BREAKING: Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha postponed; expected to release in second half of July

It has come to light that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha won’t be released on July 5 as planned. The Ajay Devgn-Tabu starrer has been pushed forward possibly due to the super success of Kalki 2898 AD.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Kalki 2898 AD had a strong weekend and is holding very well on the weekdays as well. Hence, it is also expected to perform well in the second weekend. If Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha releases this Friday, it’ll lead to screen-sharing issues and both films will be affected. And the exhibitors, too, would have suffered. Hence, in the larger interest of the trade, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has been postponed”

When asked when the mature love story will be released in cinemas, the source replied, “The makers will take a call soon. It’ll mostly come in the second week of July. It is said that the makers are also eyeing August 2.”

This means that Kill will be the sole Hindi release of the week. It is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment and has fetched great reviews during its festival run. As for Hollywood, Despicable Me 4 will try its luck in cinemas.

An exhibitor said, “It’s good that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha gets pushed. This Friday, it would not have done as per its potential as Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable.”

Another theatre owner, however, rued, “We were all requesting the industry to release films in April and May. Our pleas fell on deaf ears. And now there are multiple releases every week. We hope the industry realizes the importance of spacing out releases, so that such a situation can be averted.”

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari. It is written and directed by Neeraj Pandey and its music is by Oscar-winning music composer M M Kreem.

Kareena Kapoor Khan backs Indira IVF initiative; to lead fertility awareness campaign for new couples

Furthering the mission to offer a future filled with hope for couples experiencing infertility, Indira IVF has launched its new awareness campaign, #IVFkiPehel. An initiative that will emphasize the crucial role of seeking guidance from fertility specialists, guiding couples through the often-challenging path to parenthood with expert advice and support.

Low awareness about fertility issues and treatment options remains a significant challenge for many individuals and couples worldwide. Despite advancements in medical technology making fertility treatments more accessible and efficient, a lack of awareness often leads to delayed or missed opportunities for seeking help. This can prolong the emotional and physical strain experienced by those struggling to conceive.

This campaign embodies the essence of ‘pehel’ – meaning ‘taking the first step ‘- and urges couples to prioritize professional advice over myth-driven, outdated, or traditional fertility treatments.

With Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan leading the charge to dispel myths and motivate aspiring parents, this campaign will inspire countless individuals to seek the right guidance for fertility treatment.

According to the latest WHO report, infertility is a global crisis, with one in every six people struggling to conceive. This issue is especially alarming in India, where it poses a significant health threat to young people, particularly women of childbearing age. The last report by E&Y reveals that over 27.5 million Indians are currently affected by infertility, a figure projected to rise sharply. ‘The Lancet’ recently predicted a continued decline in India’s Total Fertility Rate (TFR), highlighting an urgent need to address infertility and increase public awareness about advanced treatment options. This trend threatens the country’s demographic future and underscores the critical need for immediate action.

#IVFkiPehel aims to educate about infertility and its treatments, emphasizing the importance of consulting fertility doctors early and getting timely checkups. By offering accurate information and support, it aims to change perceptions and motivate individuals to take the first step toward professional consultation and treatment. By stressing the importance of seeing fertility doctors early and getting the right checkup done on time, the campaign will empower couples to make informed decisions.

Kshitiz Murdia, CEO and Co-Founder, of Indira IVF, said, “Over the last two decades, the advancement in medical technologies has revolutionized fertility treatment, making it more achievable, accessible, and affordable than ever before. Currently, Indira IVF operates over 140 centers across, ensuring widespread access to comprehensive fertility care. This field has experienced tremendous growth, with futuristic technologies and advanced diagnostic tools significantly enhancing the chances of success. Our #IVFkiPehel awareness campaign will enlighten couples about these advancements and the right guidance from fertility specialists will successfully turn their parenthood dreams into reality.”

Sharing his thoughts behind launching #IVFkiPehel campaign, Nitiz Murdia, Co- Founder and MD, Indira IVF said, “Our goal in launching this campaign is to spread widespread awareness, reaching every corner of our country. We want everyone to understand that infertility is a medical condition requiring expert attention for timely treatment. We want our campaign to evolve scrietal attitudes towards fertility treatments and empower couples to seek the medical help they need without stigma or hesitation”

Speaking on her association with Indira IVF, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan said: “We think getting pregnant is so easy, but we don’t realize how many people men and women struggle with infertility. I was shocked to learn that 1 in 6 people face infertility today, with many unsure where to seek advice. Seeking a specialist’s help when struggling to conceive, which is such a major life milestone, seems crucial.”

Raising awareness about fertility issues feels like being part of a movement that’s truly touching lives. And joining hands with Indira IVF, an organization that has been pioneering infertility awareness and has helped more than 150000 couples realize their dreams of parenthood, has been an honour. I want to tell couples fighting infertility “IVF KI PEHEL KARO – take that crucial first step and seek expert medical help. I wish my voice for Indira IVF’s #IVFkiPehel helps in building awareness and encourages people to take the right step and seek professional support for infertility.”

Vicky Kaushal to team up with Karan Aujla for a Punjabi anthem in Bad Newz: Report

Vicky Kaushal’s fans are in for a double treat! Not only will they see the actor on the big screen soon, but they can also expect him to break into a dance with a brand-new Punjabi number. Known for his infectious enthusiasm and love for Punjabi music, Kaushal has collaborated with singer Karan Aujla for a party track in the upcoming film Bad Newz. This marks Aujla’s much-anticipated Bollywood debut after several viral hits over the past few years.

As reported by Mid-day, videos of Vicky Kaushal grooving to Punjabi songs like Karan Aujla’s ‘Softly’ have previously gone viral on social media, leaving netizens wondering when he would appear in a peppy dance number next.  Bad Newz seems to answer their prayers, with the upcoming release of the party track featuring Kaushal and Aujla. This collaboration promises to be a highlight of the film, especially considering Kaushal’s reputation as an “OG Punjabi munda” (original Punjabi dude). For the same anthem, Karan has arrived in India.

Over the past two years, Karan Aujla’s catchy verses and rhythmic flow have made him a sensation. His songs like ‘Try Me’, ‘Softly’ and many more have caught the attention of music lovers. He was most recently seen in two collaborations with Badshah – ‘God Damn’ and ‘Players’.

The buzz around Bad Newz has been growing steadily since the trailer’s release last week. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film is a rom com starring a fresh trio: Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The trailer’s quirky premise – Dimri’s character discovering she’s pregnant with twins from two different fathers, played by Kaushal and Virk – has piqued audience curiosity. Bad Newz will explore the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation, where twins are conceived from different fathers.

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is all set to hit theaters on July 19, 2024.

She further recalled, “He had a black Gypsy. But it was taken away one day because he couldn’t pay the EMI, or there was something. He came on our set very dejected. I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll have many more cars one day.’ And he still remembers that. Because it’s true. Look at him today.”

Jim Sarbh sets record straight about method acting comment, wasn’t targeting Ranveer Singh: “I only had lovely things to say about him as a co actor”

Actor Jim Sarbh on Saturday took to social media to clarify that his previous comments regarding actors and their flamboyant method acting techniques weren’t directed towards his Padmaavat co-star Ranveer Singh. This clarification comes after actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was questioned about those very remarks in a recent interview.

On Saturday, Jim Sarbh took to social media to clarify his stance. “I find this almost absurd to have to clarify, but since folks are running wild with the videos and the articles: Nothing I said refers to Ranveer Singh. The video byte being shared is from Made in Heaven season 2 promotions, 5 whole years since Padmaavat came out. 5 years. I only had lovely things to say about Ranveer as a co actor- look it up. I still do. Also: it is not an attack on process. I love process, and I love actors,” he wrote.

“The video is making fun of actors who exaggerate their process. I’m sure you’ve all met people who talk about their work more than do their work. Can’t wait for the next article or video shooting off my shoulder…. I usually don’t respond to speculative videos and articles, because they’re boring and I assume people know better. Of course, just like some of you, I assumed wrong. Too many people have forwarded me things, and now journalists/interviewers are ‘identifying’ me as a ‘critic’, despite me never having mentioned anyone at all, let alone @ranveersingh.,” he added and tagged Ranveer Singh with several emojis.

A post shared by Jim Sarbh (@jimsarbhforreal)

Jim Sarbh’s comments gained traction after actor Prashant Narayanan also appeared to mock Singh’s method acting approach for his role as the villain Khilji in Padmaavat. Singh famously spoke about isolating himself in his home to embody the character, sparking concerns about his mental state upon exiting that headspace. Both Sarbh and Narayanan expressed skepticism towards such an intense process.

In an interview with The Quint, Sarbh commented, “There are all those actors who are like ‘You know, I was so stuck in my character that I had to get mental therapy for weeks after.’ I was like, ‘Shut up bro. You didn’t even know your lines on the day, what nonsense’.” Social media users interpreted this as a veiled jab at Singh, prompting Sarbh’s clarification.
