He captioned the post, “Thank u for the motivation,” subtly addressing the recent threats while emphasizing his commitment to personal growth.

Ranveer Singh commented, “Hard Hard”. Salman’s fans were thrilled to see his beefed-up body, with one writing, “The fitness icon is back.” Another commented, “Tiger form mei aa raha hai vapis”. Another comment read, “BhaiJaan will rise like never before – prepare YOURSELF.” One fan wrote, “Age has no limitation. You are a legend, sir.” While some fans speculated that he was preparing for his next movie, others felt it was a response to his critics following the debacle of his recent release, Sikandar.

Earlier that day, Khan received a threatening message from an individual claiming to be associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. The message, sent to the Mumbai Traffic Control Cell, demanded an apology or a payment of Rs 5 crore, warning that failure to comply would result in harm to the actor. This incident follows a series of similar threats, including one in October 2024, where a person from Jamshedpur was arrested for sending a WhatsApp message demanding Rs 5 crore from Khan.

In response to these threats, Mumbai Police have increased security measures around Khan’s residence and have initiated investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible. The actor has also been provided with Y-Plus category security, reflecting the seriousness of the threats.

Despite the challenges, Khan’s latest Instagram post serves as a testament to his resilience and unwavering focus on his fitness journey. His message resonates as a reminder to his followers to stay motivated and continue pursuing their goals, regardless of the obstacles they may face.

The makers of the much-awaited horror action-comedy The Bhootnii have officially announced a new release date for the film. Originally slated for an earlier launch, the Sanjay Dutt-led entertainer will now storm theatres on 1st May 2025.

The decision to reschedule comes in light of the film’s extensive VFX work, which promises to deliver a visual spectacle like no other. The team remains dedicated to offering a top-notch cinematic experience, pushing the envelope in horror and comedy with state-of-the-art effects and high-octane action.

The Bhootnii has already generated significant buzz, especially after the trailer received a thunderous response from audiences across platforms. With Sanjay Dutt headlining the cast, the film also features Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan in key roles.

Presented by Zee Studios, Soham Rockstar Entertainment, and Three Dimension Motion Pictures, The Bhootnii is a Soham Rockstar Entertainment production. Excel Entertainment’s upcoming action thriller Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi, is set to achieve a rare milestone as it becomes the first film in nearly four decades to have a red-carpet premiere in Srinagar, Kashmir. Scheduled for April 18, the premiere will take place ahead of the film’s nationwide release on April 25, 2025.

The decision to hold the premiere in Srinagar holds symbolic significance. The screening will be dedicated to the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) stationed in the region. The makers have expressed that showing the film first to those who serve on the frontlines is in line with the story’s patriotic themes.

Directed by Tejas Deoskar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Ground Zero stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role along with an ensemble cast. Inspired by true events, the actor portrays BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led the operation to eliminate Ghazi Baba — a senior commander of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The mission, which forms the core of the film, is regarded as one of the most notable BSF operations in the past 50 years.

Ground Zero has been shot entirely in Kashmir, offering a realistic depiction of the region’s terrain and military activity. The film also aims to shed light on a lesser-known but important chapter in recent Indian history — the operation targeting Ghazi Baba, who was reportedly involved in planning the Indian Parliament attack on December 13, 2001.

Endorsed by the BSF, the film’s trailer has already generated substantial attention, with viewers responding positively to the tone and subject. In the days following the trailer’s release, a series of posters have further built anticipation around the film’s release.

The red-carpet premiere in Srinagar is not just a promotional event but also a nod to the region where the story is set and was filmed. This marks a rare instance of a Bollywood production choosing to launch in Kashmir, breaking a 38-year hiatus since any film held its premiere there.

Co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C. Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy, Ground Zero releases in cinemas across India on April 25, 2025.

Salman Khan has received a fresh death threat. On Monday morning, a threatening message was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline’s WhatsApp number, warning of an attack on the actor, including plans to enter his home and blow up his car with a bomb.

The Mumbai Police have filed a complaint and are investigating the threat. This marks the fifth death threat to Salman in the past two years. Last year, shooters from the Bishnoi gang fired at his house, leading to an increase in his security.

In the past two years, Salman Khan and his family, including his father Salim Khan, have faced multiple death threats. Last year, Mumbai Police uncovered a plot to assassinate the actor at his Panvel farmhouse, where shooters linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang were reportedly stalking him. Bishnoi, who has openly expressed hatred towards Salman due to a blackbuck poaching case from the 90s, has demanded the actor apologize in Rajasthan for
“killing a blackbuck” or face death. However, the court has dismissed the poaching charges against Salman.

Salman Khan was recently seen in AR Murugadoss’s Sikandar, which released on Eid. Despite the festive release, the film didn’t make a strong start. Sikandar has earned just over Rs. 175.23 crore globally, with Rs.102.65 crore from India, but its box office momentum is slowing.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s ongoing USA tour faced unexpected controversy after a blind item surfaced on Reddit, alleging that the tour was a scam and that the actor making appearances was an impostor. The post, shared under the guise of anonymity, quickly gained traction on social media, sparking confusion and backlash from fans and eventgoers.

However, the claims were soon countered by attendees who had been present at the event. Multiple users took to social media to share photos and videos of Hrithik Roshan interacting with fans, participating in meet and greets, and performing on stage, debunking the viral misinformation. The images clearly showed the actor at various venues, disproving the theory of an impostor.

Reddit has since flagged the original post as “exaggerated” and “unverified,” and subsequently banned it for violating the platform’s policy on spreading misinformation. Despite the damage caused by the viral claim, event organisers have strongly condemned the rumors and reiterated their commitment to delivering a well-executed and legitimate tour.

Chloe E. Jones of 3sixty Shows, the official organiser behind the event, issued a statement addressing the controversy, “These claims are baseless and done with a malicious intent under the disguise of anonymous accounts. We have real people testimony all across social media to back our claims, Hrithik has fulfilled all his obligations across the 5 cities we have visited so far. In each location we have done anywhere between 150 to 200 pictures & meet and greets with Hrithik, who has been gracious to oblige all fans. The audience turnout and feedback has been exceptional, this is the first Rangotsav that witnessed a strength of close to 50K across ticket sales, vendors and sponsors.”

The US tour, part of the Rangotsav 2025 celebrations, has so far included stops in five cities, with thousands of fans turning out to attend. Despite the online uproar, ground-level feedback has been largely positive, with attendees praising the experience and the chance to meet one of Bollywood’s biggest stars.

Arjun Kapoor opened up like never before in an interview he gave to the YouTube channel, Chalchitra Talks. He talked about his favourite Bollywood and Hollywood films in detail and he also opened up on his favourite series. He couldn’t stop raving about the recently-released Netflix show, Black Warrant.

Arjun began by saying, “I loved Black Warrant. I called each and every actor of the show. Rahul Bhat didn’t pick up my call. But he did reply to my message! I asked him, ‘Can I call you’. He replied, ‘For what?’ (laughs). I decided that inko message kar deta hoon. I told him, ‘I loved your work a lot’. I loved his silence. I loved how his body language. So, I messaged him about it. He replied, ‘Ok, thanks’! Main samaj gaya ki theek hai, interesting aadmi hai. Kabhi kaam karunga unke saath toh baat karunga. He was also very good in Ugly (2014).”

He also talked highly of Zahan Kapoor and Sidhant Gupta, “I spoke to Zahan. I have known him since before but I have a new respect for him now. The way he has caught hold of the dialect (is praiseworthy). I messaged Sidhant as well. It was fascinating to see an Indian playing the part of Charles Sobhraj, that too, with an accent.”

Arjun further talked about Rahul Bhat, “The makers have shot him very nicely, with tight close-ups. You can see the irritation and frustration as he manages to run the jail. Between the gangsters and policemen, he’s trying to play the mediator.”

Black Warrant also stars Paramvir Singh Cheema and in a recent interview to Mid-Day, he confirmed getting feedback from Arjun Kapoor. He said, “I got a message that read, ‘Hi, this is Arjun Kapoor.’ I thought it was fake. But then, it really was Arjun. A lot of directors messaged me to appreciate my work. I was not expecting this to happen.”

While talking about it, he happened to say that blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay has started following him on Instagram. As expected, Arjun was on cloud nine.

He smiled and said, “I’ve been following him for years. Today, he started following me!”

He explained why he loves his cinema, “I have always been a lover of commercial films. I appreciate all kinds of films but commercial cinema (has a special place in my heart). I have grown up watching such films in cinemas while munching on popcorn. Michael Bay has been a reference point for it, especially his low-angle shots in films like Bad Boys (1995) and Armageddon (1998). Armageddon is a stupid film. Even Ben Affleck said once that why was he training those who drill to become astronauts. Why not the other way round?”

Arjun continued, “I truly enjoy Michael Bay cinema, especially the scale in his films. The way he shot the first Transformers (2007) was brilliant. Bad Boys and Bad Boys II (2003) were outstanding. One of his best films was The Rock (1996), especially to get Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris together. Ed Harris is the villain and his backstory is quite kadak. There are shades of it in Pathaan (2023) – an army officer wronged by his own people, decides to do what he feels is right to take revenge for what happened to him and his loved ones.” In Pathaan, the antagonist was played by John Abraham. It also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Arjun Kapoor added, “Hence, Michael Bay is a fantastic filmmaker. I am very happy that he’s following him.”

One of the Malayalam cinema’s megastar Mammootty’s most magnificent performances, and a rare foray into Hindi cinema was the film Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in 2000. The film was directed by Jabbar Patel, the avant-garde director of such seminal neo-classics in Marathi as Samna, Simhasan, Umbartha and Jait Re Jait.

Speaking to this writer on the honour of playing Dr Ambedkar, Mammootty in an interview conducted in the year 2000, Mammootty said, “That was in English and dubbed into Hindi. But yes, we can call it my fourth Hindi film. You think I did a good job of playing Dr Ambedkar without imitating him? How could I imitate him when I never met him? I had only heard of him. I would say this was an entirely imaginary interpretation of the great man. I could only portray him the way I thought he should be.”

The actor added, “There were lots of restrictions in playing Dr Ambedkar. Since he was a much-revered real life character, I had to play him correctly. But to play the character in Shafaq (which was later titled Sau Jhoot Ek Sach), I can really let myself go. I have no borders, no limitations in interpreting the character. I can do this as I like it.”

This ambitious biopic didn’t do well. But Mammootty was undeterred. “It’s all part of the game,” he said. “My job as an actor is over on the last day of shooting. I can’t interfere in other people’s jobs when they take over a film. But yes, the film took a lot of my time effort and energy. I should even say my money. I let go of so many projects because of this film.”

The veteran actor added, “But I suppose it was worthwhile. It’s because of Dr. Ambedkar that a person like you is talking to me. The fact that I could touch the hearts of so many people who worship Dr. Ambedkar and that I could break the ice with the Hindi film industry, is compensation enough. I’ve my own way of looking at my projects. They may or may not click. But I’ve no regrets. And let’s not forget Dr. Ambedkar fetched me my third National award.”

Arjun Kapoor opened up like never before in an interview he gave to the YouTube channel, Chalchitra Talks. While talking about his favourite films, he spoke about Mr India (1987), produced by his father Boney Kapoor and starring his uncle Anil Kapoor. He ended up sharing fascinating trivia that wasn’t known for 38 years.

Arjun revealed, “The making of Mr India is worth talking about. They shot for nearly 350 days. They cut off nearly an hour of footage (from the final version). They had shot a sequence in a massage parlour. Mr India runs and hides in a massage parlour. He then ends up massaging somebody. You can see the skin moving (laughs). He picks up the cucumber and eats it. So, you see the cucumber flying in the air (since Mr India was invisible).”

Arjun marvelled at the special effects in the film, which was done in the pre-VFX era, “I don’t know what they did and how they did it. Yet, it looks so clean. I guess, there was patience then to make the best film. That allowed themselves to do some R&D and trial-and-error. It was a very expensive film. My father told me that they had booked 3 floors of RK Studios for Mogambo’s den.”

Growing up, Mr India was Arjun’s favourite film, “Maine Mr India VHS pe dekh ke, dekh ke VHS Player kharab kar diya! I would not eat food without watching that film. I used to feel Anil chachu was Mr India aur woh ghoom ho jaate hai!”

But the scene where the child dies in an explosion is something that Arjun doesn’t have the heart to see. He confessed, “I can’t see that scene. I always fast-forward it. Main aaj bhi nahin dekh paata. I remember that film by heart but the moment the merry-go-round scene comes, main aage badh jaata hoon!”

He remarked, “The film is about the politics of that era. It is one of the nuanced films that speaks about external powers influencing India. The poor and hungry people of the country were being suppressed by the politics and the introduction of Western civilization. Mogambo represents a bigger, cultural phenomenon which was growing, as the world was taking interest in India and trying to create an influence in its politics.”
