After the release of the trailer of Dharma Productions’ JugJugg Jeeyo on Sunday, there was much buzz around the status of the rights of the song ‘Nach Punjaban’ which has been used in the film. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli in pivotal roles. On Sunday, the singer of the original ‘Nach Punjaban’, Abrar Ul Haq from Pakistan claimed that the song has not been licensed to anyone, and that he will be taking legal action against the producers of the film.

“I have not sold my song “Nach Punjaban” to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all.Song “Nach Punjaban” has not been licensed to any one. If someone is claiming it , then produce the agreement. I will be taking legal action,” Abrar Ul Haq tweeted on Sunday.

Responding to the accusations, the official music partner of JugJuggJeeyo, T-Series said that they had acquired the rights to the song in 2002. “We have legally acquired the rights to adapt the song #NachPunjaban released on iTunes on 1st January, 2002 & available on Lollywood Classics’ YouTube channel, owned by @1Moviebox, for #JugJuggJeeyo produced by @DharmaMovies. The song is available here,” they tweeted along with a detailed note.

“We have legally acquired the rights to adapt the song ‘Nach Punjaban’ released on iTunes on 1st January 2002 and is also available on Lollywood Classics’ YouTube channel, owned and operated by Moviebox Records Label, for the film JugJugg Jeeyo produced by Dharma Productions. All due credits shall be included across all platforms when song releases. As represented by Moviebox Records Label the said song copyrights exclusively vest with Moviebox only with all valid documents,” the note read.

Tom Cruise’s upcoming action flick Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One’s first trailer reportedly leaks ahead of its official release, with Paramount filing copyright infringement reports.

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the first full trailer for the seventh installment in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible franchise was briefly leaked to social media. Twitter was abuzz on Saturday afternoon after the apparent, and previously unreleased, Mission: Impossible 7 — Dead Reckoning: Part 1 trailer began to spread. A trailer for the film was screened at CinemaCon last month. Paramount Pictures does not appear to have officially released the two-minute spot online.

Twitter has now disabled the video in all the tweets that had the clip with a message reading, “This media has been disabled in response to a  report by the copyright owner.” As the report mentions, Cruise, whose Paramount film Top Gun: Maverick debuts on May 27, appeared in a video message that played during the studio’s CinemaCon presentation on April 28 where he announced the full name of the seventh Mission: Impossible film.

The star explained that he couldn’t attend the Las Vegas event in person due to filming overseas. “Wish I could be there with you,” he said in the video while being seated in an antique plane. “I’m sorry for the extra noise. As you can see, we are filming the latest installment of Mission: Impossible.” This will be the seventh chapter in the iconic Mission: Impossible franchise and the third directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, and Frederick Schmidt all reprise their roles from the previous films. Newcomers include Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, and Cary Elwes. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to be released in theaters on July 14, 2023. Paramount Pictures previously announced that Dead Reckoning Part Two arrives on June 28, 2024.

Dharma Productions unveiled the trailer of their family drama JugJugg Jeeyo on May 22 in a grand event in Mumbai. The film is headlined by Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli. Directed by Raj Mehta the film sees tells the narrative of two generations of spouses. It is a lighthearted drama about love and generational differences.

The makers have an elaborate plan to market the film which is all set to hit the theatres on June 24. The first film of the song titled ‘Dupatta’ will release on May 30. Going by the trailer, the film will be having some peppy tracks to which people can groove. The music of the film is composed by Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Kanishk Seth, Kavita Seth, Diesdy, and Pozy.

In the film, Anil Kapoor plays a self-obsessed Bheem, and Neetu Kapoor plays Geeta, who always hopes for her family’s happiness. Varun plays a Punjabi boy Kukku who loves to spend time with his friends and have a gala time. Kiara essays the role of Naina; Maniesh Paul plays the role of Gurpreet whereas Prajakta plays Varun’s sister Ginni.

Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger welcomed their second daughter over the weekend on May 21 and revealed her name on social media.

The couple took to their respective social media handles to share the news along with caption, “We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine and Chris.”

The baby, who was born Saturday, joins older sister Lyla, 21 months, being the second child for 41-year-old Pratt. The Guardians of the Galaxy star also shares son Jack with former wife actor Anna Faris. Pratt and Schwarzenegger became engaged in January 2019 and married in June of that year.

Meanwhile, Chris Pratt will next be seen reprising his role in the conclusion to Jurassic World film series, Jurassic World Dominion, bowing on June 10, 2022.

South Korean musicians V of the group BTS and Jennie of BLACKPINK have been swept up in dating rumours after an alleged photo of them together in Jeju Island surfaced online.

On May 22, following the rumours of Jennie and Big Bang’s G-Dragon’s break up, pictures of individuals resembling Jennie and V together started circulating online.

As Korean tabloid Soompi reports, a photo taken on Jeju Island featuring two individuals resembling Jennie and V recently spread on online communities, leading to rumors that the two are in a relationship. When reached out for a response by news outlets, Jennie’s agency YG Entertainment briefly commented, “We have nothing to say [regarding this matter],”

“We will inform you if we have a different response to share,” the agency added.

Moreover, V’s agency BIGHIT MUSIC did not comment regarding the rumors.
