Legendary actress Sridevi, whose talent and beauty captivated audiences for decades, continues to be honored even after her passing in 2018. In a heartwarming tribute, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has renamed a junction in Lokhandwala Complex as ‘Sridevi Kapoor Chowk’.

Reportedly, this particular location held special significance for Sridevi. Not only did she reside at the Green Acres building on the same road, but her funeral procession also passed through this area. The decision to rename the junction reflects the deep respect and admiration the local community holds for the actress, with both residents and the municipality advocating for this special recognition.

While the ‘Sridevi Kapoor Chowk’ is a touching tribute, discussions about a biopic exploring the actress’ life have also sparked interest. However, her husband, Boney Kapoor, has expressed reservations about the project, citing Sridevi’s private nature. In an interview with DNA, he said, “She was a very private person, and her life should remain private. I don’t think there ever will be. Till the time I live, I will not allow this to happen.”

Besides these, Sridevi also made headlines recently as Airbnb included the mansion, bought by the late actress, in its list of 11 Icons properties that people can now rent out. “My most cherished childhood memories are of spending summers with my family at our coastal oasis in Chennai, India. This home has always felt like a sanctuary, and I want to share that same feeling with my fans. Which is why for the first time ever, I’m opening our home up to a few guests to have the full Kapoor family experience. That means a lot of relaxing—eating South Indian food, doing yoga, and trying my mother’s natural skin care recipes. I can’t wait to share it all with you,” Janhvi told to Airbnb.

Suhana Khan was spotted at Agastya Nanda’s residence in Mumbai on Friday night. The Archies co-stars are also rumoured to be dating, although the rumoured couple possibly gathered to just hangout and have dinner. The duo was tagged along by Agastya’s sister Navya Naveli Nanda who is also known to be Suhana’s childhood friend.

Apart from the trio the get together was also attended by Zoya Aktar, Kajal Anand, Vikram Phadnis and Nitasha Nanda. The paparazzi caught a glimpse of the trio outside Agastya’s residence wherein both Suhana and Agastya wore a cool casual outfit and Navya rocked a white top with black jacket and black pants.

For the unravel, Agastya and Navya are the grandchildren of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and children of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda whereas Suhana is the daughter of Bollywood’s romance king Sharukh Khan and Gauri Khan.

Suhana and Agastya made their acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies released on November 22, 2023, on Netflix. The musical film also starred Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Aditi Dot and Yuvraj Menda. The film revolves around the theme of friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and uprising.

The rest was a lot of just passion… I may have been as sincere as I was. But what happens when you don’t have people who are in powerful positions like that? On May 10, Prime Video announced the global streaming premiere of the action-thriller film Yodha, which marked the first co-production between Prime Video and Dharma Production. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna, the thrilling action-drama is directed by the debutant director duo of Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.

Speaking of the film. Yodha follows the story of a formidable soldier, Arun Katyal (played by Sidharth Malhotra), leading an elite task force that is called upon to handle situations and missions no one else can. But when a mission goes horribly wrong, the blame is pinned on Arun, and he’s relieved from duty. Years later, when he finds himself on a flight that is hijacked mid-air, suspicion looms over his presence on the passenger list. Delhi Police’s investigation into the matter has uncovered Singh’s frequent use of credit cards, with sources indicating that he maintained over 10 bank accounts for his financial activities.

Sources within the police department reveal that Gurucharan Singh, amid financial constraints, relied heavily on credit cards and conducted transactions across numerous bank accounts. It is reported that Singh resorted to withdrawing cash and using credit cards to settle balances, indicating a complex financial situation. The investigation further discloses that Singh withdrew a sum of Rs. 14,000 from an ATM before his disappearance, with no subsequent information available.

Considering Singh’s disappearance, his family and close associates have provided insights into his recent behaviour. Reports suggest that Singh had been delving into spirituality in the period leading up to his disappearance. His sudden vanishing act has left his family distraught, with his father expressing deep concern and the family eagerly awaiting updates from the police. Singh’s father, Hargit Singh, shared his anguish, stating, “What has happened is very shocking, we don’t know how to deal with it. Hum sab bahut pareshaan hain (We are very troubled) and are eagerly waiting for some update from the police. Hum uske wapas aane ka intezaar kar rahe hain (We are awaiting his return).”

The mystery surrounding Gurucharan Singh’s disappearance deepens as details of his financial situation come to light. Ever since the first announcement of Sanki has happened there has been a lot of buzz about the unusual pair of Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala plans to kickstart the schedule on 6th June with a special action-designed sequence with an international designer Kecha Khamphakdee.

A source close to the development added, “The team is all set to kickstart a week-long Mumbai schedule with a lot of action sequences designed by Kecha and then followed by a Goa schedule. The duo’s chemistry is anticipated to sizzle on screen, adding an extra layer of excitement to the project.” It is going to be a very different world of Sanki which the audience will experience with this film.”

Sanki is poised to be a high-octane thriller, promising audiences a rollercoaster ride of adrenaline-pumping action sequences and gripping drama. Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana have signed on for the highly anticipated sequel, Border 2, as per the latest report by PinkVilla. The film is set to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Singh. The forthcoming film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, is slated for release on January 23, 2026, coinciding with Republic Day weekend.

Explaining the reason, the report mentioned that the decision to release Border 2 on Republic Day weekend was a strategic one, considering the film’s theme of celebrating the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. The producers believe that this date will be fitting for the film’s release and resonate strongly with audiences.

“Border 2 has been in the writing stage for over a year now and the team has cracked a script that stands to the expectations that people would have from a sequel to a mammoth all-time blockbuster like Border. Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana are very excited to embark on this journey by the end of this year,” a source told the portal.

The source further added, “A film of this canvas requires massive pre-production and the idea is to get some of the top talents from across the globe on board Border 2. All the stakeholders are well versed in the fact that Border is not just a film but an emotion and will be going all out to deliver an honest film to the audiences. It’s going to be the Biggest War Film of India.”

Despite the absence of an official announcement, Border 2 has already generated significant buzz among audiences. The sequel’s release date, January 23, 2026, holds additional significance as it coincides with the 29th anniversary of the original Border, released on June 13, 1997.
