At an event in Mumbai, actor Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan launched the Hindi trailer of Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s Karate Kid: Legends. This marks their first collaboration on an international project. Ajay Devgn has voiced the character of Mr. Han (played by Jackie Chan), while Yug makes his voice acting debut as Li Fong (Ben Wang).

This marks Ajay Devgn’s first-ever voiceover for an international film in his illustrious career, while Yug brings a fresh and youthful spirit to a globally beloved franchise.

Their real-life bond enhances the film’s central theme of the mentor-protégé relationship. Yug’s enthusiasm for the franchise, along with his natural charisma and strong voice, makes him a great fit to continue the Karate Kid legacy for a new generation of Indian viewers.

Set in New York City, Karate Kid: Legends follows kung fu prodigy Li Fong as he adjusts to life in a new school, forges unexpected bonds, and is drawn into an intense showdown with a local karate champion. Ajay Devgn introduced his son Yug Devgan at the trailer launch of the Hindi version of Karate Kid: Legends. While Ajay Devgn has lent his voice for the iconic Mr Han (Jackie Chan), whereas Yug debuts as the voice of Li Fong (Ben Wang). The USP of the event was the fun banter between the father and the son. What also stole the show were Ajay Devgn’s comments on Operation Sindoor, undertaken by India after the shocking Pahalgam attack of April 22. The manner in which the government and the armed forces hit the terrorist sites in Pakistan has been hailed by Indians.

Ajay Devgn is no exception, and he said, “Nobody wants war but when there’s no choice left, then I think there’s no choice left. I salute to all the armed forces, the Prime Minister, the government. They had to do what they did. And they did great! I’d like to thank them very, very much.” Ajay concluded his comments by loudly stating “Jai Hind!”

About his son Yug Devgan’s work in the film, Ajay Devgn said, “I feel very proud. When he started dubbing, I was told that he would have to start his rehearsals first. On the first day of his rehearsal, I got a call informing that he did so well that they are going to incorporate some of his takes in the final cut! He took permission from the technician to call me. They agreed and he made me hear what he had dubbed by putting the phone on speaker. That felt so nice!”

Dinker Sharma, Sonia Rathee, Siddhi Idnani, Jay Thakkar, Tusshar Kapoor, Varun Pande, Dhiren Tiwari, Abishek Kumar, producer Jayesh Patel and others attended the launch of the trailer of the upcoming horror comedy, Kapkapii, at a multiplex in Mumbai. The team of the film claimed that a lot of scary and unexplained developments occurred during and after the filming of the film.

Producer Jayesh Patel said, “After completing the movie, we held a private screening in Future Studios. There’s a scene where the characters call Anamika. As soon as that scene began, studio waalon ke projector ka bulb udd gaya! They claimed that something like this happened for the first time in the history of that place.”

Jayesh Patel continued, “Then I kept a screening for Zee Studios at Sunny Super Sound. Again, during the same scene, something eerier happened. That scene appears at around 25 minutes. During that scene, the sound went off while we could only see the visuals on screen. The projectionist told me, ‘I have been doing this job for 25 years. This is the first time I have experienced something like this’!”

At this point, Dhirendra Tiwari commented, “Also, after the shoot got done, Shreyas Talpade had a heart attack.” The veteran actor suffered a heart attack in December 2023. The actor was absent at the trailer launch.

Tusshar Kapoor said, “A lot of incidents happened before I came for the shoot. Someone or the other fell sick. Hence, I went on the set with a lot of precautions. I carried a steam inhaler, masks, jacket etc. Thankfully, nothing happened to me. But you’ll have to watch the film to find out why nothing happened to me in the first place!” As soon as Tusshar completed his answer, the lights went off in the auditorium, possibly to give the impression that there was a supernatural presence at the venue.

Sangeeth Sivan remembered

Kapkapii is directed by Sangeeth Sivan, who passed away on May 8, 2024. Every member of the film remembered him fondly; Siddhi Idnani had tears in her eyes while talking about the filmmaker. Sangeeth Sivan’s wife Jayashree was present at the launch, and she was honoured by the cast and crew.

The Aditya Chopra curated YRF Spy Universe has established itself as the biggest franchise of Indian Cinema. It started with Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan in 2012, followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023). While War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. and Alpha starring Alia Bhatt are all set to release in 2025, Bollywood Hungama has an exclusive scoop. According to very reliable inside sources, Aditya Chopra is redesigning the YRF Spy Universe post the India-Pakistan border tensions.

“A common link in the Tiger franchise and Pathaan is the strong connection of RAW with ISI, as the lead protagonists work together with ISI agents for the larger good. While the conflict sounds great on paper, the present scenario between India and Pakistan has forced Adi to relook at the scripts. The inclusion of Zoya (Katrina Kaif) and Rubai (Deepika Padukone) will reduce in the future timelines of the universe,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama. Adi Chopra had locked the basic plot of Pathaan 2, but the same has now entered a rewriting stage.

The trade source further added that the portions treating Pakistan as a friend in War 2 and Alpha, too, are likely to be redubbed and re-edited. “Given the current geopolitical climate, the future of the YRF Spy Universe will depict cross-border dynamics with greater realism and caution. The present geopolitical scenario will reflect in a big way in the future timeline of YRF Spy Universe. The character arcs of Tiger (Salman Khan) and Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) will also change their thoughts on the neighbouring nation. Adi is very much in sync with the national sentiments, and has asked his writer, Sridhar Raghavan, to rewrite multiple conflict points,” the source told us further.

Another source, under anonymity, shared, “Aditya sir believes fiction must echo reality to resonate. The recent turn of events has triggered a creative introspection across all YRF spy scripts. This isn’t just cosmetic editing – it’s a strategic reset to align with national sentiment. Every character arc, alliance, and conflict point is being reassessed to reflect the current national mood while still upholding the scale, spectacle, and emotional core that define the franchise.”

There is also a buzz at the YRF corridors of the writers incorporating the present scenario in the upcoming films of the universe, but it is too early at the moment, as the writing process takes a long time. “The functioning of RAW played a major role in Operation Sindoor, and the same will be subtly incorporated as sub-plots in the future timeline of YRF Spy Universe,” the source shared.

War 2 is confirmed for an Independence Day 2025 release.

After nearly three decades, one of Bollywood’s most iconic on-screen duos—Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor—are all set to reunite in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action thriller King, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. The film is slated to begin shooting on May 20, 2025, and the ensemble keeps getting bigger.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Jackie Shroff has officially joined the cast. “Siddharth Anand narrated the basic world of King to Jackie Shroff along with his character arc, and the actor took no time to come on board the film,” the reported quoted a source. “Jackie is all excited to embark on this action-packed journey with Shah Rukh Khan and the team. He feels that Shah Rukh Khan is the most accomplished and large-hearted producer in Indian cinema.”

Jackie’s casting not only adds to the film’s gravitas but also reunites him with Anil Kapoor—his Ram Lakhan co-star—on the big screen. Anil Kapoor will reportedly play Shah Rukh Khan’s handler in the film, while Jackie Shroff’s character details are currently under wraps. However, insiders claim he will be presented in a unique and unexpected light.

King is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in recent years, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma. Shah Rukh Khan is set to play an assassin who embarks on a mission with his on-screen daughter, played by Suhana Khan, to take down the antagonist portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan.

Backed by Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan, King will feature action choreography by internationally renowned directors. The film is targeting a theatrical release in the last quarter of 2026.

As per sources, the intimate wedding ceremony will be low-key, and it will be attended by Shazahn and Ashish’s family and close friends. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a sangeet ceremony and an after-party on June 7 at the same hotel.

Shazahn Padamsee, daughter of Sharon Prabhakar and the late Alyque Padamsee, got engaged to Ashish in November last year. The heartwarming engagement ceremony was followed by a roka ceremony in traditional Gujarati style on January 20. Speaking about how Shazahn met Ashish, the actress had earlier stated that it was her childhood friend that connected them together, and the soon-to-be-married duo felt an instant attraction. A couple of months later, the two met for dinner and began dating soon after that.
