In his letter, Sukesh extended Diwali greetings to Jacqueline, noting that this Diwali holds special significance as he awaits the resolution of two pending bail cases. He wrote, “Baby our love story is nothing lesser than our great Ramayan…just like my Lord Rama who returned from Vanavas with his Sita, I am also returning from this short Vanavas, for my Sita, Jacqueline.”

In the message, Sukesh also referenced Jacqueline’s recent trip to Paris, complimenting her look in a series of black attire photos, claiming it’s his favourite colour and spotting something “special” between them in these pictures.

Kajol’s debut in the horror genre, Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, is undergoing final adjustments before its release. After watching the initial rushes of the film, the producer and Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn suggested incorporating more action sequences to enhance the storyline. Devgn’s input has set in motion an additional shoot scheduled for November in Mumbai.

Ajay Devgn Adds His Creative Input to Maa
For the unversed, the upcoming film Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, wrapped its primary shoot in mid-May, but the team will return to the set for a few additional scenes. Devgn has been involved in Maa from its initial concept stage. A recent report by Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “Writer Saiwyn Quadras had pitched the concept to Ajay, who liked it and set things into motion. Recently, the actor watched the rough cut and loved it. That was immensely encouraging for Vishal, who has displayed his command over the genre with Chhorii [2021]. Ajay gave him a few inputs to enhance the narrative.”

The additional scenes are intended to heighten both the emotional and action-driven aspects of the film, creating a balance between horror and human connection.
New Action Scenes To Be Directed by RP Yadav
The additional scenes, recommended by Devgn, will be developed by action director RP Yadav, whose work on Tanhaji (2020) and Shaitaan received acclaim. Yadav’s contribution will align with Devgn’s vision of making the film’s action realistic and emotion-driven, a departure from standard horror-action blends. “Since Maa is an emotion-driven story at its crux, the action needs to be contextual and realistic. Keeping that in mind, the action director and Furia are designing the new sequences,” added the source.
Plot Premise of Maa and Kajol’s Role
Set in the rural backdrop of Chandanpur in West Bengal, Maa centres on a mother, portrayed by Kajol, who must protect her daughter from a supernatural entity. This project holds a significant place for Kajol as her first horror film. Devgn reportedly suggested subtle additions to amplify the emotional weight of the mother-daughter relationship, believing it would intensify the audience’s engagement with the story. “He felt adding some emotional moments would increase the audience’s investment in the mother-daughter story,” shared the insider.

To align with Kajol’s availability as she wraps up shooting for The Trial Season 2, the team will reconvene in November for a five-day shoot in Mumbai.

The Hindi moviegoers are all set for the biggest clash of the year that will take place tomorrow, Friday, November 1, at the box office, between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films will have a wide release and also overseas. However, moviegoers in some parts won’t be able to enjoy the Diwali biggies while those in Singapore will have to wait until a week to catch the Ajay Devgn-starrer.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Singham Again’s release has been pushed by a week. As per sources, the decision was taken as the Censor process wasn’t completed on time. A source told us, “Singapore Censor Board is very strict and particular and has been known to behave this way. In the past as well, many films have suffered in a similar fashion.”

The source further said, “Singham Again is now expected to release next week, that is, Thursday, November 7.” As per the official press note, Singham Again will have a wide overseas release in 1900 screens, including a record-breaking 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In North America, it will be shown in more than 760 screens and in Canada, it has secured the highest number of screens in Cineplex, which contributes 80% of Canada’s box office. In the UK and Ireland, Singham Again has secured showcasing in 224 cinemas.

Meanwhile, Singham Again and the other Diwali release, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, have both been banned in Saudi Arabia. As per reports, while Singham Again will not release in the Asian country due to portrayal of ‘religious conflict’, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is banned over homosexual references.

Besides Ajay Devgn, Singham Again also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It is directed by Rohit Shetty. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.

At YRF, Pedro met the CEO of the company, Akshaye Widhani and the two spoke about the 50 year legacy of YRF and the forecast for Indian film industry in the next 5 years.

This is the first visit of any Spanish PM/Prez to India in 18 years and Pedro’s visit to YRF is a landmark moment for the Hindi film fraternity. YRF & Spain has incredibly strong cultural ties as Pathaan and War 2 were shot extensively in beautiful Spanish locations.

According to an independent industry source, “Producer Ektaa R Kapoor introduced the iconic song ‘Ram Ram’ in her show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and now, 20 years later, she has recreated the song for her film The Sabarmati Report with the title ‘Raja Ram.’ The song teaser is set to release tomorrow.”

In a new twist amid threat to Salman Khan, Mumbai traffic control received an anonymous message warning that the actor would be killed if he did not pay a Rs 2 crores ransom, police sources reported.

Salman Khan has reportedly received another death threat, with an anonymous caller demanding Rs 2 crores, as reported by India Today. The threat, directed to Mumbai Traffic Police, warned that the actor’s life would be at risk if the ransom isn’t paid.

Following this, Worli police filed a case against an unidentified individual and began investigating the threat’s origin. This incident follows the recent arrest of a 20-year-old from Noida in connection with a separate threat call targeting both Salman and the late NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique.

Identified as Mohammed Tayyab, also known as Gurfan Khan, the suspect was detained in Noida’s Sector 39 area on Tuesday. According to India Today, the suspect made a threatening call last Friday to Zeeshan Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East, demanding ransom and issuing threats against both Siddique and Salman Khan.

After the threatening call, an employee at Siddique’s office filed a complaint, leading authorities to register a case at Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar police station. Police sources revealed that Tayyab, a Delhi resident, was detained, with a transit remand secured to bring him to Mumbai for further questioning.

This comes shortly after Mumbai traffic police received a WhatsApp message from an individual claiming affiliation with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, demanding Rs 5 crores from Salman Khan to settle ongoing tensions with the gangster.

The message ominously warned that if Salman Khan refused to comply, he might face the same fate as his friend Baba Siddique, who was killed by the same gang.

After the initial threat, the sender followed up with a message apologizing, claiming the previous text was sent by mistake and that no harm was actually intended. Despite this retraction, police responded promptly and tracked the sender to Jharkhand.

A special team was dispatched to apprehend the individual, resulting in the arrest of a vegetable seller named Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin from Jamshedpur, according to PTI.

KGF star Yash is set to make his return with the action thriller Toxic. However, the production of this anticipated film has come under intense scrutiny. The film’s producers stand accused of cutting down around 100 trees illegally in Bengaluru’s Peenya area to construct the film set. Karnataka’s Environment Minister, Eshwar Khandre, has raised serious concerns over this alleged environmental breach, calling for strict action.

Environmental Concerns and Allegations
According to a report by PTI, Khandre addressed the allegations in a formal letter to Karnataka’s Additional Chief Secretary, expressing his concerns regarding the tree-cutting incident. He stated, “This is a serious violation. Hundreds of trees have been removed without permission, and we are seeking strict legal repercussions.”

In his letter, Khandre highlighted a long-standing issue, claiming that 599 acres of forest land had been unlawfully transferred to Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) in the 1960s, without proper de-notification. Over the years, Khandre alleged, HMT leased portions of this land to private entities and even rented forest areas for movie productions. He further cited the case of Toxic, in which a “massive set was erected on land reportedly sold to Canara Bank, leading to significant tree cutting.”
Government Demands Investigation
Khandre spoke about the need for accountability in this matter, urging a thorough investigation and potential legal action. “HMT is not only leasing the land to private entities but also renting forestland for film sets,” Khandre stated, underscoring the impact of the alleged deforestation on the environment and calling for “strict legal repercussions” to prevent further occurrences.
Producers React to Allegations
In response to the controversy, Toxic’s production house, KVN Productions, released a statement denying the allegations. According to News18, KVN Productions clarified that the land used for the set is privately owned and that all necessary permissions had been secured. A spokesperson for the production house commented, “We conducted a comprehensive survey in February 2024 and have submitted relevant documents. We await the Forest Department’s report and will challenge these claims if necessary.”

Toxic, which was announced in December 2023, is slated for a theatrical release on April 10, 2025. The film’s high-profile nature, coupled with Yash’s massive fan base, has increased the spotlight on the project and intensified public interest.
