Salman Khan has commenced shooting for the much-awaited entertainer, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in Mumbai from today, May 12. The superstar started the shoot at a location in Vile Parle on Thursday noon, and will be shooting until night. “A set up of a Metro train has been put up in the indoors of a factory. A big scale action block will be shot here,” revealed a source from the set.

According to the source, ever since Sajid Nadiadwala’s exit, Salman has been taking very close interest in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, to take things to the next level. “Salman is clear, he wants to mount Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali on a big scale. He will be shooting the action scenes first and then move on to the conversation scenes, as the stunts designed by a team from South, will also involve some use of VFX,” the source informed Bollywood Hungama.

While there is ample speculation on the cast of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, we have got some actual clarity on the same.. “The three key characters of this story are played by Salman Khan, Venkatesh and Pooja Hegde. The rest are all in supporting roles, and there is a big ensemble being put in place for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Apart from the trio, the others in cast include Aayush Sharma, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav and Zaheer Iqbaal,” said the source to Bollywood Hungama.

Salman will be shooting for the action scene over a period of 10 days in Vile Parle, following which he will be off to Dubai for IIFA Awards. He then resumes the film shoot at Mehboob Studios from the first week of June. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is planned as a December 30 release. The movie is directed by Farhad Samji.

In June 2022, the company will first launch with devotional channel across various digital platforms namely Youtube and Facebook, and also be available across various Audio OTT platforms like Spotify, Jio Saavn, Wynk, Gaana, Apple Music among others. The company has tied up with various artists for this new venture and has songs and bhajans sung by esteemed artists like SureshWadkar, Anup Jalota, Anuradha Paudwal, Sadhna Sargam, among others.

The company is currently also recording and shooting various Singles, in the nonfilm Hindi language. It should be well placed to launch Exclusive Singles Original Music Channel on various digital platforms in the month of August 2022. The songs are in the Hindi language and are under production and should be ready for release soon.

Going ahead the company’s management believes that the music business would add great value as it builds its catalogue assets in the coming years.

South Korean actors Nam Goong Min and Kim Ji Eun are gearing up to share screen together again along with Choi Dae Hoon, Lee Deok Hwa, and Park Jin Woo in a new law drama 1000 Won Lawyer (literal title).

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama 1000 Won Lawyer (literal title) is about troublemaker lawyer Cheon Ji Hoon who is extremely skilled but only charges 1000 won (around Rs.60) as his attorney’s fee. The refreshing law story follows Cheon Ji Hoon as he faces the rich who escape the law and lawyers with expensive fees.

Nam Goong Min will be joining his first SBS drama in two years as the most cost-effective legal hero Cheon Ji Hoon who people can meet for just 1000 won. Kim Ji Eun will be playing the role of Baek Ma Ri who is in the last stages of training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute to become a prosecutor. She is from a “royal family” among judicial circles with superb qualifications and a splendid future set out for her. The pair previously worked together in the drama The Veil.

Choi Dae Hoon will take on the role of prosecutor Seo Min Hyuk who is also from the judicial circles’ royal family. Returning to Korea after wrapping up two years of training at the Brooklyn district’s attorney office, he hopes to achieve his next life goal of marrying Baek Ma Ri and changing her family’s Law Firm Baek into Law Firm Baek&Seo.

Lee Deok Hwa will portray Baek Ma Ri’s grandfather and representative attorney Baek Hyun Moo who founded the large-scale Law Firm Baek. Meanwhile, Park Jin Woo will appear as Sa Moo Jang, the legal assistant who looks after Cheon Ji Hoon.

1000 Won Lawyer will premiere some time in 2022.

Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to be seen on screen together in the upcoming film Bheed directed by Anubhav Sinha. The two were last seen together in the film Badhaai Do which was released in theatres earlier this year. The duo will next be seen on the big screen on November 18. Sinha’s Bheed which had=s wrapped its shoot will hit the big screen on November 18.

Billed as a social drama, Bheed is jointly produced by Sinha and Bhushan Kumar, who formerly supported the filmmaker’s Thappad.

Talking about the film, Sinha had earlier said, “Bheed is one of those titles that the whole team jumps at the moment you propose it. To me, casting was crucial. Raj is a very intriguing actor. He is one of the very few actors who can be so successfully transparent in a story. There always was a keen desire to work with him and I am looking forward to it. I am honoured to have a solid collaborator like Bhushan on my side who is such a strong pillar and a sturdy sounding board.”

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is currently shooting for Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor. He will also be seen in the film HIT alongside Sanya Malhotra and the Netflix web series Guns and Gulaabs starring Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav. Bhumi, on the other hand, has Raksha Bandhan and The Lady Killer in the pipeline.

South Korean actor Woo Do Hwan and K-pop group Cosmic Girls (WJSN) member Bona are likely to share screen in upcoming historical webtoon-based drama Joseon Lawyer (literal title).

According to media outlet reports on May 9, Woo Do Hwan is currently in talks to play the male lead Kang Han Soo, a skilled Joseon-era lawyer. Kang Han Soo defends and completes the law in order to get revenge, but eventually becomes the people’s spokesperson and hero. As reported by Bona’s agency King Kong by Starship, Bona is also reviewing the offer for the role of female lead Lee Yeon Joo, a person who commissions a case in order to seek revenge. If she accepts, the role will also mark her first lead role on the small screen.

As Korean tabloid Soompi reports, based on a webtoon of the same name, Joseon Lawyer is a cathartic and warm drama following the story of the wicked lawyer Kang Han Soo, who files lawsuits that are previously planned and uses the feelings of wronged victims to his advantage, as he unintentionally becomes revered as a hero and a problem solver among the common people. Eventually, he matures to become a truly just lawyer. The drama uses the Gyeongguk daejeon (code of law from the late Goryeo and early Joseon Dynasties) as a motif, but the story itself is fictional. The multi-genre fusion history drama will combine elements of romance and revenge.

On the work front, Woo Do Hwan previously appeared in Sweet Stranger and Me, The Divine Fury, The King: Eternal Monarch and will also be starring in the upcoming drama Hunting Dogs. Meanwhile, Bona’s projects include Girls’ Generation 1979 and most recently played the role of Ko Yu Rim in the hit tvN drama Twenty Five, Twenty One.

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The trailer of the film which was released a couple of weeks back received a lot of love from the audience. The title track of the film, too, was equally well received by the audience. Now, the makers are all set to launch the song ‘De Taali’ from the film, a week before the film’s theatrical release.

For the launch of the song, Kartik and Kiara will be taking an adventure ride.  The duo along with the film’s director Anees Bazmee, producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani will be launching the song at Imagicaa Theme park. For the first time ever, a co-branded horror ride named on the forthcoming movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be seen.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav. The film is a sequel to the 2007 blockbuster starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. However, the second part is a completely new story with new characters. The film will be released on May 13.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding has been one of the most talked-about events of 2021. And why not? It deserved all the hype. It’s been 6 months since their much-hyped shaadi and now, the industry circles are talking about the couple going the family way.

If the buzz within the industry is to be believed, Katrina Kaif is expecting her first child soon. “Katrina and Vicky are expected to be parents soon, as the former is 2 months pregnant. The entire family is excited to welcome a new member to the family,” is the conversation that has been happening in the industry circles for the last few days.

That is not all, several producers, who had signed Katrina for their respective films, have been asked to reschedule their date diaries for the soon-to-be mother. Barring Merry Christmas, all her shoot commitments might be postponed to 2023. Her upcoming films ready for release include Phone Bhoot, Tiger 3, and Merry Christmas. 

Vicky on the other hand has Govinda Naam Mera, YRF film, and Raula under production.

Veteran Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey is all set to return to the big screen in 1242 – Gateway To The West, a film that will be available to buy at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The film will be the Oscar winning actor’s first major role since sexual assault allegations were brought against him in 2017.

According to Deadline, Kevin Spacey has been confirmed to star in historical drama 1242 – Gateway to the West, which will be on sale at Cannes Market. The film tells the story of Genghis Khan’s grandson Batu Khan, who was elected commander in chief of the western part of the Mongol empire. A skilled military commander, he won battles from China to Persia and was given responsibility for the invasion of Europe but in 1242 Khan is confronted by a deeply spiritual man and a castle in Hungary that halts his invasion of Europe and ultimately causes his downfall.

The UK/Hungarian/Mongolian co-production represents Spacey’s biggest feature to date since several people accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted advances in 2017. Also starring Eric Roberys, Christopher Lambert, Terence Stamp and newcomers Jeremy Neumark-Jones and Genevieve Florence, the film will be directed by Hungarian filmmaker Peter Soos with Aron Horvath and Joan Lane set to write the script. Principal photography will commence in October 2022 in Hungary and Mongolia on the shoot, Bill Chamberlain and Kornel Sipos to serve as producers. Executive producers are Istvan Bodzsar, Carlos Alperin, Norman Merry, Tim Smith, Paul Brett and Csaba Iski. The Mongolian co-producers are Bayar Banzragch and Battushig Batbold.

In 2017, 20 anonymous men reportedly accused Spacey of sexual misconduct during his time at the Old Vic Theatre in London between 1995 and 2013. Notably, Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp said that Spacey made a sexual advance towards him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26. Following the accusations, Spacy was dropped from his role as Frank Underwood on the hit Netflix series House of Cards and replaced by Christopher Plummer in Ridley Scott’s All The Money In The World. In the years since, Spacey has been practically blacklisted, although he has recently begun to appear in indie films like Franco Nero’s The Man Who Drew God.

Veteran actor Surendra Rajan who was last seen in Bachchhan Paandey and made a mark through his work in films like Munnabhai M.B.B.S, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, R.. Rajkumar, Phas Gaye Re Obama, Dhamaal and many more bids adieu with his last film Who Am I which is a philosophical drama that questions your own existence. The film will have its world premiere at the 24th UK Asian film festival in London. The 84-year-old actor traveled all the way to Madhya Pradesh in peak covid for the shoot of the film.

Helmed by 22-year-old director Shireesh Khemariya and produced by Shirish Prakash, the story is set in a small town on the banks of river Narmada which also features Panchayat actor Shashie Vermaa, Pagglait fame Chetan Sharma and debutante actress Rishika Chandani.

Talking about what prompted him to take up the role he says, “I’m playing a character of Narmada Parikrama Wasi, a person who is spending his old age time on the banks of river Narmada. At this age, it was like enlightenment to play such a character hence I gave it a nod. I left the film industry and started living in Himachal but the concept struck a chord in my heart so I decided to do the role and gave my all.”

Sharing his working experience he tells, “I was very much impressed by the title as its a very quintessential question we ask ourselves I.e Who Am I. I was in love with the script. I was very skeptical working at this age but when I saw this young crew showing so much of enthusiasm so I felt it becomes my duty to encourage them and support them. When they approached me, felt really good because its a very untouched subject.”

This film seeks to address all of the questions by showing how the main character Bhavitva goes on a journey of self-discovery and realizes his answers. The story will leave the audience with a new perspective on life.
