While audiences are going gaga over the VFX and the unique take on Indian mythology being featured in Kalki 2898 AD, the Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan starrer is facing a legal notice. Renowned Hindu activist Acharya Pramod Krishnan has sent a legal notice with the help of his lawyer and Supreme Court advocate Ujjawal Anand to the makers of the sci-fi entertainer. In his statement, Krishnan has alleged that the film to be inaccurate further asserting that it has hurt the sentiments of Hindu religion.

In his complaint which was published in an ANI report, Acharya Pramod Krishnan has raised an objection against the content being portrayed in the film accusing it of being ‘blatantly disrespectful to Hindu scriptures’. He also went on to allege that the film’s story will ‘tarnish the mythology’ and ‘mislead devout Hindus’. He was further quoted in these reports saying, “India is a land of emotions, faith, and devotion. The values of Sanatana Dharma should not be tampered with. The scriptures of Sanatana should not be altered. Lord Kalki Narayan is at the center of our faith. He is considered the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Much is written about the incarnation of Kalki in the Puranas, and based on this, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Shri Kalki Dham on February 19,” he said.

“This film goes against what is described in our scriptures. This film is hurting our religious sentiments. Therefore, we have noted some objections and are waiting for a response. Playing with the sentiments of Hindus has become a pastime for filmmakers. Saints are portrayed as demons. Freedom of expression does not mean that you can play with our faith,” the Acharya added.

Speaking of the film, Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi entertainer inspired by the ancient prophecy in Indian mythology about the return of Lord Vishnu as Kalki to save his devotees from the atrocities in the unjust ‘Kalyug’ (the era of Kalyug). The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani along with an ensemble supporting cast and is directed by Nag Ashwin. The film released to positive responses in theatres on June 27 in multiple South languages as well as Hindi.

The exhibition sector is already dreading the three-way clash which will take place on Independence Day. On August 15, as many as three films – Stree 2, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein – are scheduled to be released in cinemas. The other clash that will be a big talking point is between Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again on Diwali. And if recent reports are to be believed, then a film of Aamir Khan Productions might also try its luck on the big screen during the Festival of Lights.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a film starring Mona Singh and produced by Aamir Khan is slated to release during Diwali. The article states that the film is untitled but Bollywood Hungama learned that it is titled Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos. Apart from Mona Singh, it also stars Mithila Palkar and Sharib Hashmi. It is directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shastri. Vir reportedly also features in the film as an actor. The shoot of the film was recently wrapped up.

According to the Mid-Day article, Mona Singh plays a gangster in this film and is on the lines of Aamir Khan-produced adult comedy, Delhi Belly (2011). Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos marks the third time Mona Singh has worked with Aamir after 3 Idiots (2009) and Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). In both these films, Aamir Khan was involved as an actor but here, he’s also involved as a producer.

Apart from Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos, Aamir Khan is also expected to have one more release this year – Sitaare Zameen Par. It features him in the lead role and is directed by R S Prasanna of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017) fame. It is the official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones and also stars Genelia Deshmukh. It reunites Aamir Khan with his Taare Zameen Par (2007) co-star Darsheel Safary.

Coming back to Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos, it was also the same film that was speculated as Imran Khan’s comeback. The actor, however, denied that he’s acting in the film.

Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos has been Vir Das’ dream project for a while. In a 2018 interview to GQ, he said, “It (Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos) is going to be in the Austin Powers, Johnny English action-comedy territory, which is kind of unexplored in India.”

Actress Jasmin Bhasin is facing a challenging phase as she copes with her bandaged eye due to corneal damage caused by a lens mishap. Bhasin went on to reveal that she was not in Mumbai and elaborated on what went wrong, as she explained, “I was in Delhi for an event on July 17, for which I was preparing. I don’t know what exactly went wrong with my lens, but after wearing it, my eyes started hurting, and the pain gradually intensified.”

The actress, who is known for television and reality shows, went on to add about how the injury intesified while she was attending a few work commitments, leading her to seek medical help. She continued, “I wanted to see a doctor, but due to work commitments, I decided to participate in the event first and then visit the doctor. I wore sunglasses during the event and the team helped me with handling things, as I couldn’t see properly after a while. We went to an eye specialist late at night, who diagnosed me with corneal damage and placed bandages on my eyes.”

Updating on her current condition, she expressed, “I am in a lot of pain. Doctors have told me I should recover in the next four to five days, but until then, I need to take good care of my eyes. It’s not easy because I can’t see properly and the pain makes it difficult even to sleep.” However, Jasmin remains hopeful of returning to work soon. “Fortunately, I didn’t have to postpone any of my commitments. I hope to recover in a few days and get back to work,” she concluded.

While this is the first post the couple shared after the arrival of their baby, along with fans, many industry insiders as well as friends of the couple dropped sweet congratulatory messages to the new parents. Among them was Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Tabu, Taapsee Pannu Malaika Arora, Soha Ali Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Gauahar Khan, Archana Puran Singh, Neeti Mohan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Heeramandi co-star Manisha Koirala, and several others dropped heart emojis and sweet notes to the couple. “Welcome to the world baby girl! The first filming schedule of David Dhawan’s upcoming comedy film has wrapped in Mumbai. The yet-to-be-titled project reunites director David Dhawan with his son Varun Dhawan for the fourth time, following hits like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. Mrunal Thakur joins the cast as the leading lady.

The untitled film has been generating anticipation for some time now, as it reunites VD and David for the fourth time following films such as Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1. While the film’s first schedule is complete, Varun will focus on his other forthcoming feature, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

As per sources, the next schedule is slated for November, allowing Varun to complete his upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

The source also adds that Varun Dhawan also sustained a rib injury during filming.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will also star in Citadel with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Citadel, directed by Raj and DK, is an Indian version of the same-titled international series developed by the Russo Brothers. According to rumours, the actress and Varun Dhawan are executing high-octane action scenes in the film.

Janhvi Kapoor, an actress, was hospitalised in Mumbai earlier this week after contracting severe food illness. It is now being reported that she has been discharged and is doing well.

According to Zoom, she has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home. Her father Boney Kapoor confirmed the news and stated, “She was discharged this morning. She is much better now.”

According to a Times Now article, her father, sister Khushi Kapoor, and claimed lover Shikhar Pahariya have always been by her side, caring for her.

Earlier this week, a source close to the actor told Hindustan Times that Janhvi was hospitalised to a South Mumbai hospital on Thursday. She had a “severe case of food poisoning”

It was claimed at the time that she is on her path to recovery, “though she is struggling with weakness”. On Tuesday, Janhvi returned to Mumbai from Chennai. She didn’t feel well on Wednesday, so she opted not to go out.

Recently, Janhvi has been balancing her personal and professional lives. She was recently seen attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding ceremony. Following that, she began promoting her forthcoming film Ulajh, in which she plays Suhana Bhatia.

On the work front, Fans will see Janhvi next in Ulajh as Suhana Bhatia, a young diplomat caught up in a labyrinth of intrigue and conspiracy. Sudhanshu Saria directs the film, which promises a riveting story set against the backdrop of high-stakes international diplomacy.

Bollywood Hungama was one of the first ones to report that Salman Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon will be attending the trailer launch of the much awaited Marathi film, Dharmaveer 2. While Kartik and Kriti failed to make it, superstar Salman Khan managed to grace the ocassion. As expected, his presence was the USP of the event. Interestingly, he also attended the trailer launch of the first part, which was released in May 2022. It was a big hit and hence the team of the film constantly called him a lucky charm.

The other celeb guests present at the event were Boman Irani, Siddharth Jadhav, Ashok Saraf, Jeetendra, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Govinda and Orry along with Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. Salman was the last one to arrive and the attendees patiently waited for him to arrive. Its only after his arrival that the trailer of the Hindi dubbed version was unveiled.

Before the Hindi trailer of Dharmaveer 2 was released, Salman Khan greeted with all the chief guests on the sets. One of the most memorable moments was when Salman gave a warm hug to Govinda. Govinda was all smiles as he embraced the star. Incidentally, the event was held on July 20, the day their memorable comic caper Partner (2007) was released in cinemas 17 years ago.

After the trailer was released, Salman Khan was asked to speak a few lines. Everyone expected him to talk for a few minutes. The superstar however simply said, “I came for the trailer launch of the first part and it became a super hit. I hope the sequel is an even bigger hit. Thank you. Jai Hind. Jai Maharashtra!”

Dharmaveer is based on the life of the late Anand Dighe, one of the most loved and respected leaders of Shiv Sena and Maharashtra. Incidentally, Eknath Shinde is the protégé of Anand Dighe. The former’s character had an important part in the first part. While Prasad Oak played Anand Dighe, Eknath Shinde’s role was played by Kshitish Date.

Dharmaveer 2 releases in cinemas in original Marathi version and Hindi dubbed version on August 9.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Raaj Shaandilyaa are all ready to work together again. Previously, both worked together on Dream Girl and Dream Girl 2. They are reportedly reuniting for a comedic picture. Pinkvilla has exclusively revealed that they are in negotiations, and if everything goes well, they may begin filming shortly. Things have still to be made official.

According to a source close to the project, Raaj has written a funny family comedy, and Ayushmann has expressed interest in doing the film. “The film is a standalone comedy film and not Dream Girl 3. Raaj is writing an hatke comic entertainer and Ayushmann is impressed with the basic idea of the film. The writing will be finished in another month, followed by a narration,” revealed a person close to the project.

While Raaj is now working on Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Ayushmann is filming an unnamed comedy film produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga. He follows it up with Dinesh Vijan’s Vampires of Vijay Nagar, which was released in October.

This is Ayushmann’s first collaboration with Karan Johar-led Dharma Production. Aakash Kaushik will helm the untitled film, which is supposed to be a unique espionage comedy.

According to sources close to the production told PinkVilla, “Karan and Guneet have been very excited about this subject as the script has shaped up well with a perfect blend of espionage elements with comedy. The script tick marks all the boxes of a commercial film as it has scale, thrill, and action with a lot of comedy, and the trio of Karan, Guneet, and Aakash feel that Ayushmann Khurrana fits the character to the T.”

This film has the potential to reinvent the espionage genre in Hindi cinema and will be regarded as a definitive Ayushmann Khurrana film. The source said, “The film goes on floors in a couple of months and the official announcement with title is around the corner. The makers are in advanced stages of discussion with Sara Ali Khan to play the female lead.”

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Dream Girl 2. The remainder of the cast includes Ananya Pandey as the female protagonist, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, and others. It is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the label Balaji Motion Pictures. The movie was released on August 25, 2023.

As long as it was about me, I was okay but now the hate is coming to my kids. This is so shocking and disgusting. I have decided to part ways with Armaan for the same reason. He can stay with Kritika while I’ll take care of the kids,” Payal told her followers.

While the influencer asserted that they have faced trolling before, she also maintained  that she cannot keep subjecting their children to this. Stating that Armaan can continue living with Krithika, Payal added, “I know Golu won’t stay without Zaid so probably she can keep him and I’Il leave with my three kids. People are not happy with her polygamy and can no longer take the hate. It is pissing me off like anything. Either all three of us get separated, or two of us get separated, or I walk away. This can turn out only like that. They don’t know what’s transpiring outside. I know what’s happening, I’ve never faced so much hate, so much trolling, so many abuses in my life. My decision is confirmed. We can’t subject our children to this. Which parents can afford that.”
