Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest-running TV shows in India. The comedy series that narrates the daily life of members of the Gokuldham society with a comic twist is one of the most loved shows in the country. The character of Dayaben essayed by Disha Vakani is among the most popular characters on the show because of her quirky personality. However, Disha Vakani has been missing from the screen for over four years now.

While there was always a glimmer of hope among fans that Disha Vakani will return to the show eventually, the show’s producer Asit Kumar Modi has finally confirmed that the show will see Dayaben later this year. Talking to E-Times he said, “We have no reason to not get back Daya Ben’s character. But we all have faced difficult times in the recent past. 2020-21 was a very tough phase for all of us. But now that things have got better, in 2022 koi bhi acche samay par we are going to bring back the character of Daya Ben and audience will once again get to see the entertainment of Jethalal and Daya Bhabhi”.

However, the producer said that they have not yet finalised who will be playing Dayaben. “I don’t know yet if Disha Vakani will be back as Daya Ben. We still have a very good relation with Disha ji, we are like a family. But now she is married and has a kid and everyone gets busy with their own responsibilities. We all have our personal life, so I won’t be able to comment on that. Lekin joh bhi Disha Ben or Nisha Ben but you will surely get to Daya Ben and we as a team will try our best to give the same entertainment that we gave you before,” he added.

Disha Vakani had gone on indefinite maternity leave in 2017. With her gone, the character of Dayaben was missing from the show. The actress has, however, not officially quit the show.

Tiger has shot for a very challenging and interesting schedule in Ladakh which requires a certain kind of physicality and training. Now he will get into the prep for Rambo and then he will get into Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Akshay Kumar.

Karan Johar will turn 50 on May 25. He will be throwing a grand bash to celebrate his 50th birthday in Mumbai. Earlier this year, Karan had hosted the 50th birthday party of his friend and CEO of Dharma Productions, Apoorva Mehta.

Karan Johar has booked Yash Raj Studios for May 25, staying away from the usual 5-star and 7-star parties. While the theme of the party is black and bling, the entire setup of the bash will be designed by Amrita Mahal, who has worked on creating the sets of films like Kalank, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Brahmastra, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

All the top names from the film industry are expected to celebrate the big day with Karan Johar. Dharma talents will also be seen at the grand bash.

On the work front, Karan Johar is busy with his upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The family-based romantic comedy features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in lead. The film is expected to be wrapped by October this year. Karan is also shooting for his popular chat show Koffee With Karan.

A song that divided the internet with some coming out in support of the song ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’ while some opposed it because of late Sidharth Shukla performing the song. It was noted that Twitterati expressed their rage at the actors for the release of the song.

Clearing the air the makers of the song have recently released a statement on their social media stating, “As the makers of the song Jeena Zaroori Hai, we are well aware of the ongoing rage amongst the fans about the release of the song. We want to inform you all that as the makers we take full responsibility of when, where, and with who we will be releasing the song. We would request the fans and media to keep the actors in the song away from the controversy as the artist has delivered their bit of fulfilling their work commitments and has nothing to do with the casting or release of the song whatsoever.”

They further stated, “We want to assure the viewers that we have not violated any norms and conditions whatsoever as the making and the release of the song has been executed with detailed evidence in terms of releasing the payments. Jeena Zaroori Hai has been shot and released keeping the public sentiments intact and giving most superiority to the memory of our beloved actor Sidharth Shukla.”

‘Jeena Zaroori Hai‘ features late Sidharth Shukla, Vishal Kotian, and Deepika Tripathy. It is directed by Bidyut Kumar, and produced by Ramesh Barik.
