Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has started shooting for her big action entertainer, the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha which she is headlining, earlier this week. We now have visuals confirming the development here as Alia was snapped on the sets of Alpha.  After checking with sources close to the production, we can confirm that this is not Alia’s look in the film. Alia was clicked from afar while she was walking into the heavily guarded set early this morning!

To portray this formidable character, she’s undergone a rigorous two-month training program with specialists. Earlier this month, while announcing the title, YRF confirmed that the shoot has officially commenced.

While plot details remain tightly guarded, a source revealed that director Shiv Rawail has meticulously planned several fight sequences for the initial leg of filming. The action doesn’t end in Mumbai. The two actresses’ spy mission will take them on a global adventure, with the United Kingdom as their next destination. There, they will be joined by veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who takes on the role of their mentor.

Billed as the first female-led YRF Spy Universe film, Alia plays a super-agent in Alpha. It is being directed by Shiv Rawail, who has previously helmed YRF’s globally hit and unanimously acclaimed Netflix series The Railway Men inspired by the events of the tragic Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

The YRF Spyverse has only delivered blockbusters so far with titles such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3. The other film currently in production from the YRF Spy Universe is War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan & NTR Jr.

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez finds herself once again in the crosshairs of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a Rs. 200 crore money laundering case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She has been summoned for questioning on July 10, marking her sixth appearance before the agency.

As per several reports, the ED alleges that Chandrashekhar, posing as a high-ranking government official, extorted money from high-profile individuals, including the wives of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh and Malvinder Singh, of approximately Rs. 200 crore. The ED alleges that Chandrashekhar used this allegedly ill-gotten money to shower Fernandez with expensive gifts, including designer bags, jewellery, and gym wear.

As per PTI, Fernandez has maintained her innocence throughout the investigation, claiming she was unaware of Chandrashekhar’s alleged criminal activities.  However, the ED’s charge sheet, filed in 2022, paints a different picture.  accuses Fernandez of “enjoying valuables, jewellery and costly gifts provided by Mr. Chandrashekhar despite knowing about his criminal antecedents.”

Aman Nandrajog, the counsel for Fernandez, refrained from commenting on the new questioning by ED.

The tale of Bhool Bhulaiyaa is getting a fresh chapter, and this time, the thrills and chills are headed to the historical town of Orchha in Madhya Pradesh. After a brief hiatus for Kartik Aaryan’s other project, Chandu Champion, the team has regrouped, ready to unleash the scares (and laughs) with the film’s final shooting schedule. Kartik has shed his playful persona to embrace the role of Rooh Baba once more. He’s joined by Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. Notably, Vidya Balan, who left audiences spellbound with her portrayal of Manjulika in the first film (2007), is expected to join the cast this week.

According to a report in Mid-day, director Anees Bazmee embarked on a meticulous scouting mission across Madhya Pradesh in June. After careful consideration, Orchha emerged as the perfect setting for the film’s final act. The town boasts breathtaking natural beauty, alongside ancient palaces and monuments that resonate with historical significance.

On July 3rd, the cameras started rolling once again, capturing the essence of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The first leg of the two-week schedule unfolded at the picturesque Kanchan Ghat, nestled along the serene Betwa River. Last week, the team shifted gears, filming dramatic scenes at the Ram Raja Mandir, with Aaryan, Dixit, and Rajpal Yadav leading the charge. Currently, the focus is on capturing the romantic essence of the story with Aaryan and Dimri filming a song and other tender scenes at the breathtaking Jahangir Mahal. The grand finale, however, promises an explosive culmination, bringing all four lead actors – Aaryan, Dimri, Dixit-Nene, and Balan – together.

The first film (2007) transported audiences to the vibrant hues of Jaipur and the historical grandeur of Hampi. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) opted for a more urban landscape, filmed primarily in Mumbai and Lucknow. This time, the story embarks on a journey from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the historical echoes of Kolkata, finally settling in the captivating town of Orchha. The production team is currently residing at the Orchha Palace Hotel and Convention Centre.

Speaking about the location choice, producer Bhushan Kumar highlights the significance of filming at iconic landmarks like Orchha Fort and Ram Raja Mandir. He emphasized, “These settings not only offer beautiful backgrounds, but also bring an authentic charm to the story. These historical landmarks add to the cultural richness of every scene.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will release in cinemas during Diwali 2024.

On Tuesday, Prime Video announced the exclusive world premiere of its highly anticipated Original movie Superboys of Malegaon at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival At TIFF 2024, the audience will be treated to an exclusive world premiere of Superboys of Malegaon at the festival’s Gala event on September 13. Having acted with some of the megastars in the industry like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, among several others, actress Himani Shivpuri has seen the Indian film industry evolve over the years. While actors do have a much smoother ride in terms of shoots and facilities in the current generation, courtesy their entourage, many of the older generation actors have also pointed out the cons, which is most likely the tendency to overly be dependent on them. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Himan Shivpuri addressed one such point.

Himani Shivpuri recalls an Anurag Kashyap interview she watched recently.

During the Rapid-Fire round with Bollywood Hungama, Himani Shivpuri was asked about the one thing she would like to change about Bollywood culture currently. It is at this time did she recall a recent Anurag Kashyap interview she came across. She said, “Yesterday I was just watching an interview of Anurag Kashyap where he said, ‘A star’s makeup man charges one lakh rupees’. I would like to change that culture. I mean, it should be reasonable because this is a bit too unreasonable.”

She continued on the subject and added, “Why can’t we be simple like Hollywood yaar. Itne bade bade stars hain (They are such huge stars). They don’t have such an entourage, there is this bus type where the food is served like a buffet and sab khud khana khaate hai (everyone eats with everybody else and on their own). Hum toh itne bigde hue hain ki driver gaadi chalata hai, magar woh toh khud hi apni gaadi chalata hain (We are so spoilt that our driver drives the car for us but they don’t do that, they drive their own car). That sort of thing should be there. Why should the producer be taxed and he would take it out on people like us! Humare liye budget kam hota hai (Our budgets get slashed because of this).”

Actress Urvashi Rautela, known for her roles in films like Singh Saab The Great and Sanam Re, was recently hospitalized in Hyderabad after sustaining a fracture during the shooting of her upcoming Telugu film, NBK 109.

Fracture Sustained During Action Sequence
As per a report by Free Press Journal, a press statement issued by Rautela’s team confirmed that the actress suffered a “terrible” fracture while filming a high-octane action sequence. The statement further revealed that she is currently hospitalized and receiving medical attention.

According to reports, Rautela had recently arrived in Hyderabad to participate in the third filming schedule of NBK 109. Details regarding the nature of the accident and the severity of the fracture are awaited.
NBK 109: A Tentatively Titled Action Drama
NBK 109, which is currently the film’s working title, began production in November 2023. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the movie features an ensemble cast, including Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, and Rautela. Music for the film is composed by Thaman S. An official release date for the movie has not yet been announced.
Urvashi Rautela’s Upcoming Projects
Despite the setback, Rautela has a busy slate of upcoming films. These include action films like Baap co-starring Sunny Deol, Mithun Chakraborty, and Sanjay Dutt, and Inspector Avinash 2 alongside Randeep Hooda. She will also be seen sharing screen space with Dulquer Salmaan in an as-yet-untitled project.

The political thriller, The Sabarmati Report, starring Vikrant Massey, Raashi Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra, finds itself in turbulent waters yet again. Originally slated for a theatrical release on May 3, 2024, the film has faced multiple postponements, reshoots, and a significant change in its directorial helm.

The initial delay was attributed to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which advised the filmmakers to push the release date until after the elections. The CBFC’s concern was rooted in certain scenes that could potentially offend a segment of the audience, given the sensitive political climate. Consequently, Bollywood Hungama reported that the film’s release was rescheduled for August 2, 2024. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The makers are looking at a new release date. The film is now expected to release in September or October 2024. The makers will announce the new release date in a week or two. The exhibitors, too, would be informed about The Sabarmati Report’s postponement.” However, fans were met with disappointment as this date too was rendered invalid due to further unforeseen circumstances.

According to a new report in Peeping Moon, The Sabarmati Report is currently undergoing reshoots, and the production team is making significant alterations to the film. The most notable change is the replacement of the original director, Ranjan Chandel, with Tushar Hiranandani. This decision by producer Ekta Kapoor has raised eyebrows and sparked conversations across the industry.

As per the report, sources reveal that the decision to replace Chandel stemmed from creative differences between him and Ekta Kapoor. Chandel was reportedly not in favour of the reshoots and the addition of new scenes proposed by the producers. This led to a series of creative disagreements, making it challenging for Chandel and Kapoor to find common ground.

“The idea of reshooting and adding new scenes to the movie did not sit well with Chandel, which resulted in creative disagreements with the producers. Due to their radically different sensibilities, Ekta and Chandel were unable to come to an understanding for this movie. Thus, Ekta consulted the actors, received their consent, and brought aboard Tushar Hiranandani to finish the film,” said a source close to the development.

Tushar Hiranandani, who recently helmed the box office hit Srikanth starring Rajkummar Rao, has taken on the challenging task of reshaping The Sabarmati Report according to Kapoor’s vision. Hiranandani has already shot for 7-8 days, including additional footage and necessary patchwork to align the film with the producers’ expectations.

In April 2024, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that The Sabarmati Report won’t be able to make it in cinemas on May 3. A source told us, “The Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) Examining Committee saw the film and had objections to certain scenes. Also, fearing that it might violate the model code of conduct as laid down by the Election Commission of India, it has been advised that it should be released after the last phase of elections, which will take place on June 1.”

It is a political thriller about two reporters investigating the burning of the Sabarmati Express at Godhra on February 27, 2002. It is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan.

The video, which falsely represents Bhuvan urging people to invest in tennis through a certain bookie’s predictions, has prompted a swift response from his team. Recently, deepfake videos have gained popularity, leading to significant losses and inconvenience for many.

Bhuvan’s team quickly took action and filed a formal complaint at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai, bringing attention to the misleading and scandalous nature of the deepfake video. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Bhuvan Bam addressed the issue directly, urging people to be cautious. He said, “I want to alert all my fans and followers about a deepfake video of me that is making rounds on social media. This video is completely fake and misguided, encouraging people to invest in tennis through predictions by a certain bookie. My team has already filed a complaint with the Oshiwara police station, and they are investigating the matter. I humbly request everyone not to fall for this video. Please stay safe and avoid making any investments that might lead to trouble or financial loss. It’s crucial to be vigilant and not get trapped by these deceitful baits.”

Deepfake technology has been increasingly used to create realistic yet fake videos, often leading to misinformation and causing distress to the individuals involved. In the past, numerous celebrities from both Hollywood and Bollywood, such as Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Rashmika Mandana, among others, have faced similar issues and have spoken out against it.

It seems that Fatehi dropped a message in the WhatsApp group she shares with the musicians Aujla and Badshah. This prompted more questions from the interviewee who was curious to know about this group.

Although Nora refrained from sharing details including the name, the actress did drop a hint about the collaboration. She said, “I can’t tell you because if I tell you I will have to expose the name of the project and I don’t want to do that. But, I have to tell you guys that this project with Karan and Badshah is fire. FIRE!!!” However, it seems that fans will have to wait for some time before this ‘project’ is released. While Nora revealed that all of this is still pretty new, the actress-dancer did stress that she has been asking them to kick start the ‘video. “We just made the group. We are going to shoot the video soon. We are just planning that”.

Veteran Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir has sparked controversy by claiming that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan copied his work in the 2006 film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Nasir, a respected figure in Pakistani entertainment, alleges a lack of credit for his inspiration behind Khan’s character in the Karan Johar-directed film.

Tauqeer Nasir expresses disappointment over uncredited Inspiration
Nasir, a recipient of prestigious awards like the Pride of Pakistan and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, expressed his disappointment in a recent interview on YouTube channel Zabardast With Wasi Shah. He acknowledged Shah Rukh Khan’s talent but lamented the lack of recognition for his own contribution.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Parwaaz: A connection claimed
Nasir pointed towards a direct connection between his character in the Pakistani drama serial “Parwaaz” and Shah Rukh Khan’s role in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. He claime, “Even the detail of an injured leg, depicted in the film, was borrowed from my portrayal in the drama.”

Taking his claim a step further, Nasir argued that Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna itself drew inspiration from the story of Parwaaz, written by renowned author Mustansar Hussain Tarar. He believes that both SRK and filmmaker Karan Johar should have acknowledged their inspiration by crediting him and Tarar.

Released in 2006, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a romantic drama featuring an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and Kirron Kher. The film delves into themes of marital infidelity and complexities within relationships.
