Exploring the rare theme of Indian mythology, Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure film that seems to be receiving a positive response from the audiences. Amidst Bollywood films facing several challenges to earn box office collections, the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt starrer has been doing well. During the recent event of FICCI, filmmaker Karan Johar, who produced the big-budget, VFX-heavy film, spoke about it and also opened up about how vast the subject is.

In the recently held FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) event, Karan Johar broached the topic of Astras, wherein he explained that the film has explored so many Astras like the Nandiastra, Vanastra, Jalastra and how considering how massive the description of each one of them is, it can create an entire universe in itself. Speaking about Brahmastra, filmmaker Karan Johar said, “Each Astra can be a massive movie and a franchise itself. Can you imagine what this one film can really do if we make the right move in the future? It is actually a creator of a ‘Marvel’ous universe.”

While he elaborated on how huge each of these concepts can be created, he also referred to the popular Marvel Universe. The universe of Marvel characters is possibly one of the biggest comic franchises across the world.

Coming to Brahmastra, the film featured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the first installment of the trilogy, Brahmastra Part One released seven years after it was announced. The film hit the big screens on September 9 in three languages which includes Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

For the past few days, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been in the news for their impending wedding. While the couple had announced their decision of tying the knot way back in 2020, due to the pandemic, they waited patiently to reschedule their nuptials. And last month, reports stated that the couple has decided to hold their wedding ceremony in October and it will be in full-on big fat Indian wedding style with several functions, rituals and parties.

The couple, who were busy with their respective work commitments, has returned to Delhi to kick off the wedding festivities. And before kicking off the major functions starting from September 30, the couple decided to host an informal meeting with their parents, friends and close ones. It is supposed to be a small event with very limited guests as they get a chance to meet and interact with each other before they get busy with other ceremonies and functions.

Confirming the same, a source close to the couple told Bollywood Hungama,“The wedding festivities will start with an intimate family gathering in Delhi – there’s dinner etc. for close family and their childhood friends. It is not a ritual. It’s more like a meeting between families which is a very common tradition. And just an informal gathering with an intimate dinner hosted by Richa and Ali for their families. It’s happening at a private venue in Central Delhi today. It will only have 30-35 people.”

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal will be planning several functions in the capital but will be tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on October 6. The couple is planning on hosting two grand receptions for their relatives and friends in Delhi and Mumbai. On the work front, Richa has the magnum opus web-series Heeramandi, which is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali whereas Ali Fazal will be returning as the famous Guddu Bhaiya in Amazon Prime series Mirzapur.

South Korean upcoming drama Sajangdol Mart has finalized its cast that includes EXO’s Xiumin alongside MONSTA X’s Hyungwon, Lee Shin Young, Choi Jung Woon, Choi Won Myeong, Lee Sae On, and Kim Shana.

According to Korean media portal Soompi, Sajangdol Mart reveals what happens after the idol group Thunder Boys disbands due to an unexpected incident and takes over a failing supermarket. Lee Shin Young plays Thunder Boys’ leader and honest person Choi Ho Rang who somehow becomes the supermarket owner.

Xiumin will essay the role of Thunder Boys’ main dancer and Boram Mart’s cashier Shin Tae Ho. As the report suggests, Shin Tae Ho is self-centered, but he is also a very thoughtful character. Hyungwon will take on the role of rapper Jo Yi Joon who cannot hold back his natural talent.

Choi Jung Woon will be take the role of Boram Mart’s influential part-timer Oh Ye Rim, Choi Won Myeong will play Thunder Boys’ vocalist Eun Young Min who is in charge of Boram Mart’s fresh meat section. Meanwhile, Lee Sae On will play Thunder Boys’ youngest member Yoon Sang Woo.

Kim Shana will transform into Ji Na who, a member of the most popular girl group Chain Girls. The drama will be helmed by producing director (PD) Lee Yoo Yeon and the broadcasting schedule has yet to be confirmed.

Sajangdol Mart will reportedly air in 2023.

South Korean actors Namgoong Min and Jin Ah Reum are reportedly tying the know next month. Namgoong Min’s One Dollar Lawyer co-star Jung Moon Sung will reportedly host the wedding ceremony.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Namgoong Min’s agency 935 Entertainment released an official statement announcing the news. “Hello. This is 935 Entertainment. Actor Namgoong Min and his longtime girlfriend Jin Ah Reum have come to bear the fruits of their long love as reliable lifelong partners,” the statement began.

The statement continued, “The wedding will take place on October 7 at a location in Seoul. [The wedding] will be carried out quietly together with close relatives and acquaintances, and we ask for your generous understanding that we cannot give details as it will be held in private.”

The statement concluded, “We ask for your warm support and blessings for the future days of these two who will take a meaningful first step in their lives, and they will continue to greet [fans] with even more improved sides of themselves so that they can repay the support. Please continue to show lots of interest and love for actor Namgoong Min.”

As the report shares, the soon-to-be married couple first met as director and actress on the set of 2015 film Light My Fire. The following year, they confirmed their relationship, and the couple has been dating for seven years.

Ayushmann Khurrana was on a roll in the pre-pandemic era with his films proving to be a profitable venture for all the stakeholders. However, the pandemic changed the tide for almost every actor. While the success of films led Ayushmann Khurrana to increase his fees to a sum of Rs. 25 crores, we hear the failures has got his fees down again to the pre-pandemic level. According to an industry source, course correction is going on in the entire industry as we write.

“Ayushmann’s acting fees have come down from a sum of Rs. 25 crores to Rs. 15 crores following the below-par performance of Anek and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The producers of his upcoming films have requested the actor to support them in tough times and he willingly agreed for the larger good of the films. His new market rate is Rs. 15 crores,” revealed a source close to the actor to Bollywood Hungama.

Ayushmann is presently loaded with offers from multiple producers, however, is waiting to see how Doctor G fares at the ticket window before deciding on his next film. “He is occupied with Dream Girl 2 till year-end and will decide on his next project once the two films release. In fact, Ayushmann is very hopeful that the forthcoming releases will get him back in the race,” the source further added.

Ayushmann isn’t the first actor to have slashed his fees. Akshay Kumar, who used to charge Rs. 144 crores for a film, has come down to Rs. 72 crores, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao too have slashed their fees by half. The industry is indeed in the rebuilding stage.
