The Plant and Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) Mumbai has filed a complaint with forest authorities, seeking legal action against actress Chhaya Kadam for allegedly admitting to consuming meat from protected wildlife species in a recent interview. The NGO has called for an investigation into the sourcing of the meat and potential poaching violations, prompting the Thane Forest Department to initiate an inquiry.

NGO’s Complaint and Official Response
PAWS Mumbai submitted a letter to the Chief Conservator of Forests (Thane) and the Divisional Forest Officer (Thane), highlighting Kadam’s interview claims. Sunish Subramanian Kunju, Honorary Wildlife Warden and PAWS-Mumbai founder, stated, “Our team came across an interview of actress Chhaya Kadam where she claimed to have eaten meat of protected wildlife species such as mouse deer, rabbits, wild boar, monitor lizard, and porcupine in a radio interview posted on YouTube. This sends a wrong message to the public and constitutes an offence under various sections of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. We also request that relevant sections of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 be applied. The interview should be considered as an admission of guilt. We urge you to investigate and take legal action against her and others involved in this criminal activity of wildlife poaching for meat.”

Roshan Rathod, Divisional Forest Officer (Vigilance), confirmed, “We have received the complaint. It has been forwarded by the Chief Conservator of Forests to the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) for inquiry. The actress will be called in for investigation soon.” The complaint cites violations of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and the Biodiversity Act, 2002, urging authorities to treat Kadam’s statements as a criminal admission.

Neha Kakkar found herself at the centre of a controversy during her recent concert in Melbourne after a video surfaced online showing the singer tearfully addressing fans about her delay, after which she made many mismanagement and non-payment allegations against the event’s organizers. She claimed her band members were denied food and water, and that the organizers failed to make her payment or meet basic commitments in a social media note. However, in a dramatic turn of events, the organizers have now come forward to refute her accusations and level serious counterclaims against the singer.

Following the backlash over the concert, Neha took to social media to pen a note accusing the organizers of mismanagement and lack of hospitality. However, Bikram Singh Randhawa, part of the organizing team, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, denied her version of events. “The crowd was ready and cheering, expecting her to come on stage. But she showed up at 10 PM — that’s two and a half hours late since the scheduled time was 7:30 PM. So the crowd got upset and angry. In Australia, people value their time. People had made special efforts to come with their families. Some even bought tickets worth AUD 300 — that’s around Rs 15,000 to Rs 16,000,” Randhawa said.

He further clarified that Neha had been paid in full well before the concert and that she was offered “lavish accommodation” based on her own requirements. The organizers alleged that Neha was reluctant to perform due to an audience turnout of 700 people. “Only 700 people? Until more people come in and this place fills up, I’m not going to perform,” Neha reportedly told the organizers just before her act.

Event host Pace D also spoke out about the incident and backed the organizers’ account. “Beat Production from Melbourne was the one who invited Neha Kakkar. Now that both parties have come forward and spoken openly, then why can’t we? We were there and saw everything. I spoke to Preet Pabla bhai, who was the event organiser. I asked him everything. He’s a very nice and genuine person. That’s when I found out that she didn’t arrive on time and there were multiple delays. He told me that she kept saying things like, ‘I won’t go now; I won’t do this.’”

Responding to her mismanagement complaint, he said, “This was such a big show, the entire tech rider was in place. There were opening acts, and everyone performed. Her mic and complete setup were fully ready. So, the things she’s been saying don’t seem to be true, because we saw with our own eyes that everything was set up properly.”

As of now, Neha Kakkar has not publicly responded to these new allegations. The incident continues to divide opinion online.

Filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are returning to cinema with a new theatrical project after seven years. The duo is reportedly developing a new big-screen venture. Notably, their last big-screen project was Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor, where they served as writers and producers. Meanwhile, their last theatrical directorial venture was A Gentleman, starring Sidharth Malhotra, released in 2017.

The portal quoted a source saying, “They will helm one, while the other will have another director. Raj-DK have regularly roped in different voices —  be it Stree that launched Amar Kaushik as a director, or Suparn Varma who took charge of certain episodes in The Family Man 2. Their Telugu production, Cinema Bandi [2021], too kickstarted Praveen Kandregula’s directorial career. If things go as planned, one of the movies will roll in the second half of 2026.”

Raj & DK have dominated the digital space with acclaimed series like The Family Man, Farzi, and Citadel: Honey Bunny. Sharing an update on their upcoming work, besides theatrical release, the source further added, “They are neck-deep in three series at the moment — preparing for Farzi 2’s shoot, and juggling Rakt Bramhand and the post-production of The Family Man 3.”

“While work on these three shows is progressing briskly, they have also begun shaping up their theatrical slate. After wrapping up the Shahid and Vijay-led crime thriller by mid-2026, Raj-DK intends to take their first theatrical venture on the floors in seven years,” the source concluded.

Bollywood actor Sohail Khan has leased out a shop in Mumbai’s Bandra area to The Irish House Food and Beverages Private Limited, with the monthly rent starting at Rs. 16.89 lakh. According to property registration documents accessed via the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website and reviewed by Square Yards, the agreement was officially registered in March 2025.

Bandra is one of Mumbai’s well-known neighbourhoods, noted for its mix of heritage buildings, modern infrastructure, and premium residential developments. It hosts a number of Bollywood celebrities, high-end shops, restaurants, and lifestyle destinations. The area also benefits from good connectivity through the Western Express Highway, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, and suburban railway lines, contributing to its popularity among homebuyers and businesses alike.

The shop is located in Gasper Enclave and has a built-up area of 119.88 sq. m. (approximately 1,290.57 sq. ft.), according to IGR property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The transaction involved a stamp duty of Rs. 2,67,000 and registration charges of Rs. 1,000. A security deposit of Rs. 60 lakh was also part of the rental agreement.

Square Yards’ analysis reveals that the current 60-month rental agreement for the shop includes a structured rent escalation. The rent starts at Rs. 16,89,000 per month for the first 36 months, increases to Rs. Rs. 17,73,450 for the next 24 months. The shop was originally purchased in April 2009 for Rs. 3.11 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards.

Sohail Khan is an Indian actor, producer, and director known for his work in Bollywood. He made his acting debut with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and later appeared in films like Fight Club, Hello Brother and Veer. As a filmmaker, he earned recognition for producing hit movies such as Partner and Jai Ho. Actor Rani Mukerji and filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s wedding in Italy has remained a well-kept secret, with no photos from the ceremony ever making their way to social media. However, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who designed Rani’s bridal outfit, has now shared some insights into the intimate celebration. He revealed that Rani gave him just a week’s deadline to create her wedding attire.

During a session for the YouTube channel Fashionably Pernia, Sabyasachi was asked about the most fun Bollywood wedding. The designer replied, “You know who was fun to work with? It was actually Rani Mukerji. She never released the photos. But, the fact is that it was a mad wedding which was done between her, Adi (Aditya Chopra), Karan (Johar), and me. She was very chilled out.”

Sabyasachi also shared how last-minute the entire wedding was, revealing that he had just one week to create the bridal lehenga. He said, “She came over for lunch one day and said that she is getting married. I asked her how much time I had and she said one week. I had to put something together in that much time. It’s fun when people enjoy their wedding. It just makes the process of designing for them so much more fun.”

After years of speculation and being spotted together, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra tied the knot on April 21, 2014, in an intimate ceremony in Italy. The couple has a daughter, Adira, who was born in 2015.

In a recent interview with Film Companion, Rani Mukerji gave a rare insight into her relationship with Aditya Chopra. She orevealed that they still enjoy watching movies together, saying, “For me the best time that Adi (Aditya Chopra) and me have is when we go to watch a movie together. That is something we continue doing every Friday at YRF (Yash Raj Films studio) in Mumbai. But when we are outside India, we go everywhere. It is lovely to hold hands and all. It’s quite nice… I think it is fun, just going and standing in the line, getting your ticket, getting your popcorn. Nowadays you get pizza also, which is great. So you get quite good food.
