Actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday have reportedly ended their relationship, according to a recent Times of India report. A close friend of the couple is quoted as saying that they had been dating for “almost two years” and the break-up “came as a shock to all of us.”

The report also stated that they remain cordial and are “trying to move on” from the situation. Ananya has reportedly found solace in spending time with her new pet. The news comes after weeks of speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship status.  Last month, a cryptic post on Ananya’s Instagram story fuelled rumors of a split.

Previously, Aditya and Ananya made headlines for their vacations together in Spain and other locations. They were frequently spotted out and about in Mumbai, and Ananya even playfully referred to herself as “Ananya Coy Kapur” on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. While both actors have previously addressed the media regarding public scrutiny of their personal lives, they have chosen to keep the specific reasons for their split private.

On the professional front, Ananya was last seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, a Netflix film. She has a bunch of projects in her kitty including Control, a Vikramaditya Motwane directorial, and Call Me Bae, an Amazon Prime Video original show.

Meanwhile, Aditya’s last on-screen appearance was the second part of The Night Manager’s first season. The show also featured Sobhita Dhulipala and Anil Kapoor. He will be next seen in Metro Inn Dino, sharing the screen space with Sara Ali Khan.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is set to light up the red carpet at the prestigious Met Gala 2024. This marks Bhatt’s second appearance at the highly anticipated fashion event, making her one of the select few Indian celebrities to grace the prestigious gala.

According to India Today, while details about the designer remain under wraps, anticipation is high for Bhatt to deliver another unforgettable fashion moment. News of Bhatt’s attendance sent a wave of excitement through her fans and the fashion world alike. Paparazzi captured the actress at Mumbai’s Kalina airport on Saturday, May 4, as she departed for New York City, the host city of the Met Gala.

The 2024 theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The official dress code is “The Garden of Time”. The theme is inspired by a 1962 story. It’s open to interpretation, but expect lots of flowers and plant-based outfits!

As per Vogue, “The exhibit will feature approximately 250 rare items drawn from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Spanning over 400 years of fashion history, the pieces will include designs by Schiaparelli, Dior, Givenchy, and more. Some garments that are too fragile to ever be worn again—such as a Charles Frederick Worth ball gown from 1877—will also be displayed via video animation, light projection, AI, CGI, and other forms of sensory stimulation.”

This year, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth are the official co-hosts. They follow last year’s group of famous people, which included Penélope Cruz and Roger Federer. Vogue’s Anna Wintour has been running the Met Gala since 1995, making it the giant fashion party it is today!

Bhatt made her Met Gala debut in 2023, turning heads with a stunning Prabal Gurung couture creation. The renowned Indian designer crafted a couture masterpiece inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic bridal look for Chanel’s 1992 fall/winter collection. The ensemble perfectly captured Bhatt’s unique blend of elegance and grace.

Popular South Indian actress Nayanthara is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the highly anticipated film Toxic, starring Yash and directed by Geethu Mohandas. As per a report by PinkVilla, sources close to the production, director Geethu Mohandas and actor Yash have been in discussions with Nayanthara for the role of Yash’s sister in Toxic. These talks are said to be progressing positively.

“Nayanthara has shown her interest in doing Toxic and the logistics are being figured out at this point in-time,” a source revealed. “It’s a well-sketched character of a sister and suits her image of a strong woman. Nayanthara is impressed that Geethu Mohandas has written such a strong character for a female and she is connecting well with her vision.”

Both Geethu Mohandas and Yash are reportedly keen to have Nayanthara join the cast. “The talks are on, and the team is working collectively to get the logistics in place,” the source added. “If everything goes well, the makers will have Nayanthara on board in a fortnight.” However, the makers are yet to make an official comment on the same.

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that a few weeks back, Bollywood Hungama reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been roped in the Yash starrer. A source clued into the development, “It is a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on,” a source told us.

In its 75th year of partnership with India, UNICEF India today announced the appointment of one of the most iconic stars of Indian Cinema, Kareena Kapoor Khan as the organization’s National Ambassador. In her role, Kareena Kapoor Khan will support UNICEF India in furthering every child’s right to early childhood development, health, education and gender equality.

As UNICEF India’s Celebrity Advocate since 2014, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been a strong advocate for girls’ education, gender equality, foundational learning, immunization and breastfeeding. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Khan advocated for children’s learning and return to school once they reopened. She has been an instrumental support in several UNICEF’s global campaigns on #EveryChildRights.

On her conferment as UNICEF India National Ambassador, Kareena Kapoor Khan said, “There are few things as important as the rights of children, the future generation of this world. I am honoured to continue my association with UNICEF now as India’s National Ambassador. I will strive to use my voice and influence for vulnerable children and their rights, especially around early childhood, education and gender equality. For every child deserves a childhood, a fair chance, a future.”

In the same event, UNICEF India also announced the appointment of its first ever Youth Advocates, who are peer leaders and champions on issues like climate action, mental health, innovations and Girls in STEM. Between 16 to 24 years the four advocates have specific areas of interest. Gauranshi Sharma from Madhya Pradesh on right to play and disability inclusion, Kartik Verma From Uttar Pradesh on climate action and child rights advocacy, Nahid Afrin from Assam on mental health and early childhood development and Vinisha Umashankar, from Tamil Nadu is a budding innovator and STEM pioneer. These youth advocates are part of UNICEF’s global programme and join a cohort of more than 93 youth advocates have been appointed across the globe and are driving change on issues concerning children and young people.

Speaking on his appointment as youth advocate, Kartik Verma, said, “Youth can lead the change in India. As the UNICEF India Youth Advocate, I will use my voice to amplify concerns and perspectives of children and young people especially those from marginalized and vulnerable communities to different stakeholders.”

Inspired by Faraz Ahsan’s acclaimed book ‘First Copy’, the narrative unfolds against the backdrop of Gujarat, where the fake IPL unfolded, drawing the attention of Russian gamblers. A group of people orchestrated a fake IPL tournament, for which they gathered large sums by fooling businessmen into investing in it.
