Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to express strong disapproval of Apple’s recent partnership with OpenAI. Musk’s criticism centres on potential security vulnerabilities and privacy issues arising from the collaboration.  He referred to the deal as an “unacceptable security violation” in one of his tweets.

Further explaining his point, Musk shared a meme from the 2017 Tamil film Thappattam. The meme depicts a man and woman sharing coconut water, symbolically representing the potential data exchange between Apple and OpenAI that could compromise user privacy.

Elon Musk questions Apple’s AI Capabilities

Musk also questioned Apple’s decision to rely on OpenAI instead of developing its own artificial intelligence (AI) software.  He argued that Apple’s lack of in-house AI development makes it unlikely they can ensure user privacy when depending on OpenAI.

The business magnate went a step further, threatening to ban Apple devices at his companies – Tesla, SpaceX, and others – if the integration occurs at the operating system level. He expressed concerns about data security and proposed a solution of storing visitor Apple devices in Faraday cages to prevent data transmission.

It’s important to note that Apple, at its recent World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), announced “Apple Intelligence” – a suite of on-device AI features. They also revealed plans to integrate GPT-4 technology within Siri for an enhanced chatbot experience.

Prime Video announced the commencement of filming for its upcoming crime thriller, Matka King. Produced by multiple National Award winners Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nagraj Manjule along with Gargi Kulkarni, Ashish Aryan, and Ashwini Sidwani, under the banner of Roy Kapur Films, the series is directed by Nagraj Manjule and written by Abhay Koranne, along with Manjule. Currently in production, the series will be available to Prime members in over 240 countries and territories upon its release.

Headlined by Vijay Varma, Matka King is a fictional tale set in 1960s Mumbai, where an enterprising cotton trader who craves legitimacy and respect starts a new gambling game dubbed ‘Matka’. This game takes the city by storm, democratizing a terrain previously reserved for the rich and elite. The series also features an exciting ensemble cast including Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover and Siddharth Jadhav in pivotal roles.

For the unversed, Matka King was announced this year in March. The announcement post of the same read, “An enterprising cotton trader in Mumbai starts a new gambling game called Matka, taking the city by storm and democratizing a terrain previously reserved for the rich and elite.”

Bringing back the franchise of Ishq-Vishk with a Gen Z romance twist, a sequel to this romantic drama starring an extensive cast of Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal is all set to release in theatres this month. Titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, fans of the prequel can expect interesting references to the predecessor of the 2024 romantic drama including a possible cameo from the original Ishq Vishk boy Shahid Kapoor.

Recently, the entire cast and crew attended the trailer launch of Ishq Vishk Rebound in Mumbai wherein the director of the film has dropped a major hint about the appearance of the Haider actor in the film. When he was asked if Shahid Kapoor will be making a cameo in the upcoming teenage romance drama, Nipun Dharmadhikari, “You will know that on June 21.”

What is Ishq Vishk franchise all about?

The prequel Ishq Vishk released in 2003 which marked the acting debut of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao along with Shehnaz Treasurywala essaying the supporting role. The movie featured them in the role of college students, navigating through romance, friendship, and relationships as they discover the true meaning of love.

Now, 21 years later, Ishq Vishk Rebound will mark the debut of Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan and will feature popular actor Rohit Saraf as the leading man. Jibraan Khan, who essayed the role of the little Krish Raichand in the Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol starrer K3G, is also making a comeback with this entertainer. Naila Grrewal, who was recently in the Netflix series Maamla Legal Hai, too will be seen in a key role. Directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, the film is slated to release next week in theatres, on June 21.

Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is currently promoting his upcoming OTT release Bad Cop, recently addressed comments regarding the casting of Pankaj Tripathi in the cult classic Gangs of Wasseypur. For the unversed, actor Pankaj Jha had previously claimed Anurag had initially promised him the role of Sultan, ultimately played by Tripathi.

In an interview with India Today, Anurag clarified, “I don’t remember what exactly happened. But we were shooting for The Girl in Yellow Boots and he had moved to Osho in Pune to paint. We were supposed to start shooting for Gangs of Wasseypur and he (Pankaj Jha) was not available.”

Elaborating further, Anurag added, “We were on a tight budget and could not wait for him. We made the film in a very different condition and budget. Now, he may be thinking that after 20 years, he could have become Pankaj Tripathi.” He concluded by saying, “I have worked with him, and he has actually been my go-to actor. We worked in Gulaal and Black Friday. I would love to work with him again, but the fact is, he is not accessible at all.”

It’s important to note that Jha has denied making disparaging remarks about Pankaj Tripathi, who ultimately delivered a critically acclaimed performance as Sultan. Jha clarified to Indian Express that media reports misrepresented his comments, stating, “I never mentioned the name of any Tripathi.” He further said, “This news makes no sense. He (Pankaj Tripathi) is a very good friend of mine. We have worked together in films. He is my junior after all. He came much later, I have been in films for a very long time. Similarly, Anurag Kashyap is my friend. He is like a brother to me. We have worked together in films Gulal and Back Friday. Why will I go around talking ill about them? All these news of me calling him spineless are all things twisted and made up.”

Speaking of the professional front, Pankaj Jha is currently bagging praises for his performance in Panchayat season 3, while, as mentioned above, Anurag is awaiting the OTT release of his film Bad Cop. Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi is all set for the third season of his popular web show, Mirzapur. It is scheduled to start streaming from July 5.

The actress, who has been basking in the success of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, is reportedly expected to tie the knot with Double XL co-star Zaheer Iqbal, as per current reports. After her brother Luv Sinha and father Shatrughan Sinha, now it is Sonakshi Sinha herself who has reacted to these reports wherein she stated that she is used to such rumours doing the rounds.

Recently in an interview with iDIVA, Sonakshi Sinha addressed the ongoing rumours about her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal and said, “Firstly, it’s nobody’s business. Secondly, it is my choice, so I don’t know why people are so concerned about it. People ask me about my marriage more than my parents, so I find that very funny. Now, I am just used to it. It doesn’t bother me. People are curious, what can we do about it?” Reports stated that Sona will be tying the knot with Zaheer in an intimate ceremony on June 23 with the wedding being a two-day affair along with friends and family. It was also said that  the team of Heeramandi too will be attendance for the function.

Meanwhile, apart from Sonakshi, her brother Luv Sinha and father Shatrughan Sinha too have reacted to the rumours. Brother Luv Sinha told Hindustan Times, “I won’t be commenting. It’s better if you reach out to Sonakshi or the other person. All I can say is I have nothing to say on this matter.”  On the other hand, father Shatrughan Sinha, who is busy with his political commitments after his win in the recent Lok Sabha Elections, stated to Times Now, “I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven’t spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn’t told me anything about it. Main bhi utna hi janta ho jitna main media maine padha hai. If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings. We wish her all happiness always.”

South-Asian American actress Shezray Husain is excited for her debut in Disney + Hotstar’s latest series Gunaah. Shezray takes on the role of Divya in what promises to be a gripping and thrilling narrative. The web series is based on a Turkish drama Ezel and is streaming live on Disney+Hotstar. The show sees Shezray share the screen with fellow leading actors Gashmeer Mahajani and Surbhi Jyoti.

Shezray, a talented actress with a rich background in theatre and commercial work, landed the role of Divya through a rigorous audition process. Her journey included multiple rounds of auditions and an in-person reading that secured her position in the cast. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Shezray has always had a passion for acting. She began her acting career in theatre during her schooling years and further honed her craft by attending acting and improv workshops in the United States.

Shezray shared, “I am thrilled to make my debut in such a compelling series like Gunaah. The entire experience, from the auditions to working on set, has been incredibly rewarding. I hope the audience connects with Divya and enjoys the series as much as we enjoyed making it.”

While Shezray didn’t need to learn any entirely new skills for her role in Gunaah, she dedicated herself to honing her acting abilities. Although Hindi is not her first language, Shezray dedicates herself in perfecting her diction to deliver authentic performances on screen.

Before her Bollywood debut in Gunaah, Shezray worked on various notable projects in India. She has appeared in advertisements for leading brands such as Samsung, LG, Parachute, and Maybelline. She also starred in a music video for Cancer Awareness by Shaan. However, Gunaah marks her first major on-screen project in India, showcasing her talent to a broader audience.
