Hey there, Beyoncé fans! Get ready to be excited because Queen Bey has just kicked off her much-awaited world tour, and it looks like it’s going to be epic. The Renaissance World Tour started on Wednesday in Sweden. As this marked her first solo concert outing in seven years, fans were thrilled to see their favourite performer take the stage once again.

Talking about Beyoncé’s stunning outfits from the tour, she was absolutely slaying in a sheer bodysuit from Loewe with jewelled embellishments and arm motifs featuring red nails. And that Alexander McQueen bodysuit with silver bugle bead and crystal anatomical embroidery was nothing short of spectacular. But wait, there’s more!

Queen Bey also showed off a sparkly silver bodysuit with cutouts and faux-mirror details that had everyone in awe. And don’t even get us started on the holographic mini dress with a matching jacket by David Koma – it was out of this world! It’s no surprise that Beyonce always manages to bring her A-game when it comes to her performances and fashion choices.

Speaking of her performance, the Grammy Award-winning singer performed 36 tracks for nearly three hours. Her performance included various songs from her seventh studio album Renaissance, such as ‘Alien Superstar,’ ‘Cuff It,’ ‘Pure/Honey’ and ‘Plastic Off the Sofa. During the second part of the show, Beyoncé surprised the audience by singing the opening verse of Britney Spears’ popular song Toxic, which was modified with a ticking sound to create a unique twist

The 41-year-old singer will make stops in more than 40 cities including London, Paris, Barcelona and Toronto. She will wrap up the tour on September 27 in New Orleans.

Akshay Kumar is a rare star of Bollywood who believes in completing and also releasing multiple films in a year. His last few films didn’t work at the box office but his popularity is intact and his upcoming films are being eagerly awaited. One of his next releases is based on a real-life incident that took place in 1989 in a mine. For the longest time, the film has been addressed as Capsule Gill. But Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the final title of the film, as approved by the makers, is different.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film is now called The Great Indian Rescue. The makers feel that it does justice to the plot of the film. Also, they believe that title mein dum hai. It is based on an incredible real rescue mission and what better title than The Great Indian Rescue.”

The Great Indian Rescue is all set to release in cinemas this year. Trade sources say that this might be Akshay Kumar’s next release after Selfiee, though Soorarai Pottru remake is scheduled for September 1. It now remains to be seen which film releases first in the theatres.

The Great Indian Rescue is based on former additional chief mining engineer, the late Jaswant Singh Gill, who saved the lives of 65 people trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj of West Bengal, in 1989. The film was shot last year in Yorkshire. Akshay Kumar is seen in a turbaned look in this film and the first look of his character succeeded in grabbing eyeballs.

Besides Akshay Kumar, The Great Indian Rescue also stars Parineeti Chopra and is produced by Pooja Entertainment. It is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. Both Akshay Kumar and Tinu had earlier worked on the 2016 courtroom drama, Rustom (2016).

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film Shaakuntalam, which did not fare well with the audience and the box office, is now ready for a digital release. The mythological film will be available for streaming on OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. Though the movie received negative reviews, it was praised for Samantha’s impressive performance as Shaakuntala.

Shaakuntalam, which was released theatrically a month ago, is now set for digital release on Amazon Prime Videos. The announcement of the OTT release was made on social media. The film will be streamed on the platform starting from May 11 in various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. This Friday, audiences can enjoy watching Shaakuntalam in the comfort of their own homes. Sharing the poster of the film, the caption read, “get ready to witness an epic and timeless tale of love that transcends all boundaries #ShaakuntalamOnPrime, watch now.”

As soon as the news went live, Samantha’s fans poured their love for the actress in the comments section. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “epic story of mahabharat dynasty,” while another comment read, “Excited to watch.”

The mythological drama was based on Kalidasa’s Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The story revolved around an epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant of Mahabharat. Besides Samantha, the film also featured Dev Mohan, Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr.M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta and others. This was Samantha’s second film after myositis diagnosis.

StarPlus show Pandya Store is currently riding high on its TRP with its gripping plot and the recent twist of Shweta being married to Krish. Now a new entry has been scheduled in the show. It is that of Heena Parmar. She will be seen essaying the role of Arushi, who is the step-sister of Dhara (Shiny Doshi).  With the entry of Arushi into the Pandya family, audiences will get to watch a new drama unfold as Arushi will be adding some spice to the show.

Confirming her entry and talking about her character Heena Parmar said, “I am playing the character of Arushi, Dhara’s (Shiny Doshi) sister in the show Pandya Store. Arushi is carefree and a straightforward girl yet a tomboy. She is a typical Mumbai girl who has come to Somnath. Arushi’s entry is going to create a wreck in the life of Dhara and her other family members. Arushi dislikes Dhara and with this entry, it will be intriguing to watch what happens next.”

She further elaborated on her reason for signing the show adding, “The reason I wanted to play Arushi was because of the layers that the character has and this is something very different from what I have done before. It is going to be challenging to play this character. The appearance given to Arushi is also very different. In real life, her and Heena are completely different. I hope the audience showers me with love and appreciation for my role.”

As for the current track, it revolves around Krish, Prerna and Shweta. With Shweta marrying Krish, the Pandya family is trying to overcome the friction that has emerged because of this forced relationship. Shweta has succeeded in her evil plans and because of that, Prerna is on the verge of leaving the Pandya House. While Dhara tries to save her family, Arushi will become the new twist that awaits to enter the lives of the Pandya Family.

Pandya Store is produced by Sphere Origins and airs on Star Plus from Monday to Sunday at 7.30pm. It also features Kinshuk Mahajan (Gautam), Akshay Koradia (Dev), Kanwar Dhillon (Shiva), Simran Budharup (Ritika), Alice Kaushik (Raavi), among others in lead roles.
