Satyaprem Ki Katha is one of the keenly awaited films because of its pair of Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Both the actors have become stars over the last few years, courtesy some successful films. More importantly, their last outing together in the form of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 struck gold at the box office.

Being a love story, Satyaprem Ki Katha has music playing a major role. Kartik has kick-started a song shoot for the film since yesterday at Mumbai’s Madh Island. The track is choreographed by Bosco Martis.

Bollywood Hungama has come to know that the song is shot on a large scale. A huge set has been erected at Madh for the same. The song also features a large number of background dancers. Interestingly, some among them are professional Kathakali dancers as well.

After the shoot of this particular song gets completed, it will be a wrap for Satyaprem Ki Katha. The film is all set to release in theatres on June 29.

Satyaprem Ki Katha marks the Bollywood debut of filmmaker Sameer Vidwans. He has been a known and successful Marathi filmmaker since a decade. Some of his popular films in the language include Time Please, Double Seat, Anandi Gopal and Dhurala. He made his Marathi web series debut in 2021 with the second season of MX Player’s Samantar, which starred Swapnil Joshi, Nitish Bharadwaj, Sai Tamhankar and Tejaswini Pandit.

Filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta is known for making socially relevant hard-hitting films like Aamir, No One Killed Jessica, Raid and India’s Most Wanted. He is now all set to make his web-series debut in a show that is yet untitled. It’s produced by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead.

The story of the show will revolve around the pharma industry of India. The team has already started shooting the show in Chandigarh. It is all set to stream on Voot Select.

The show will also make Riteish’s debut in the web series space. In the past, he had done a web show Pyaar Actually, but he was a part of just one of the four anthological stories. He also did another web show called Case Toh Banta Hai but that was more into the non-fiction zone where he played himself, along with Varun Sharma.

Riteish was last seen in the Marathi movie Ved, which saw him paired opposite his wife and actress Genelia Deshmukh. The film was also his directorial debut which went onto become one of the biggest hits in Marathi cinema.

Raj Kumar Gupta’s last project India’s Most Wanted was released back in 2019. It starred Arjun Kapoor in the lead along with Rajesh Sharma among others. The aforementioned web show will be a comeback of sorts for him.

After a successful first season, Bigg Boss OTT is all set to return on VOOT with its second season.  While there are many names of contestants doing the rounds, the latest one is that of creative producer Mahesh Poojary. Although there has been no confirmation, sources close to the contestant have been asserting that he will be a part of Bigg Boss OTT 2.

A source close to the contestant confirmed the developments adding, “Yes, Mahesh Poojary has been approached for the show and the talks are on between him and the makers. He is quite keen to join the show and will be signing on the dotted line soon. For the unversed, Mahesh Poojary has worked as a creative producer for television, web series and songs in entertainment industry.

Besides him, other names that are doing the rounds include Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen, who had recently confessed that he has been approached for the show, newly turned father Zaid Darbar, son of Ismail Darbar and husband of Gauahar Khan, model and reality show star Poonam Pandey, digital celebrity Faisal Shaikh aka Mr. Faisu, reality show star Munawar Farooqui among others.

While the last season was hosted by Karan Johar, rumours had it that the filmmaker will be hosting the second season. However, now it is being said that Bigg Boss host Salman Khan will be hosting on the OTT platform too. While the television Bigg Boss recently had its sixteenth season, the OTT follows a slightly different format. Moreover, audiences get to witness more updates on what their contestants are up to in the house.

The first season of Bigg Boss OTT featured celebrities like Divya Agarwal, Uorfi Javed, Bollywood actors Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat, choreographer Nishant Bhat, singer Neha Bhasin, popular television actress Ridhima Pandit, among others with Divya winning the trophy.

The popular television sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making consistent headlines for a variety of reasons, sparking controversies within its production. The makers of the series have recently faced allegations from several former cast members. Another former actor to join the list is Priya Ahuja, who used to play the character of Rita Reporter.

For the unversed, initially, Shailesh Lodha, a former star of TMKOC, accused the show’s makers of delaying his payment. More recently, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal came forward, accusing not only the production team but also Asit Kumar Modi, the creator of the show, of harassment. Following these revelations, Monika Bhadoriya, who portrayed the character of Bawri, shed light on the behind-the-scenes struggles of being an actor on the show.

In an interview with the Times Of India, Priya asserted, “The artists have to go through mental harassment when they work on Taarak Mehta. Asit Kumarr Modi bhai, Sohil Ramani or Jatin Bajaj (he’s like my younger brother) they never misbehaved with me. But as far work is concerned I’ve been subjected to unfair treatment.”

The actress further stated that she was completely unaware of her character’s trajectory, even after her director husband’s departure from the show. Priya revealed that she had attempted to seek clarification from the makers but received no response. Furthermore, she recounted instances where the show’s producer, Asit Modi had made sexist remarks. She recalled, “Asit bhai has told me this many times ‘Malav is earning then why do you have to worry? You enjoy life like a queen.”

Ahuja also added that it is “unfortunate” that she did not get the basic respect despite working with the team for 14 long years. Speaking of the professional front, Priya recently made a comeback on the TV screens with StarPlus’ Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
