Ahead of the release of Karate Kid: Legends on May 30, Sony Pictures Entertainment India has dropped a teaser from a fun conversation between Jackie Chan and Ajay Devgn, possibly making it the biggest collab this year for movie promotions.

In the light-hearted clip, Jackie Chan, who returns as Mr. Han, tells Ajay Devgn, “You fight, I dance,” expressing his interest in doing another Bollywood film, this time with dancing instead of action. Devgn, who voices Mr. Han in the Hindi dub of the film, shares a fun camaraderie with Chan in the teaser.

Adding a special touch to the Hindi version, Ajay’s son Yug Devgan has voiced the character of Li Fong, originally played by Ben Wang. The full interview will be released tomorrow.

Shashank Khaitan, who is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, is also set to soon make his OTT debut with Single Papa. The show was in the news earlier this year with Kunal Khemu being roped in. Following the news of Kunal being part of the series, now, as per sources, Neha Dhupia has been roped in for the series to play a pivotal role.

The shoot of the series is currently underway. A source close to the production revealed, “Neha Dhupia has joined to play one of the key leading parts in the show. The show is titled Single Papa, the shoot is currently in its final phase. This is Shashank’s first ever OTT project and is said to be slice of life family entertainer.” The slice-of-life family entertainer is expected to arrive on Netflix.

Earlier this year, Pinkvilla reported that Shashank Khaitan and Kunal Kemmu are collaborating on a Netflix show. The report quoted a source saying, “It’s a subject on the lines of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and Shashank is passionately developing it for the cinematic medium. It will be a home production for the filmmaker.” Having said that, it is worth mentioning that the makers and the director are yet to make an official announcement of the same.

The ongoing controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3 has taken a fresh turn with veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s legal team addressing claims against him. In a conversation with Times of India, Rawal’s lawyer clarified that the actor was never presented with a script or any substantial content from the team working under Akshay Kumar’s production banner.

Rawal’s legal team has also questioned the grounds on which the production house is claiming losses when, according to them, no material—script or agreement—was in place in the first place. According to recent reports, a legal notice has been sent to Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal by none other than the original producer – Firoz Nadiadwala. The notice reportedly prohibits all four from participating in any promos, endorsements, or activities related to the Hera Pheri franchise. It further claimed that proceeding with such activities will be considered a wilful breach, asserting that the intellectual property (IP) rights to all characters, including Babu Bhaiya, lie with Nadiadwala.

Sources close to the actor also revealed that Akshay Kumar had assured Rawal, saying, “Don’t worry, trust me. You’ll see it later in the longform agreement.” Based on this assurance and his longstanding rapport with Kumar, Paresh Rawal is expected to have signed the term sheet in good faith. The promo for Hera Pheri 3 was eventually shot on a modified version of the Bhooth Bangla set. However, it was initially intended for a 2026 start, and Rawal had suggested postponing the promo shoot to the following year. As of now, the actor has not received any long-term agreement, script, or formal production information, sources added.

Reports also suggested that the actor has a deep-rooted connection with the beloved character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, popularly known as Babu Bhaiya, and hence, sought clarity before proceeding further with the project.

The actor’s legal team told Times of India, “Admittedly, they did not deliver the story, screenplay and also a draft of a long form agreement which was fundamental to the engagement of our client. In the absence of these and also since Mr. Nadiadwala, the producer of the original films, issued notice to our client and raised issues on the making of the film, our client chose to exit and returned the money with interest by terminating the Term sheet.”

With mounting legal tensions and blame games, the fate of Hera Pheri 3 remains uncertain.

Actor and IPL franchise co-owner Preity Zinta has contributed Rs 1.10 crore to the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) of the Indian Army’s South Western Command. Her heartfelt gesture comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor, launched by India following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.

Zinta confirmed her association with the South Western Command as she attended an event organized by them, where she also addressed the families of Indian Army personnel. Sharing her emotional experience on Instagram, she wrote, “As I drove towards the auditorium in the South Western Command of the Indian Army, I saw posters of army officers and jawans at regular intervals, that won various bravery awards. Some laid down their lives for our country while others came back with scars from the battlefield. These men were husbands, sons, brothers & fathers. They are part of our armed forces and they gave up their today for our tomorrow!”

“We will never know them. Most of us will never hear of them, think of them or miss them. We might mention their sacrifice in a conversation & admire their bravery for a moment before we get on with our lives. This sad reality hit hard as I struggled to bring a smile on my face when I reached the event for Army Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA),” she added.

Zinta went on to describe her experience meeting the families of martyrs and shared, “At the event I met the women that would miss these men everyday & every moment of their lives. I met their kids and I saw their smiles. There were no complaints & no tears! Just pride, strength & sacrifice. There was so much bravery in that auditorium it humbled me beyond words. It was truly my honour to share the stage with these Veer Naris & their families????”

Explaining the intent behind her contribution, she stated, “I went with a small contribution to say thank you for your service & for your sacrifice. I wanted them to know they are not forgotten & we are indebted to them forever. After the event I left with a smile on my face & with so much gratitude in my heart. I know our country is in safe hands as long as Hero’s like these guard our borders. According to reports, the funds have been donated from Zinta’s share of Punjab Kings’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund and will be directed toward empowering Veer Naris (war widows) and supporting the education of their children.

Preity Zinta has received widespread appreciation online for his gesture with many lauding her for using her platform and resources to support the families of India’s armed forces.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has opened up about the ongoing legal tussle with Cape of Good Films following his sudden exit from Hera Pheri 3 on social media. The response comes in the wake of escalating legal tensions between Rawal and the production team, which includes actor-producer Akshay Kumar. The fallout has caused significant buzz, especially considering Rawal’s iconic role as Babu Bhaiya in the much-loved Hera Pheri franchise.

Earlier, addressing the ongoing controversy, a source informed Bollywood Hungama that Rawal has not only exited the project but also returned the signing amount with additional interest. “Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series,” the source revealed. “Paresh Rawal was paid Rs. 11 lakhs as a signing amount as per the term sheet. His total fees were locked at Rs. 15 crores. The term sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal would receive the balance amount – Rs. 14.89 crores – only one month after the release of the film.”

The source further added that the senior actor had concerns about this clause. “The film’s principal shoot was to commence sometime next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 was unlikely to be released before late 2026 or in the year 2027. In short, Paresh would have had to wait for nearly two years to get the rest of his acting fees.”

The controversy erupted after the initial process for the film were reportedly completed with Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty. Rawal’s abrupt departure shocked fans and left the production in limbo. Filmmaker Priyadarshan and co-star Suniel Shetty publicly expressed their disappointment over the exit.

As legal documents are exchanged and public statements continue to emerge, Paresh Rawal’s recent tweet suggests that he is standing firm on his decision and believes the matter will soon be resolved with clarity. While reports suggest that the team behind Hera Pheri 3 has been deciding to recast Pankaj Tripathi, some fans are hoping that they would find a resolution with Rawal and retain him.

Bollywood’s much-awaited war-drama Ikkis now has a release date! Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films has officially announced that the film will hit cinemas on Thursday, October 2, 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday known for strong box office openings.

Helmed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis marks the acclaimed director’s return after the success of Badlapur under the Maddock banner. The film brings together a powerhouse ensemble — veteran legend Dharmendra, rising star Agastya Nanda (grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan), and the critically acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat.

Ikkis is based on the extraordinary real-life story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a Param Vir Chakra (PVC) awardee who displayed unmatched courage and made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. A few days ago, Bollywood Hungama broke the news that Housefull 5’s trailer will be released on Tuesday, May 27. And now, we bring up another interesting aspect of the multi-starrer killer-comedy – the possible identity of the killer.

If sources are to be believed, then it’s none other than Nana Patekar who plays the murderer. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Nana Patekar has been introduced separately compared to the rest of the 18 actors in the teaser of Housefull 5. That was itself a hint that he’s probably the killer and that he’s the one who creates chaos in the ship.”

The source continued, “Nana Patekar is a seasoned actor and as a murderer, there’s no doubt that he would have done absolute justice. It now remains to be seen how it plays out in the film.”

Housefull 5 stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer and Akashdeep Sabir. On May 22, Bollywood Hungama, while announcing the trailer launch, carried a quote from a source, who said, “The makers want to take the promotions to the next level 10 days before the release. As part of this strategy, they will unveil the trailer on Tuesday, May 27. A launch event is also being planned and all the leading 19 actors of the film are expected to be a part of it.”

The source explained, “All the assets until now have added to the buzz. The teaser of the film gave an idea to the aam junta that Housefull 5 is a multi-starrer film set on a cruise and things go awry after a murder takes place in the middle of the sea. The two songs, ‘Laal Pari’ and ‘Dil E Nadaan’, further indicated to the audience the scale and entertainment value. Now, the trailer will bring out the biggest USP of the film – the humour quotient.”

Today, the song ‘Qayamat’ was launched and it has further added to the excitement for Housefull 5.
