Farhan Akhtar, the filmmaker, is apparently going to “revive” Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra. Farhan declared his return to directing in 2021 with a slice-of-life road trip film. However, the film never took off due to schedule conflicts.

According to the latest Pinkvilla report, Farhan Akhtar and Excel authorities are looking into the possibility of restarting Jee Le Zaraa. “While Jee Le Zaraa was put on the backburner before proceeding to the pre-production stage, the team at Excel was continuing to give the final touches to the script. The film was put on the back burner due to date issues and not completely called off, as it’s a pet project for all the stakeholders – from the producers to writers and director. The script is completely in place and the team is now looking to revive the project,” according to a source.

The source continued, “During her visit to India, Farhan Akhtar met Priyanka Chopra as well to restart the conversation of Jee Le Zaraa. He has been in touch with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt too. The trio is working out on the combination dates with a positive intent of bringing the film back on track.”

Please do not engage and please “Report IT AS HACKED””. Rubina, who is often seen sharing her life updates on social media, left fans concerned with her new post.

While her social media followers showcased her support, some of them also revealed that they had realized about the hacked account after noticing some unlikely changes in her account profile. “We had guessed it right then after seeing your changed dp,” said one of the users, whereas another one also advised her to add better security for her account by stating, “Humko Pata hi tha (We knew it). The most versatile actor, Anil Kapoor was all set to feature alongside Ajay Devgn in the Luv Ranjan production, De De Pyaar De 2. The actor was to play the part of Rakul Preet Singh’s father in this romantic comedy, which would have pitted him in a fun banter with Ajay Devgn. The team was all set to take the film on floors by June 2024 but there occurred a sudden twist in the tale.

According to our reliable sources, a large chunk of the shoot for De De Pyaar De 2 overlapped with the shooting dates for Anil Kapoor in YRF Spy Universe Film. “Anil Kapoor wanted to do De De Pyaar De 2, but his commitment with YRF is long term, for multiple films in the fabled Spy Universe designed by Aditya Chopra. When he had to pick between the two, he chose to feature as the head of RAW in the upcoming Spy Films,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further informed us that June will also see Anil Kapoor shooting for his digital stint, Subedaar. “Subedaar is also there on the floors and Anil will have to shoot for the same in June and parts of July. There was a lot of overlapping and hence he decided to part ways from DDPD 2,” source told us further.

This isn’t the first project that Anil had to let go due to date issues. In the past, he also walked out of Welcome To The Jungle and Housefull 5 citing date issues. For those unaware, Anil Kapoor will feature in War 2 and Alia Bhatt’s Super Solider Film, and the actor is expected to shoot for his parts in both the YRF Spy Universe films in the second half of 2024.

Acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Charan Tej Uppalapati, who has explored writing and even production, is all set to make his Hindi directorial debut. In fact, the filmmaker has already kicked off on this venture which is expected to be a high-budget action thriller. The star-studded spectacle is said to feature an ensemble cast with the likes of Kajol, Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sen Gupta, and Aditya Seal.

Interestingly, the film will mark the much-awaited reunion of Kajol and Prabhu Deva after 27 years post their 1997 film Sapnay which was released in Tamil as Minsara Kanavu. As for their upcoming venture, the first schedule of the mass entertainer has been completed, and the makers are gearing up to release the film’s teaser soon. We caught hold of a few BTS photos of the two actors along with the rest of the team of the film.

Sources close to the film have stated that it is an ambitious venture for Charan Tej and that the action thriller has a team of top-tier technicians on board. We hear that the makers were keen on having a combination of a stellar cast and a strong technical crew to makes this action spectacle one of the most anticipated upcoming releases. However, the details of the characters essayed by the two actors are currently under wraps but fans of the two celebrities are thrilled at the opportunity to see them together.

While an official announcement about some more details of the project is expected to be made soon, speaking of the crew, the untitled film will have GK Vishnu as the director of photography, music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar, and editor Navin Nooli as a part of the technical team. The screenplay is penned by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana, whereas production designer Saahi Suresh will be crafting the visual aesthetics.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has not liked any of Natasa’s recently shared posts on her feed.

In a significant achievement for India at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, Chidananda S Naik’s film Sunflowers Were the First Ones to Know secured the first prize in the prestigious La Cinef section. Naik, a doctor-turned-filmmaker from Mysuru, created this film as part of his coursework at Pune’s Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). The film, inspired by a Kannada folk tale, narrates the story of an old woman who steals a rooster, showcasing Naik’s ability to blend traditional narratives with cinematic excellence.

This is the first time a film by a student from the 1-year Television degree has been chosen for the famous Cannes Film Festival.

The second prize was shared by Out of the Widow Through the Wall, directed by Asya Segalovich of Columbia University, and The Chaos She Left Behind, directed by Nikos Kolioukos of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. The third award in the La Cinef competition went to Mansi Maheshwari’s animated film Bunnyhood. Maheshwari, who was born in Meerut and a former NIFT Delhi student, made the film while attending the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom.

The Cannes Film Festival awards a 15,000 euro grant for the first prize winner, 11,250 euros for the runner and 7,500 euros for the third prize recipient.

The awarded films will be screened at the Cinema du Pantheon on June 3 and at the MK2 Quai de Seine on June 4.
