After creating critically acclaimed films like 83 and Chandu Champion, Kabir Khan is returning to the commercial cinema space with his next feature film for the big screen. According to sources close to the development, Kabir Khan has signed on with Karan Johar’s banner, Dharma Productions for an action-packed thriller, which is presently in the pre-production stage. 

A source tells us that Kabir Khan is looking to return to deliver a blockbuster again, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. “Kabir Khan is developing a commercial action film in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. The casting of Kabir Khan’s next warrants the presence of a macho superstar and the director is looking at either Salman Khan or Vicky Kaushal for the part.”

A little birdie also informs us that Kabir and Karan have already initiated conversations with both heroes to figure out the dates. “Salman Khan and Vicky Kaushal are both showing interest but waiting to hear the final draft,” the source told Bollywood Hungama further.

The Kabir Khan film is expected to go on floors at the end of 2025 and the makers are confident to get either Salman or Vicky on board the action thriller.

The excitement for Salman Khan starrer Sikandar is quite palpable as the teaser for the film is expected to be released on the superstar’s birthday on December 27. As the prep for the same has started in full swing, we hear that the makers are planning a massive entry sequence of Khan in the teaser as it will be a treat for his fans who are eagerly anticipating the release of this massive entertainer. While it already has many reasons to look forward to, the teaser too is expected to add to the momentum surrounding this massy movie.

It has been reported that a special set is being erected in Filmistan, Andheri where an extensive sequence for the teaser will be shot. The reason this has been created is for a masked sequence which will also be an introductory scene of Salman Khan in the upcoming teaser. Sources were reportedly quoted in a Mid-Day report, wherein it was said, “They have a standing set in Filmistan, where stuntmen will shoot an action set-piece over the next two days. Earlier this week, Salman canned his portions for the teaser. His character is introduced in a hyper-stylised way, as he, wearing a mask, enters the frame and the camera focuses on his eyes. Five other masked men join him in the frame. The sequence is being edited, and the team will fine-tune the teaser this week.”

The source also went on to add, “This is one of the biggest films Salman has worked on in recent years. The team is pulling out all stops to ensure the teaser lives up to the excitement.”

Interestingly, the film marks the first collaboration between Salman Khan and AR Murugadoss. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie will also feature an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, along with Kajal Aggarwal and Prateik Patil Babbar in key roles. The action entertainer is expected to release in Eid 2025.

For the unversed, the first film featured Tabu as the third person who plays the role of Ajay Devgn’s first wife and the mother of two of his kids in the romantic comedy that explores modern-day relationship dynamics. Meanwhile, we hear that R Madhavan will be playing the suave and stylish father of Ayesha Mehra. Although there has been no confirmation on the same.

The couple welcomed a baby boy on December 18 and decided to share their happiness along with their social media fam with a heartfelt announcement. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who married her trainer Shanwaz a few years ago, dropped a sweet video announcing the arrival of her baby boy. The beautiful clip features a decorated baby room in hues of light blue with a little boy sitting as he is surrounded by toys and a baby cot-crib. “Hello world! Our little angel BOY is here”, Devoleena captioned in the post where she also added a heart and nazar amulet emoji showcasing her excitement. Yesterday, Sajid Nadiadwala gave an interesting update about his film with Vishal Bhardwaj, which became a major talking point. Their next film, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, will go on floors on January 6, 2025, and will release on December 5 the next year. The announcement also revealed that the film also stars Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda.

Bollywood Hungama has now learned of another aspect of the film. A source told us, “The first schedule of the film will take place in Ballard Pier in South Mumbai. The makers have constructed a huge set for the film where some major key scenes will be shot. The team of the film plans to shoot here for around 20-25 days. All the main actors of the film will be a part of this schedule.”

The source continued, “Mustafa Stationwala, who created the sets of Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), Hindi Medium (2017), Airlift (2016), etc. is the production designer on this film. Sajid Nadiadwala has gone all out, like always, in ensuring that the set is grand but at the same time, authentic to the storyline. He and director Vishal Bhardwaj have also meticulously worked on the scheduling of the film. The idea is to complete the shoot of the flick and then dive into post-production so that it’s ready to arrive in cinemas on December 5.”

Besides Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled next, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment will have three more releases in 2025 – Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar on Eid, the multi-starrer comedy Housefull 5 on June 6 and Tiger Shroff’s actioner Baaghi 4 on September 5. Interestingly, he’s the only producer to have multiple mega releases under his banner without any collaborations.

Meanwhile, as per reports, Sajid Nadiadwala is all set to unveil the much-awaited teaser of Salman Khan starrer Sikandar on his birthday, that is, December 27.

Rapper Badshah, who recently surprised fans with a performance at Karan Aujla’s concert in Gurugram, has found himself at the center of controversy over allegations of violating traffic rules. Reports claimed that Badshah’s convoy drove on the wrong side of the road, resulting in a fine of Rs 15,000. Addressing the matter, Badshah and his team have categorically denied any wrongdoing.

Badshah’s Response on Instagram
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night, Badshah clarified the situation with a lighthearted tone. He wrote, “Bhai Thar toh hai bhi nahi mere paas, na main drive kar raha tha us din. I was being driven in a white Vellfire and we always drive responsibly, chahe gaadiyan chahe game.”

The incident allegedly occurred on December 15, following Badshah’s appearance at Karan Aujla’s concert at Aria Mall, Gurugram. Viral posts claimed that a vehicle in Badshah’s convoy was fined for the violation. However, further investigation revealed that the vehicle in question was registered in the name of a youth from Panipat and not the rapper.
Traffic Police and Official Statement
The Gurugram Traffic Police confirmed that a challan of Rs. 15,500 had been issued against one vehicle, while the remaining vehicles in the convoy were still being identified. A traffic police official, speaking anonymously, stated that fines under the Motor Vehicles Act 2019 would also be issued to other vehicles found in violation.

In response, Badshah’s team issued a detailed statement denying all allegations. The statement read, “We categorically deny any involvement of Badshah or his team in the reported traffic violation. None of the vehicles in our party, including those transporting Badshah, were involved in the incident of driving on the wrong side of the road.”
Denial of Fines and Cooperation with Authorities
Badshah’s team emphasized that no fines were levied on any vehicle associated with the rapper. They further clarified that the vehicles involved in transporting him were driven by professionally licensed drivers from a trusted transportation provider. The statement added, “We are cooperating fully with any official inquiries into this matter and will provide all necessary documentation to confirm Badshah’s whereabouts and travel arrangements that evening.” The team also highlighted attempts to contact the authorities for clarity, which they claimed went unanswered.

Sources close to the project revealed that the yet-untitled film will go on floors in the first quarter of 2025, with a planned theatrical release by the year’s end. “The film’s subject is terrific, and everyone involved is excited to begin production. This thriller will do justice to Vijay Sethupathi’s stature as both an actor and a star,” said a source quoted in a Pinkvilla report.
Official Confirmations
Murad Khetani confirmed the collaboration in an exclusive interview with the portal. “There are several projects in the pipeline, but one film has been locked. Atlee sir and I are starting a Tamil film, which will go on floors very soon. We will share more details shortly,” he said.

Adding to this, Atlee shared his enthusiasm for the project: “Yes, it’s a film with Vijay Sethupathi sir. It’s a fantastic story that Murad sir and I have been working on for the past two years. This is the next banger from Cine1 and A For Apple.”
A Thrilling Follow-Up to Baby John

Anshuman Jha has signed his next film opposite Australian actress Sara Hopkins titled Welcome To Agra. Helmed by debutant film maker Ashish Dubey the film is a quintessential old school love story between a cycle rickshaw driver and a British tourist in Agra, set at the cusp of the millennium in 2000. The UP born director has been in Chennai, assisting some of the biggest names in the South industry like N. Lingusamy and wants to make a classical love story in Hindi since he hails from Uttar Pradesh.

Ashish said, “Agra is the mecca of love. And I have dreamt of making this film for years. It has been a wish to work with Anshuman Sir since his debut film LSD (Love Sex Aur Dhoka). I am so glad he hasn’t done any out and out love story in the past decade and this film will showcase the unadulterated power of genuine love and connect. With the symbol of love Taj Mahal in the background, we truly hope to bring back the audiences into theatres for a pure love story.
