SHOCKING: K Sera Sera chairman Satish Panchariya accused of repeated rape, global piracy, murder in an explosive FIR ordered by Ministry of Home Affairs

In a chilling revelation that has rocked India’s entertainment and corporate corridors, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the registration of an FIR against Satish Panchariya, Chairman of K Sera Sera Group, and Nikita Rattanshi, Director of Chhotu Maharaj Cinema. The FIR, registered at Amboli Police Station under the Ministry’s directive (Order No: F.No.15011/01/2025-SC/ST-W (S)), follows grave allegations of repeated sexual assault, criminal conspiracy, and extortion, with ramifications that extend far beyond personal misconduct.

The survivor, a foreign national and former director at the company, has accused Panchariya of raping and violently assaulting her multiple times over a span of two years. These alleged assaults, often disguised as professional meetings, reportedly occurred inside the company’s office.

One of the most harrowing incidents, as per the survivor, took place on December 3, 2024, when she claims she was physically overpowered, threatened with gang rape, and warned of an acid attack. Even more disturbing is her claim that the local police refused to register an FIR and instead tried to mediate a private settlement between her family and the accused inside the police station.

It was only after relentless complaints and national attention that the MHA stepped in, citing severe lapses by local law enforcement and invoking provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to order a comprehensive investigation. The allegations, however, do not end with sexual assault.

According to the FIR, Panchariya and Rattanshi are allegedly at the helm of a deeply entrenched criminal syndicate. They have been accused of pirating copyrighted Indian films and distributing them illegally in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. The report also points to a toxic “casting couch” culture, where aspiring actors were exploited under the guise of film opportunities, with some women allegedly trafficked to high-end producers.

The FIR further alleges that the accused have engaged in stock market manipulation, illicit transfers through shell companies—often using the names of junior staff like maids and peons to mask the transactions—and defrauded over Rs. 25 crores through fictitious investment vehicles.

The duo is also linked to a sprawling franchise scam involving the sale of over 500 disputed cinema units under the brand ‘Chottu Maharaj.’ Additionally, the accused are suspected of being involved in the murder of a Merchant Navy officer, currently under separate investigation. Lastly, as per the FIR, victims were allegedly recorded and later extorted using compromising material.

Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre explore Delhi’s infamous 1978 crime in Prosit Roy’s upcoming series

Actors Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre have started shooting for an upcoming web series directed by the amazingly acclaimed Paatal Lok director Prosit Roy in Delhi. The show is supposedly based on the infamous Ranga-Billa murder case, one of the most shocking and high-profile crimes in Delhi’s history, that shaped the capitals history and identity.

The case, which dates back to 1978, involved the abduction and murder of siblings Geeta and Sanjay Chopra. Kuljeet Singh (Ranga) and Jasbir Singh (Billa) had initially planned to steal a car but changed course upon discovering the children inside. The incident drew nationwide attention and led to significant public reaction, eventually contributing to changes in laws related to kidnapping and child safety.

The upcoming series aims to capture the details of the crime and its impact on the people of Delhi at the time and takes an investigative look into the case that followed the murders. The makers have not officially confirmed the storyline but sources suggest it closely follows these very real-life incidents.

A source close to the production shared, “The team has been researching the case in detail for months now. The show which has commenced shoot in the capital will focus on the events as they unfolded following the murder case. It’s being treated with sensitivity and aims to show how deeply the case affected Delhi. The shoot is currently on in various parts of the city.”

This marks one of the first times the Ranga-Billa case is being adapted for a scripted series, with Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre taking on lead roles.

Esha Verma breaks down in emotional video reflecting on public scrutiny after speaking up against stepmother Rupali Ganguly

Esha Verma, daughter of Ashwin Verma and stepdaughter of popular television actress Rupali Ganguly, shared an emotional video on social media following the ongoing public dispute between her and her father’s current wife. The post comes after a legal battle ensued between Esha and Ganguly, who recently filed a Rs. 50 crore defamation suit against her stepdaughter.

In her earlier accusations, Esha alleged that Rupali Ganguly was involved in an affair with her father Ashwin Verma during his marriage to her mother, Sapna Verma. One of Esha’s claims included that Rupali used the same bed in their Los Angeles home that was once shared by her parents before their separation. These allegations triggered widespread attention, prompting Ganguly to take legal action.

In the video posted to her Instagram account on Wednesday, Esha appears visibly distressed and on the verge of tears as she speaks about the emotional toll the controversy has taken on her. “How hard and traumatising something you go through publicly affects someone. Some days you can be okay, and some days you are a complete wreck,” she said. “You get scrutinised for wanting to speak up, and you also get questioned, ‘Where the fu*k did you go?’ When you have your own family, who wants to destroy you for just trying to live her life? I tried to be happy, but we don’t talk about these things.”

In the caption accompanying the video, Esha further elaborated on her struggles. “I was a nepo baby kept in the shadows. I grew up with silence, confusion and pain that wasn’t mine to carry. When the truth came out — expectedly and loudly — I was the one blamed. I was scared. I was unprotected. And instead of being supported, I was shamed. But after months of harassment, I am standing my ground.”

Ashwin Verma, a businessman, was first married to Sapna Verma in 1997. The couple separated in 2008. He later remarried twice before eventually tying the knot with Rupali Ganguly in 2013. Ganguly and Ashwin currently have a 11-year-old son. As the legal proceedings unfold, both parties remain in the public spotlight. Neither Rupali Ganguly nor Ashwin Verma has issued a new public statement following Esha’s recent post.

AR Rahman responds to Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s criticism over tech-based music

Music maestro AR Rahman has addressed recent criticism directed at him by playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who accused the composer of replacing traditional musicians with computer-based technology. In a candid interview with India Today, Rahman clarified his position and offered a glimpse into the extensive musical collaborations that continue to define his work.

Abhijeet had claimed that Rahman’s preference for digital tools has led to a significant reduction in opportunities for old-school musicians. In response, Rahman maintained that while he does use technology to streamline certain aspects of the music-making process, it has never been at the cost of genuine musicianship. “It’s nice to blame me for everything. I still love Abhijeet, and I would send cakes to him. Also, it’s his opinion, and there’s nothing wrong with having one,” Rahman said with characteristic calm.

He went on to detail his efforts to support musicians on a large scale. “I recently set up an orchestra with 60 women in Dubai. They are being employed every month and are being paid insurance, health, and everything. In every movie that I do, be it Chhaava or Ponniyin Selvan, there are close to 200-300 musicians involved, and some songs have more than 100 people working on them. I don’t show off or post photos with them, and thus no one gets to know about it.”

Rahman emphasized that live music remains central to his compositions, even as computers are used as part of the creative process. “The more you refine in music, the more you start to appreciate live music. Computers are used as a tool to design extraordinary harmonies and everything. We cannot afford to get musicians to play and reject them later. All the rejections need to be in the soft part, and all finals are always recorded live.”

Dismissing the notion that technology replaces talent, Rahman made it clear that his intent has always been to blend the best of both worlds while being cost-efficient. “One can go to any producers I have worked with to check on how many musicians we get,” he added.
