Kill, starring the newest face of action Lakshya, is scheduled for theatrical release on July 5. It is not widely known that the actor has a wrestling background and underwent a rigorous 9-month training regimen for the film. Kill, starring Lakshya, will be released in Indian cinemas on July 5 2024.

The movie which previously premiered at the Toronto Film Festival has been praised critically for its gripping storyline and intense action sequences. Former high school wrestling champion Lakshya went on a transformative journey to portray the role of an elite commando in this action-packed movie. He dedicated himself to 8-9 months of intensive training, drawing on his wrestling background to enhance his performance.

This intense preparation not only shaped him into a versatile actor but also highlighted his commitment to authentically embodying the role. Reflecting on his journey, Lakshya emphasized, “Throughout this journey when I was like 17 – 18, I started off as a wrestler. I did a couple of wrestling during my school days and during this film as well we trained for eight or nine months consecutively. So of course, like a lot of training has gone into it.”

The recently released trailer of Kill narrates the story of a gripping struggle for survival on a fast-moving express train. Lakshya and his girlfriend, Tanya Maniktala, confront a harrowing assault by an armed group, while the tension escalates with the arrival of Raghav Juyal in the role of the antagonist. Lakshya plays a soldier fighting to protect his beloved from the group of goons.

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor is currently making headlines for his controversial upcoming film Hamare Baarah. Despite the film facing criticism before the release, the actor remains unfazed. The film is set to hit theatres nationwide on June 21. After the film received a green signal from the court, Annu Kapoor held a press conference with his entire team. During the same, he refused to recognize actress and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MP Kangana Ranaut.

During the press conference for Hamare Baarah, Annu Kapoor was asked about the ‘slap incident’ involving Kangana Ranaut, to which he claimed that he doesn’t know anyone of this name. He said, “Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?”

At this point, a media person informed him that Kangana recently won an election from Mandi and is now a newly elected MP. To this, Annu Kapoor gave a shocking reaction, saying, “Oh, she has become that too.” However, he stood by the actress and extended his support on the slap incident. A video of this press conference is also going viral on social media, sparking a wave of reactions from fans and critics alike.

For the unversed, Kangana was involved in a disturbing incident at Chandigarh airport. She was reportedly slapped by a CISF constable during a security check. Ranaut was on her way to Delhi for a meeting when the incident occurred.

Coming back to the film, Hamare Baarah’s release was halted. However, the Bombay High Court has cleared the way for the release. The court dismissed petitions challenging the movie, stating it found nothing objectionable in the film’s content that could be seen as offensive to the Muslim community or the Quran.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher’s office in Mumbai’s Veera Desai area was broken into by thieves on Wednesday night. The actor himself shared the news on his Instagram account on Thursday, detailing the incident and the stolen items.

According to Kher’s post, two thieves gained entry by breaking through two doors. They then stole the entire safe from the accounts department and a box containing the negative of a film produced by Kher’s company. Kher also mentioned in his post that the thieves likely couldn’t crack open the safe.

Anupam Kher’s staff promptly filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the police. Kher claims that CCTV footage captured the thieves leaving the office in an auto-rickshaw with the stolen items. The police have reportedly assured the actor of a swift investigation and the apprehension of the culprits.

In an interview with NDTV India, Isha Koppikar recalled the same and said, “I was 18 when a secretary and an actor approached me for casting couch. They told me that to get work, you have to be ‘friendly’ with actors. I am very friendly, but what does ‘friendly’ mean? I am so friendly that Ekta Kapoor once told me to have some attitude.”

A couple of years ago, Isha Koppikar had opened up about how a ‘hero’ had invited her to meet him along without her staff. He said, ‘There are already controversies about me, and the staff spreads rumours.’ But I refused and told him that I couldn’t come alone. He was an A-list actor from the Hindi film industry.”

We’ll find something that we want to work on together, and I’m sure we will.” He continued, “You just have to find something that you can connect on with somebody,” and assured fans by adding, “100 percent.”

Farhan Akhtar recently celebrated 20 years of his second directorial Lakshya starring Hrithik Roshan. The filmmaker-actor, who dons multiple roles with ease, is said to have started work on the ambitious Don 3 as the expectations are riding high on the movie. With Ranveer Singh donning this hat for the first time, and with Kiara Advani being roped in as the leading lady, this will also mark their first collaboration on screen.

Besides this, Farhan Akhtar also has the highly anticipated Jee Le Zaraa. Although the film was announced three years ago in 2021, the film’s schedule has been pushed multiple times. Featuring a female-led cast of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, it is expected to be a road-trip drama but due to dates co-ordination, the film has not yet been able to take off.
