EXID’s Hani to star in coming of age series Fantasy Spot

South Korean singer actress Hani, member of female pop group EXID, is confirmed to star in new Coupang Play series titled Fantasy Spot. The drama is currently slated to premiere sometime later this year. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Fantasy Spot will tell the story of women in their twenties who want to “live properly” and “feel properly.”

On September 30, Hani’s agency Sublime Artist Agency officially announced, “Actress Ahn Heeyeon [Hani’s given name] has been cast in Coupang Play’s series ‘Fantasy Spot.’”

The statement continued, “Following the wide variety of roles she’s played in her projects up until now, she is preparing to make yet another new and different transformation, so please give her lots of anticipation and love.”

Per the report, Hani will star as Son Hee Jae, a young, warm-hearted woman who wants to get to know and understand herself properly. When she unexpectedly winds up in charge of a podcast, she finds herself changing as she contemplates love once again. Fantasy Spot is currently slated to premiere before the end of 2022.

Alia Bhatt opens up about her new range of maternity wear; reveals it’s a part of her apparel brand Ed-A-Mamma

Amidst the grand success of Brahmastra, new producer-entrepreneur Alia Bhatt has decided to add yet another feather to her cap. After launching the brand Ed-A-Mamma, which was solely dedicated to kids’ wear, the mother-to-be has launched her collection of maternity wear. In a recent post shared by the actress, announcing the launch of her maternity wear, she mentioned that she modified her own clothes to be her maternity wear because she believes there isn’t enough explored when it comes to maternity fashion. At the recent Forbes event Tycoons of Tomorrow, where Alia Bhatt was one of the speakers, the actress spoke about launching this new collection.

In the recent Forbes event, Alia Bhatt opened up about her ‘investor’ side where she spoke about her entrepreneurial skills and what pushed her to start her maternity line. “What started off as a gap in my wardrobe turned out to be a whole maternity line,” she said. She also revealed that she was wearing her own maternity line at the event. “These are really comfy lounge pants. It’s Ed-A-Mamma, Maternity Wear. This was like a lounge set but the layer was not making any sense. It was looking like I was coming to the lounge like a Forbes event. So I paired it up with this blazer which is not mine. But that’s what I discovered! The maternity wear was all a certain style which was screaming maternity. I wanted to bring my own style into it which is what I did,” added the actress.

Speaking of her forthcoming films, Alia Bhatt is currently gearing up for the release of her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone where she co-stars an ensemble cast including Gal Gadot. She also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, in the pipeline. Coming to Ed-A-Mamma, the actress will be launching the new collection of maternity wear on October 1.

Ajay Devgn attends the prestigious 68th National Awards ceremony; receives the award from honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu

Not too long ago, we reported that Ajay Devgn bagged the Best Actor award last year for his performance in one of the last releases before the pandemic Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, a historical drama inspired by real-life events. The actor recently attended the prestigious 68th National Awards ceremony that was held in Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi amidst dignitaries and politicians. He was presented with the award and certificate by none other than our Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

Speaking of the National Awards, Ajay Devgn received the Best Actor & Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film, which is also directed by Ajay himself, featured the actor in the titular character with his real-life wife Kajol also playing his reel life wife and Saif Ali Khan playing the role of the antagonist. The actor’s performance was highly appreciated by audiences and critics alike and now he had gone to receive the prestigious National Award for the third time. He posted the video with a caption saying, “Not counting the wins or the blessings, just feeling grateful for all of it. Most importantly, your love. I share this win with all of you ???? Honoured to receive my awards from the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu @presidentofindia @official.anuragthakur.”

Referring to his third National Award, Ajay shared about this honor on social media and posted a video. In the video, he has also added photos from the other films he has received National Awards for. It includes his 1998 release Zakhm which also starred Pooja Bhatt and Sonali Bendre as well as yet another historical drama, The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002, which featured him in the titular character. The film retells the story of one of India’s most respected freedom fighters.

On the film front, Ajay Devgn is currently gearing up for the release of Drishyam 2, a sequel to his 2015 superhit thriller. The film features him alongside Shriya Saran, Tabu, Ishita Dutta and is a remake of the Malayalam film by the same name that released in 2021. The Hindi version is expected to hit the theatres on November 18.

Kritika Kamra to get a spin-off in the sequel of Amazon Prime series Hush Hush?

The recently released mystery thriller, Amazon Prime series Hush Hush has been creating a lot of chatter. The series, which features some of the biggest 90s stars like Juhi Chawla and Ayesha Jhulka along with Soha Ali Khan as well as popular TV celebs like Kritika Kamra and Karishma Tanna, is regarded as a Whodunit. The suspense in the series is expected to leave the audience on the edge of their seats. Ending the season on a cliffhanger, Hush Hush leaves a lot of questions unanswered, hinting at the second season’s arrival soon, especially with a focus on Kritika Kamra’s character as Dolly.

For the uninitiated, Hush Hush is a story that revolves around five rich women who get involved in a heinous crime at a party one night. After the nail-biting climax at the season finale, the story would now take a turn with Dolly and her family’s internal struggle that reflects on the entire group. Hence, as the show proceeds with its next season, it is speculated to have Kritika Kamra leading the show with new twists and turns in Dolly’s life. A source close to the actress said, “From drama to politics, the second season will leave no barriers to hold the audience’s interest, exploring new facets of Kritika Kamra’s diverse versatility. Having impressed the audience with a range of characters through Tandav and other shows, Hush Hush amongst others, audiences have solid expectations from the talented and versatile actress for her upcoming projects.”

As for an official announcement, the makers are yet to confirm about the arrival of the second season of Hush Hush. The first season of the show is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Dak Gang Jeong: Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Jae Hong and Ryu Seung Ryong to star in new Netflix drama; ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo also in talks

Netflix has confirmed the cast for its forthcoming drama, Dak Gang Jeong (literal title). Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, and Ryu Seung Ryong are confirme to star in the new drama with ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo currently in talks.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, named after a sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken dish, Dak Gang Jeong is a comedy about a mysterious machine that turns people into fried chicken.

Kim Yoo Jung will star as Min Ah, a girl who accidentally turns into fried chicken after mistaking the mysterious machine for one that helps people recover from fatigue.

Ryu Seung Ryong will appear as Min Ah’s father Choi Sun Man, who does everything he can to turn his daughter back into human form, while Ahn Jae Hong will play his unpredictable intern Go Baek Joong, who has a one-sided crush on Min Ah.

The new Netflix drama will be helmed by director Lee Byung Hun, who previously worked with Ryu Seung Ryong on the film Extreme Job and with Ahn Jae Hong on drama Melo Is My Nature.
