Salman Khan has reportedly received multiple death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a recent development, he has received a fresh threat demanding that he either apologize at a Bishnoi community temple or pay Rs 5 crores for allegedly killing a black buck.

According to PTI, the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room received a threat message believed to have been sent by Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother. Sources indicate that this message for Salman Khan was sent on the night of November 4, 2024, via WhatsApp.

The message reportedly stated, “This is Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother speaking… If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should either apologize at our temple or pay Rs 5 crores. If he does not comply, we will kill him. Our gang is still active.”

The police are currently investigating the message and working to identify the individual behind it. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), ANI announced that a case is being registered, stating, “In the case of a threat to actor Salman Khan, the process of registering the case is underway at Worli Police Station. The number from which the message came is being traced: Mumbai Police.”

Earlier, politician Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan, was shot dead, prompting an increase in the actor’s security. Despite the heightened threat level, Salman resumed work on his film Sikandar as per original schedule, supported by high-level security.

India Today reported that “his entire team is being careful about the security arrangements, and Salman himself has been making sure that no one suffers a delay because of him.”

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar is set to hit theatres on Eid 2025. The action entertainer features a cast that includes Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. Salman and Rashmika have been filming in Hyderabad, with plans for the team to wrap up production by the end of this year.

Hrithik Roshan has been actively shaping his future projects. While he is currently immersed in the production of War 2 alongside Jr. NTR, and gearing up for a cameo appearance in Alpha with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, Roshan is also exploring new avenues for his cinematic journey. Earlier this year, he was in discussions with renowned filmmaker Kabir Khan to collaborate on a similar project. However, due to creative differences, the collaboration did not materialize.

Undeterred, Roshan has begun exploring the concept with another director, though the project is still in its early stages. For the time being, the focus remains on the highly anticipated Krrish 4. Produced by his father, Rakesh Roshan, and directed by Karan Malhotra, this superhero sequel is slated to commence production next year.

Actress Helena Luke, who was Mithun Chakraborty’s first wife, died on Sunday in the USA. Dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer announced her passing on social media. Helena was best known for her performance in Amitabh Bachchan’s 1985 film Mard. She was married to Mithun for four months, but their marriage ended within four months.

Helena’s final Facebook post was made at 9:20 am on Sunday, where she expressed, “Feeling weird. Mixed emotions and no clue why, discombobulated.”

In a past interview, Helena referred to her four-month marriage to Mithun as a “hazy dream.” She told Stardust Magazine, “I only wish it hadn’t happened; he was the one who brainwashed me into believing he was the man for me, and unfortunately, he succeeded.” Despite rumors of a possible reconciliation with Mithun, Helena stated, “I’ll never go back to him, even if he is the richest guy around. I haven’t even asked for alimony; it was a nightmare, and it’s over.”

Mithun, who had assured Helena’s father that he would treat her like the “ninth wonder of the world,” ended up leaving her feeling abandoned. In the interview, she expressed, “I truly believed him when he said he loved me. But as I got to know him better, I realized he only loved himself. He was extremely immature, and although I was years younger, I felt much older. He was very possessive and accused me of secretly seeing my ex-boyfriend Javed. I would get frustrated trying to convince him that I wasn’t, but I couldn’t change his deeply rooted suspicions. Eventually, I understood that he had a guilt complex; he was cheating on me and assumed I was doing the same.”

According to reports, Helena’s final social media post indicated that she was not in good health, and her failure to seek timely medical treatment contributed to her passing.

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has reportedly been cast in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film, replacing Ayushmann Khurrana, who exited the project due to scheduling conflicts. The film, tentatively titled Daayra, is expected to feature Prithviraj as a cop, with the storyline inspired by a real and unsettling incident.

According to a report by India Today, Prithviraj was approached after both Ayushmann Khurrana and Sidharth Malhotra opted out due to scheduling issues. “Prithviraj connected with the script and its powerful message. His role is essential to driving the narrative, while Kareena’s character will show her in a new light, blending strength, vulnerability, and intuition,” the source shared with the portal.
Why Ayushmann Khurrana Exited the Project
Ayushmann Khurrana’s departure from Daayra is attributed to multiple commitments, including an extensive music tour across major U.S. cities, as well as upcoming films such as Border 2 and other projects with Karan Johar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Maddock Films. Due to overlapping dates, Ayushmann decided not to pursue Daayra, leaving an opening for Prithviraj to step in.

Prithviraj’s Recent and Upcoming Projects

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who was recently seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, played the antagonist in the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film. The actor also starred in Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), based on Benyamin’s acclaimed novel, portraying the gripping journey of Najeeb, an immigrant labourer trapped in slavery in the Middle East.

Looking ahead, Prithviraj has wrapped the third schedule of his directorial project L2E: Empuraan, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. The film, starring Mohanlal, has generated significant anticipation as fans await the return of Mohanlal’s character, Stephen Nedumpally. L2E: Empuraan will release in multiple languages.

While most of the remunerative reports that we read are fabricated – nobody reveals his or her actual payment – I have it from a very reliable source that the versatile and prolific Rajkummar Rao has raised his fee to Rs 5 crores.

A source very close to the development informed, “Raj is saying no to numerous offers for monetary reasons, and why not? Stree 2 is perhaps the biggest blockbuster of all times. He has rightfully, and rightly, raised his remuneration to Rs 5 crores.”

One of the recent projects Rajkummar Rao turned down for the remuneration offered is Vikas Bahl’s Darwaza. The role has now gone to Siddhant Chaturvedi who agreed to do the role for much less than Rs 5 crores.

Said Raj, “I have to admit my volume of work has increased. It started with Kai Po Che, Queen and the National award for Shahid. I am consciously trying not to do smaller parts. I will only do leading roles now. But if someone offers me Satya, I’d agree to play Bhiku Mhatre instead of the title role. Fortunately, no one is offering me supporting roles. Work is more important than my own space. I am happy I am getting the kind of roles I want.”

He added, “I think I will take time off for myself before I start shooting for my next film. I’d love to bash up 20 people, dance and romance beautiful girls. I’ve no inhibitions about playing any character. But the script should make sense to me. I give all of myself to all my characters. Even the scumbag I played in Ragini MMS. I am in Hindi cinema at just the right time. Five years ago, I wouldn’t have got a Shahid or Citylights. To me my character, the story and then the producer, these are the three aspects I look into before I accept an offer.”

After months of anticipation, renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is ready to begin filming Love & War, his latest period drama featuring a stellar cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. The shoot is set to kick off on November 7 at Studio 5 in Mumbai’s Film City, where the elaborate set has been carefully designed to capture the historic atmosphere Bhansali is celebrated for.

The film’s opening scene will involve a group of 50 extras portraying sepoys, adding authenticity to the war-era setting. Only Ranbir Kapoor is expected to film the initial scenes, with Vicky Kaushal joining the project next week and Alia Bhatt scheduled to begin her scenes in December.

Varun Dhawan and Raj and DK, confused by the question, opted to use two of their three lifelines, finally selecting Zubeida as their answer. Bachchan then shared additional details, explaining that Zubeida starred in Alam Ara, India’s first talkie film, and that her life inspired the Bollywood film Zubeidaa, which starred Karisma Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee.

Khalid’s comment has fuelled further discussion online, with some users supporting his point. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “So #KaunBanegaKarodPati goofed up today with the question on Maharaja Hanwant Singh and his wife Zubeida Begum, who both died in a plane crash in 1952. #KBC.” Another viewer explained that the Zubeida who starred in Alam Ara was married to the Maharaja of Hyderabad and lived until the late 1980s, contrasting with the details provided on the show.
