Comedian Trevor Noah on Friday announced that he will quit The Daily Show after hosting it for seven years. The official Twitter handle of the show, shared a five-minute-ten-second long video, in which the comedian can be seen making the announcement. 

In the emotion-laden video message, Noah said, “I remember when we first started… so many people didn’t believe in us. It was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African.” As the video progressed further, he shed light on all the years that he has given to the show and how he wants to explore other avenues associated with stand-up comedy. 

“I spent two years in my apartment (during Covid-19), not on the road. Stand-up was done, and when I got back out there again, I realised that there’s another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring,” added the South African comedian.

Recalling how the show has been loved across different countries including India, he went on to say, “The show has grown around the world. I recently went to India for the first time and people there supported everything that we have done on the show. I found myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected.”

Concluding his speech by mentioning how hosting the show for seven years had been a challenging task for him, Noah asserted, “After the seven years, my time is up, but in the most beautiful way, honestly. I loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges. I have learned how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly sh***y on many days. We laughed together and cried together … But after seven years I feel like it’s time.” 

The 38-year-old comedian’s announcement earned a standing ovation from the studio audience.

Set against the backdrop of rural interiors of India, Faltu, starring Niharika Chouksey and Aakash Ahuja is a new show on Star Plus. The quirky title presents a witty tale of a girl who makes her dreams come true despite being rejected by her own family in the first place.

Set in Rajasthan, Faltu aims at highlighting the story of every girl who is denied, refuted, and disrespected in her own household. Yet, Faltu never gives up on her dreams and her self-belief is what takes her places. The promo of Faltu sheds light on the real struggle of a young girl whose feudal family has time and again rejected her individuality and has treated her as somebody who is not their own.

The newly released promo gives the audiences a glimpse of how the name of our title character came to be ‘Faltu’. The teaser also showcases how the girl has a penchant for sports. She also later meets a hero who seems to be offended by her initially, but it seems like he will become her ally. In fact, she goes on to explore cricket and breaks free from the stereotypes, as she attempts to prove to her family that she is anything but Faltu.

What needs to be seen is how ‘Faltu’ proves herself as somebody who is full of life and never gives up during dire situations.  Faltu promises to be an inspirational story that holds a very strong message for society about the strength of a girl child. The new promo of the show was released earlier today.

Hollywood rapper caught his fans by surprise yesterday as he changed his Instagram profile picture to a picture of his former wife Kim Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner.

As noted by NME, on September 28, Ye changed his display picture to a photo of Jenner on Instagram. Taking to his stories, the Donda rapper said writing in all caps that he’d “posted Kris with thoughts of peace and respect. Let’s change the narrative.” The picture is the exact same photo that Kris is using for her account.

Previously, West also called out Jenner for supporting her daughters Kylie and Kim when they shot for Playboy. “Hollywood is a giant brothel. Pornography destroyed my family,” he wrote in a recent online post. “I deal with the addiction [and] Instagram promotes it. Not gonna let it happen to [his daughters] Northy and Chicago.”

West also posted a screenshot of a message that Kardashian had sent him on behalf of her mother, “From my mom- PLEASE. Tell him to please stop mentioning my name. I’m almost 67 years old and I don’t always feel great and this stresses me to no end,” Kim’s alleged text read.

To that, he replied, “Y’all don’t have so so over my black children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes.”

Khloé Kardashian was secretly engaged to Triston Thompson for nine months before Thompson’s paternity scandal with another woman. According to People, Khloé revealed to sister Kim Kardashian on Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians that she said no to Thompson when he initially proposed, which reportedly occurred in December 2019.  The same was filmed roughly a month after their final breakup following the news he’d fathered a child outside of their relationship.

“I said I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I am engaged to anyone,” Khloé told Kim. “That is why I said, ‘I am not comfortable accepting this because I am not excited to tell my family.’ And as hurtful as it was for him to hear it was the truth. I would never accept something and give someone false hope.”

Despite Thompson’s affair rumors, the pair secretly got engaged around February 2021 – when he proposed for the second time – and remained fiancés for nine months until news broke that Thompson was facing a paternity lawsuit after impregnating Maralee Nichols. Per the report, the couple were seriously planning to conceive a second child together that year.

Through a surrogate, Khloé and Thompson successfully conceived a second child in the final weeks of 2021 just as news broke that Thompson had fathered a baby with another woman. Following the news, Khloé called off the secret engagement in December 2021. The pair welcomed their son, whose name is not yet known, this past August.

The pair also share 4-year-old daughter True who was born in April 2018. The former couple were linked in September 2016 and announced that they were expecting a child together one year later. Days before daughter True’s birth, Thompson was caught cheating on a then-pregnant Khloé with multiple women.
