Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is all set to release this Friday, May 9. The makers completed the censor process on time, and there’s good news for the viewers on this front.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film on April 29. Thankfully, the Examining Committee (EC) hasn’t asked for a single cut. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Even though Bhool Chuk Maaf doesn’t have any objectionable dialogue or scene, one can’t be sure when and where the CBFC might ask for a cut. Recently, we saw that with Raid 2 where ‘Railway mantri’ was replaced with ‘Bada mantri’. In Thunderbolts, the word ‘prick’ was muted.”

The source continued, “But with Bhool Chuk Maaf, the EC didn’t feel the need to delete, modify or replace a single shot or word from the film. It was given a clean U/A 13+ certificate.” The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 121 minutes. In other words, Bhool Chuk Maaf has a run time of 2 hours and 1 minute.

This new rating, where the age is mentioned, was introduced in November 2024. U/A 7+ and U/A 16+ ratings have also been implemented. In the recent past, films like Raid 2, Sikandar, The Diplomat, Crazxy, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Sky Force etc. were awarded with a U/A 13+ rating, just like Bhool Chuk Maaf.

We were the first ones to inform that its teaser will be attached with Chhaava and that it would clash with Sunny Deol-starrer Jaat on April 10. Later, we also informed viewers that the film has been pushed to May 9. Yesterday, we reported that the teaser of Param Sundari, Maddock’s next after Bhool Chuk Maaf, has been attached with the prints.

Ajay Devgn, one of Bollywood’s most bankable stars, has taken a strategic step in real estate by leasing out a commercial office unit in Mumbai’s bustling Andheri West. According to documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra government’s IGR (Inspector General of Registration) portal, the actor has rented the office space for a five-year period, set to earn approximately Rs. 3.3 crore over the duration of the lease.

The rented property is located in Signature by Lotus, a commercial building in Andheri West, a locality known for its excellent connectivity to business hubs such as BKC, SEEPZ, and Lower Parel. The 2,545 sq. ft. office has been leased to Bombay Design Centre Private Limited, with the rental agreement officially registered in May 2025. As per the deal structure, the monthly rent is set at Rs. 5.47 lakh for the first three years, rising to Rs. 6.29 lakh for the remaining two years. The agreement also includes a security deposit of Rs. 16.42 lakh. Stamp duty and registration charges amounted to Rs. 85,500 and Rs. 1,000 respectively.

Devgn had purchased three adjacent office units in the same building in April 2023, each measuring approximately 2,545 sq. ft., for a combined value of Rs. 30.35 crore—translating to roughly Rs. 10.12 crore per unit. The current rental agreement pertains to one of these units. Based on Square Yards’ analysis, the estimated rental yield on this unit stands at 6.5% for the initial three years, increasing to about 7.5% over the last two.

While Ajay Devgn is celebrated for his intense screen presence in films like Singham, Drishyam, and Tanhaji, he also continues to build a solid off-screen portfolio. With two National Awards and the Padma Shri to his name, Devgn remains a powerhouse in both cinema and business. His recent film Raid 2 has hit the screens, while Son of Sardaar 2 is currently under development.

After traveling across major film festivals in Australia, North America, Canada, and India, Hari Ka Om, the emotional father-son drama starring Anshuman Jha, Soni Razdan, and Raghubir Yadav, is now set for its European premiere. The film has been selected as the centrepiece gala screening at the UK Asian Film Festival 2025. The screening will take place on May 7 at London’s iconic Regent Street Cinema.

Directed by Harish Vyas, known for Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain and Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, the film marks his third collaboration with Anshuman Jha. The cast also includes Ayesha Kapur, and the film explores the emotional complexities within Indian families, focusing on generational divides and the consequences of emotional miscommunication.

Speaking about the film, Anshuman Jha shared, “HARI KA OM is the father-son film we need today, small town India set, deals with issues which occur in nearly every home. It dwells on the fact that without emotional regulation – mistakes can be made by the young & the old. It’s a quintessential generational divide film and I look forward to being in the UK for the screening & the Q/A.”

Jha’s performance in Hari Ka Om follows his well-received roles in Hum Bhi Akele (2021), where he played a homosexual man, and the 2023 vigilante drama Lakadbaggha. In this film, he takes on the character of a middle-class boy from Bhopal, adding yet another contrasting role to his filmography.

Director Harish Vyas spoke about his lead actor and their long-standing collaboration: “Anshuman is a very simple person but also has a razor-sharp film brain. In addition to being a fabulous actor of this generation, he understands all aspects of cinema like very few people I have met. Their chemistry (Raghubir Yadav & Anshuman) is a delight in this film. We are thrilled to be premiering in the UK at such a prestigious platform.”

Adding to his slate this year, Anshuman Jha’s directorial debut Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is also scheduled to release in the coming months. Hari Ka Om is expected to release globally in July 2025.

In a press note shared by the makers, Boman Irani expressed that he chose to be part of the film after being deeply moved by the concept of Tanvi The Great. He said, “The very concept of Tanvi The Great moved me to tears. I had decided to be part of the film in any form. The form came in the shape of the innocence of Raza Saab. Unknown Musical genius! I am proud to be part of this timely film, apart from the fact that my friend Anupam would have it no other way.”

Tanvi The Great is also set to have its world premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, within the Marche du Film. Directed by Anupam Kher, the film features music composed by Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani. It is produced by Anupam Kher Studios and NFDC, in association with Lower Middle Class Corporation. The release date for the movie will be announced soon. The film stars debutant Shubhangi Dutt in the lead role.

After the highly successful Chhaava, Maddock Films is back with yet another promising film, Bhool Chuk Maaf. It is all set to release this week, and the expectations are there thanks to the novel concept, light-hearted theme, casting and of course, the association of Dinesh Vijan in the capacity of a producer. As it happens with movies of Maddock, moviegoers venturing out to watch Bhool Chuk Maaf will be greeted with assets of their upcoming films.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, “The buzz in the trade is that two teasers are attached with the teasers of Bhool Chuk Maaf. One is that of Param Sundari. It is Dinesh Vijan’s immediate release after the Rajkummar Rao-Wamiqa Gabbi starrer, and releases on July 25. Until now, only official stills of the film have been put out by the makers. This is the first time that moviegoers will get to see a promo of the movie.” The romcom stars Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor and is directed by Tushar Jalota of Dasvi (2022) fame.

The source continued, “A teaser of Thama is also attached with Bhool Chuk Maaf’s print as per the exhibition sector. Most probably, it is the same first look teaser that was launched in October 2024.” The horror comedy stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and it is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya (2024) fame. It will arrive in cinemas on Diwali 2025.

The source also revealed, “Since last year, Maddock has been following a tradition of releasing promos of their films in cinemas first and on digital platforms several days later. There are high chances that Param Sundari’s teaser will also be exclusive for cinemas for a certain number of days before its digital release.”

Maddock adopted this strategy for the first time with the teaser of Stree 2. It was attached to Munjya, that too, in its second week. During Stree 2, the explosive teaser of Chhaava was attached. During Chhaava, viewers got a chance to see the fun-filled promo of Bhool Chuk Maaf on the big screen first.
