achieves yet another milestone with this movie.” He also remembered director Ayan Mukerji, who wasn’t present at the event, “From Wake Up Sid to Brahmastra, what a journey! Finally, he spoke about the tough time faced by producers now, “Audiences want something more than what we are delivering now. I personally believe that we perform better when we are under pressure. So, I think the industry should accept this challenge and should make better films for the audience. I hope everybody understands it. I am not putting anybody down here. Let’s accept the challenge, move ahead and make great films for our viewers. I truly hope that Brahmastra emerges as the Brahmastra of our Indian film industry!”

South Korean actor is heading to tie the knot soon. The Roundup star, who is now engaged, shared his marriage plans in a heartfelt letter shared online.

According to Korean media portal Soompi, on September 2, the actor took to Instagram to personally announce that he was engaged to be married. In addition to sharing a beautiful photo from his wedding shoot, Heo Dong Won shared, as translated by Soompi, “Hello, this is Heo Dong Won. Thank you for always cheering me on and taking an interest in me.”

He continued, “I should have been the one to personally announce this good news first, before anyone else, so I’m sorry that you had to find out through news reports instead. Since there’s still a lot of time left [until the wedding], I do feel a bit wary of making this announcement so early, but I’d be happy if you sent us your warm-hearted interest and support.”

“My parents always worried that I’d bring home the precious daughter of another family and make her suffer, but I’ve met someone who is voluntarily signing up for that suffering,” he wrote. “I ask that you cheer on both myself, who will become the husband of a beautiful family, and my bride-to-be, who will become the most precious friend of my life.”

The letter further read, “As an actor who always does his best on the filming set with a sincere heart, I will work hard to bring you delight, happiness, and laughter through my acting, a job that I truly love. I will always try to approach you with positive energy, without forgetting my initial mindset from the beginning of my career.”

He concluded the letter writing, “Finally, I pray that all of you will be healthy and happy, and I will never forget my gratitude and thankfulness [towards you all] as I live my life. Thank you.”
