SCOOP: MUCH-AWAITED Singham Again trailer to be released on October 3

More than a month is left for Diwali and the trade, industry and fans are gearing up for the biggest clash of the year at the box office, between Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. The promotions of the former, a horror comedy starring Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, have begun in full swing. On September 25 and 26, the makers dropped two teaser posters. Today, September 27, the teaser was launched and the trailer will be out soon. Meanwhile, Singham Again fans are wondering when the assets of their film will start rolling.

Well, the fans won’t have to wait for long. As per sources, the team of Singham Again will be releasing a theatrical trailer soon. A source told us, “The trailer will be unveiled on Thursday, October 3. Director Rohit Shetty is aware of the mammoth expectations of the fans from the much-loved cop universe. He took his time to cut an exciting trailer that gives an idea about the film’s plot and also contributes enough screen time to the gigantic star cast of the film. The team of the film is confident that the hype for Singham Again, which is already high, will go on another level once the trailer is unveiled.”

When asked whether there’ll be a trailer launch, the source didn’t have any information and added, “A clearer picture on this front will emerge in a few days.”

Singham Again stars not just Ajay Devgn aka Bajirao Singham but also Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff. It is all set to release on Friday, November 1. It is the third Singham film and the fifth film of the Rohit Shetty cop universe. The franchise began with a bang with Singham (2011) followed by Singham Again (2014). Then, Simmba (2018), starring Ranveer Singh, was released and it had a cameo of Singham. In Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi (2021), both Singham and Simmba appeared and it led to a frenzy in cinemas.

“Didn’t expect Sonu Nigam to stoop down to a sewage level,” says Somy Ali as she accuses him of duping her; watch

Former actress Somy Ali recently made headlines with allegations against renowned singer Sonu Nigam. Through a detailed Instagram post, Ali accused Nigam of misleading and duping her, going as far as to label him a sociopath. The accusations were coupled with a long video message where Ali shared her experience and disappointment.

In her post, Somy Ali expressed her disbelief and shock over being allegedly duped by Sonu Nigam. She mentioned how she had initially respected the singer but later realized his true intentions. Referring to the singer directly, she wrote, “This is what people are and how they take advantage of you. @sonunigamofficial… I am shell shocked is and would be an understatement.” Ali further mentioned how her trust in Nigam led to her feeling deceived.

“Oh, by the way, this man who played me is Sonu Nigam. Be wary. He likes to make videos… These kinds of people are sociopaths,” Ali concluded in her post, expressing her deep sense of betrayal.
A Video Message to Her Fans
In the accompanying video message, Ali detailed the events that led to her accusations. She recalled how she had invited Sonu Nigam to her talk show, which was in its early stages. According to her, Nigam participated without any financial compensation but later refused to engage with her when she tried to offer him a significant opportunity.

Ali explained, “I started a little talk show… he shared a lot of wisdom, and I was literally bewildered and in awe of everything that he was saying. I genuinely believed that he was someone who believed in what he was preaching.” However, she claimed that she soon discovered that his participation had ulterior motives, which she believes were related to someone from her past.
A Missed Opportunity and Broken Trust
According to Ali, she offered Nigam a substantial opportunity with an international project, but he ignored her multiple attempts to contact him. She explained, “It was a big opportunity, it was a BBC documentary or something to do with Discovery, he refused to communicate with me.”

She went on to say that despite trying to reach out in multiple languages, Nigam did not respond. This incident left her feeling betrayed and disappointed, causing her to reflect on the kind of person she had trusted.

Ali concluded her video by reflecting on the lessons learned from the experience. She urged her fans to cut off individuals who exhibit such behavior and not to question themselves when someone takes advantage of their trust. “This is a reflection of their character, that how they’re behaving towards you and then that person all of a sudden is a chameleon,” she said, advising others not to chase or seek answers from people who deceive them.

In her closing words, Ali emphasized that the situation was a painful learning experience, but she hoped it would serve as a lesson to her followers about the importance of setting boundaries and recognizing manipulative behavior. Boman Irani and Anupam Kher starrer Khosla Ka Ghosla to re-release in theatres on October 18

On October 18, 2024, Khosla Ka Ghosla (KKG) returns to the big screen exactly after 18 years, and the film’s fans are ecstatic. It was a breakthrough film when it was released setting the tone for films rooted in reality and with humour beyond slapstick. The film’s satire and dialogues are integral to India’s collective conscience and are reflected in memes, comedian lingo, and daily conversations. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee and creatively produced by Jaideep Sahni, Khosla Ka Ghosla was produced by Tandav Film Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

The film revolves around Kamal Kishore Khosla whose land is grabbed by a thug named Khurana. In a bid to retrieve their land, Khosla’s son Cherry and his friends step in armed with a clever plan to fool the crook.

Anupam Kher, who played Khosla sahab in the movie, showed excited for the re-release by saying, “It is such a great feeling to know KKG is releasing again. It has achieved the status of a cult film. Wherever I go, people talk about Khosla ka Ghosla, and its lines are used as memes. I am delighted that it’s being re-released and that the audience will enjoy it all over again. A new generation will also feel the magic of the film.” Adding to the sentiment, Ranvir Shorey said, ” I am thrilled that Khosla ka Ghosla is getting a re-release almost 18 years after it was first released. I remember that the first time it was released was a difficult task for the producers because it was not a mainstream project, and getting a release was very tough. This time, when it is being released, the film is preceded by its reputation, so it is an exciting time. I am delighted that an entirely different generation will experience Khosla ka Ghosla on the big screen, and I hope everyone goes and watches it again.”

The film’s producer, Savitaraj Hiremath, recollects her struggle to release the film at the time and said, “The re-release is joyful and nostalgic for me as I remember how I began with such confidence and to my dismay realized how difficult it was to release the film. No distributor was willing to pick the film but to our delight when it finally released, it became a cult film, and became a super hit overnight..!! It was the best work by Jaideep Sahni and Dibakar Banerjee that has stood the test of time, and its dialogues and scenes have exploded on the internet. Not a day passes when I don’t come across some reference to the film. The film was made as a family with contributions from everyone, including our cast: Anupama Kher, Boman Irani, Ranvir Shorey, Tara Sharma & Parvin Dabas was immense. To have produced and released the film will always be a huge milestone in my life.”

Tara Sharma added, “I am so grateful to be part of a pathbreaking film Khosla Ka Ghosla…We had such fun shooting it, and the fact that 18 years later, it continues to resonate with and be loved by audiences everywhere is testimony to its being eternal.

Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna shoot for a song with 700 dancers; report

As more details of Chhaava comes to light, we understand how Laxman Utekar has gone all out to ensure that this Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna starrer is a major magnum opus. The historical drama featuring the two popular stars in the role of Chatrapati Sambhaji and his wife Yesubhai, will have the coronation ceremony of the king which plays a key part in the plotline. It seems that a song has been created by AR Rahman specifically for this occasion and to add to that it has been mounted on a large scale.

In fact, everything has been researched thoroughly including the music which is inspired by traditional Marathi folk music. We hear that music composer A R Rahman has used specific elements which were key to the kind of songs that were made during that era that comprised of instruments like the dholaki, tuntune, etc. Moreover, it is being said that the lyrics is inspired by a famous Marathi poem format called Powada which was being created to hail the kings of that era. A source was quoted in Mid-day report, where the details were confirmed and the source also added, “Vijay Ganguly, who previously choreographed the Stree 2 songs, made it a majestic affair by bringing in over 1,500 people to depict the crowd. The entire city of Raigad is shown to have come to celebrate Sambhaji’s coronation. While the number starts with Vicky’s character partaking in the rituals as his subjects rejoice, Rashmika and he are then seen joining in the revelry. This is the only dance number in the film, the rest play out in the background.”

Elaborating on the coronation track, we hear that it will feature 700 background dancers and was shot on a set modelled along the lines of the Raigad Fort in Maharashtra where the team shot for a period of four days. “The official coronation had taken place on January 16, 1681, at the Raigad fort. At the research stage of Chhaava, it was found out that a London newspaper had carried an article about how the coronation ceremony was a vibrant affair. The article aided the director in recreating the event. In the song, Vicky’s Sambhaji will be seen performing the yagna and the thread ceremony while his wife Yesubai does the Rajabhishek and aarti. As his kingdom rejoices, the king is finally seen taking the throne,” the source shared.

Starring Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb, Chhaava is a historical drama set in the 17th Century, inspired by the novel by the same name written by Shivaji Sawant. It is slated to release on December 6.

Salman Khan starrer Sikandar shoot suffers amid Mumbai’s torrential rains; all-night action shoot called off on Wednesday, filming to resume today: Report

The torrential rains that engulfed Mumbai on Wednesday, September 25, brought the city to a near standstill, disrupting various aspects of life, including film productions. Salman Khan’s upcoming action film, Sikandar, under the direction of AR Murugadoss, was one of the projects affected by the inclement weather.

According to a report in Mid-day, the film crew had been diligently working at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon since the end of August, preparing for an elaborate action sequence. However, the heavy rainfall forced a change of plans. The lighting setup required for the scene posed a significant risk of electrical short circuits, prompting the production team to prioritize safety and temporarily halt the shoot.

Salman Khan arrived at the set at 5 pm, prepared for an overnight shoot. A source close to the production revealed, “The shoot was to start at 7 pm, and the crew was on the set by 3 pm. But given the incessant rains, the direction team decided to call off the shoot for the day. The IMD had issued a red alert by then, and there was no way the team could have pulled off a night shoot in that weather.”

Despite the setback, the production team remains optimistic about resuming filming on Friday, weather permitting. The source assured, “The two-day delay is not expected to affect the project’s overall schedule.” Sikandar, which also features Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj, is being crafted as an action-packed film and is slated for an Eid 2025 release.
