Jio Studios and Baweja Studios are teaming up once again for Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, a quirky romantic comedy directed by Danish Aslam. This film, featuring Prateik Babbar, Sayani Gupta, and Kubbra Sait, will premiere on JioCinema Premium on 8th November. This rom-com marks the second collaboration between the two studios, following the acclaimed Mrs., which starred Sanya Malhotra in the lead and has earned accolades at international film festivals.

Shot in India & the UK, Khwaabon Ka Jhamela revolves around Zubin, a guy with a knack for numbers but not romance, who faces rejection when his fiancée, Shehnaz, turns down his proposal due to his bedroom blunders. Seeking solace, he meets Ruby, a spirited intimacy coordinator & they strike a quirky deal, leading to a hilarious journey of self-improvement & the possibility of love.

Last month, we informed readers that the documentary show The Roshans will premiere on Netflix in December 2024. Bollywood Hungama has now learned that there’s a slight change in the plan. The much-awaited show will now be released a month later, in January 2025.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The Roshans is now expected to release on January 10. The day is special as it also happens to be the birthday of superstar Hrithik Roshan.”

In fact, the second week of January 2025 will be a significant one for the Roshan family. Hrithik Roshan’s debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was released on January 14, 2000. Hence, it will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the said week. In other words, Hrithik will also complete 25 years as a film actor. And that’s not all.  The much-loved Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s Karan Arjun (1995), directed by Rakesh Roshan, will celebrate its 30th anniversary, on January 13.

As the name suggests, The Roshans throws light on the members of the Roshan family who are or were a part of the industry, that is, composer Roshan, musician-son Rajesh Roshan, filmmaker-son Rakesh Roshan and the latter’s superstar son, Hrithik Roshan.

As per reports, director Shashi Ranjan began work on The Roshans in the first half of 2023. It will document their journey and feature interviews of not just the members of the Roshan family but also Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Vicky Kaushal’s father and action director Sham Kaushal etc. On January 23 this year, Rakesh Roshan posted a picture of him posing with SRK. In the caption, he thanked the superstar for contributing to The Roshans.

On the film front, Hrithik Roshan is currently busy shooting for War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, it also stars Jr NTR and Kiara Advani and will be released on Independence Day 2025. Rakesh Roshan, meanwhile, is working on Krrish 4, which also stars Hrithik.

Returning with another new show on marriage and customs is ZEE TV which promises to trace the journey of Reet and Raghav, where they make a startling choice of ‘aata saata marriage’, to marry not for love, but as a ‘guarantee’ for their siblings’ happiness. Based in Gwalior, North India, where such customs are prevalent, Reet is played by Ayushi Khurana and Raghav is portrayed by the handsome Bharat Ahlawwat. After they unveiled the promo of their new show on Wednesday, October 23, the two actors have decided to give excited fans a further sneak peek into their characters.

Speaking about her character Reet, she is a fiercely independent and sharp-witted reporter from a middle-class family based in Gwalior. She has often been at the helm of challenging redundant societal norms, using her voice to question archaic mindsets. Elaborating on her character, Ayushi Khurana said, “I’ve been eagerly waiting for a challenging character like Reet since a while now, and I’m thrilled that I finally got such a part to play. She is a focused, emotional, helpful, and determined person, and I can relate to her on many levels. In real life as well, I enjoy helping those around me and I’m very protective of my family just like Reet. Although I thought it would be a tricky character to portray, I instantly connected with her because of our similarities and that has helped me bring alive Reet in an apt manner. I hope the audience will shower their love for this character and our show.”

On the other hand, Raghav is said to be a temperamental man-child with a tough exterior that masks a wounded soul. Running a successful construction business, he affectionately spoils his younger sister Unnati with gifts. Though Raghav doesn’t advocate for age-old traditions, a turn of events forces him to prioritise his sister’s happiness over his own beliefs. Bharat Ahlawwat too decided to give a deeper insight adding, “My character of Raghav has many interesting layers, and that is really exciting. He is a volatile man who behaves tough but deep down he is a wounded soul who is trying to cover up his emotions at all times. I can’t wait to experience his journey. I believe that, as an actor, trying out different characters helps you evolve and improve your craft, and that is what I am looking forward to doing. I hope I do justice to this character.”

Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile not only focuses on aata saata marriage custom that is still prevalent across parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, but it also promises a bold narrative that will take an unconventional dive into the complex dynamics of relationships, driven by the love for family with two modern, headstrong protagonists.

Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have expanded their impressive real estate portfolio, recently purchasing properties worth Rs. 24.95 crore in the highly desirable Mulund West area of Mumbai, as reported by Square Yards.

Mulund West is a sought-after residential hub known for its excellent connectivity to both central and western Mumbai, combining modern infrastructure with lush greenery. The new properties are situated in Oberoi Realty’s upscale residential project, Eternia, which features ready-to-move-in 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments.

The Bachchan family’s latest acquisition encompasses a total carpet area of 10,216 sq. ft., consisting of 10 apartments—eight measuring 1,049 sq. ft. each and two at 912 sq. ft. Each purchase included two car parking spaces, and the overall transaction incurred a stamp duty of Rs. 1.50 crore. Notably, Abhishek Bachchan acquired six of these apartments for Rs. 14.77 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan purchased the remaining four.

This latest investment adds to the Bachchan family’s remarkable real estate activities. Since 2020, they have accounted for over a quarter of celebrity property transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), amassing approximately 0.19 million sq. ft. of property with a total investment of Rs. 219 crore. In 2024 alone, the Bachchan family has invested more than Rs. 100 crore in real estate, focusing primarily on properties in Oshiwara and Magathane (Borivali East), which include both residential and commercial spaces.

Akshay Kumar, wife Twinkle Khanna and mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia made a rare appearance at the premiere of the film Go Noni Go at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024. It is based on the short story ‘Salaam Noni Appa’ written by Twinkle Khanna. She has also produced the film and stars Dimple Kapadia in the lead. Akshay graced the premiere to cheer for his family. The others present at the premiere were actors Manav Kaul and Rohan Mehra, director Sonal Dabral and fellow producers Sameer Nair, Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg. A short Q-and-A session followed after the film screening.

Interestingly, Go Noni Go features the voiceover of producer-director Karan Johar. He plays the sutradhar of the film and is also the voice of the car that Noni (Dimple Kapadia) drives in the film. The car, an old red coloured Fiat, interestingly is named Basanti!

Sameer Nair was asked whose idea it was to get Karan Johar to voice the car. He replied, “That would have to be Tanuj.” Tanuj denied that it was his idea and Sameer Nair clarified, “But you were the old who told me about it.”

Was Sameer Nair bewildered by the suggestion? He said, “No. I am always happy (smiles). Why would I not want Karan Johar to voice and end his final dialogue with ‘Toodles’?”

The confusion on whether it was Twinkle Khanna or Tanuj Garg who gave the genius idea. Twinkle Khanna quipped, “We just pretend we don’t remember whose decision it was!”

Atul Kasbekar was asked about the release plans of Go Noni Go and whether it’ll arrive in cinemas or premiere on a streaming giant. He answered, “It’ll premiere on an OTT platform. That announcement will be made soon.”

Rohan Mehra, in his baritone voice, spoke about his experience of doing the film, “It’s quite overwhelming to be sharing screen space with these legends. I knew that my character only had two scenes but it really felt exciting and hence, I went for it.”
