Last month, Bollywood Hungama reported that Farhan Akhtar narrated the script of the much-awaited film, Don 3, to its lead actor, Shah Rukh Khan. However, the superstar was not entirely convinced with the idea, due to which Farhan Akhtar decided to go back to the writing table.

We have now found interesting details about the script of Don 3 which was narrated by Farhan Akhtar. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Farhan had an ambitious idea of getting Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan together in the third installment. Interestingly, Bachchan saab was the lead in the original Don (1978). It had a different ending and showed the good-natured Vijay surviving and Don dying, while SRK’s version showed vice versa. Hence, it’s not clear whether or not Big B was supposed to play the role from the original version. However, Farhan definitely had thought of casting Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in Don 3.”

The source continued, “And that’s not all. As per Farhan’s plot, Don 3 was also supposed to have a cameo by Ranveer Singh. He too was going to play Don. The idea was that SRK’s Don character would pass the baton to Ranveer’s Don character so that he can take on the iconic role in the future parts.”

The source added, “Don 3 is one of the most awaited films of all time and if Shah Rukh Khan is joined by Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh, then it would have also translated into a record-breaking opening, especially if the film had been released on a holiday.”

The source signed off by saying, “Let’s see if Farhan Akhtar fleshes out this idea in a better and more convincing way or does he choose a different plot. Whatever the story idea, whether Shah Rukh Khan stars solo or is joined by other stars, the curiosity, and desperation to see Don 3 will always be sky-high.”

South Korean pop group EXO’s member Suho is making his return to silver screen after 4 years through drama Hip (working title). Currently, Han Ji Min and Lee Min Ki are in talks for the lead roles.

According to Korean media portal Soompi, the drama will tell the story of events that unfold in the countryside and will be directed by Kim Seok Yoon.

Suho, who previously starred in dramas like Rich Man, Poor Woman, The Universe’s Star, Glory Day, Student A, and more, is marking his return to appearing in dramas after 4 years. His agency SM Entertainment also confirmed, “Suho will be appearing in the new drama “Hip’ (working title).”

Hip is scheduled to premiere in 2023. The upcoming drama is by My Liberation Notes director Kim Seok Yoon.

Meanwhile, EXO’s Suho dropped his second solo mini-album Grey Suit, earlier this year accompanied by two music videos for ‘Grey Suit’ and ‘Hurdle’ tracks, respectively.

South Korean singer-actor IU recently celebrated her 14-year debut anniversary by making a thoughtful donation to charity.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, on September 18, IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment shared on their official Instagram account that IU donated a total of 200 million won (over Rs. 1.1 crores) under the name IUAENA, which is a combination of IU and UAENA (her official fan club name).

The singer-actor reportedly gave 100 million won (over Rs. 57.1 lakhs) to Asan Foundation and 100 million won (over Rs. 57.1 lakhs) to Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association. Through EDAM Entertainment, IU shared, “With my UAENA, who has constantly presented big and small miracles for 15 years, I am sharing warmth again this year with a heart full of gratitude.

“As we confirmed in one place yesterday, I hope that our hearts will come together to bring another small miracle to someone,” she continued. “All the time I spent with UAENA for 15 years has been my golden hour. Thank you and I love you so much.” Per the report, IU’s donation will be used to pay for the cancer treatment of women and children with financial difficulties and to help young people preparing for self-independence.

Meanwhile, IU is also celebrating her anniversary with her ‘The Golden Hour’ concerts, held at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium on September 17 and 18 KST.

South Korean actor Kim Seon Ho has made another meaningful donation to aid flood relief efforts in Pohang. The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that the actor donated all his earnings from the play Touching the Void to provide refreshments to more than 1,000 victims and volunteers affected by the recent Typhoon Hinnamnor.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, on September 16, Kim Seon Ho’s agency Salt Entertainment also commented, “Kim Seon Ho expressed his wish to donate all his performance fees to help those who lost their homes due to the typhoon, so we decided to fund the provision of refreshments. We hope it will be a small help for the victims in the recovery of their daily lives.”

According to the report, the decision to run a food truck was made according to the association’s apparent need for on-site food assistance ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

On the work front, Kim Seon Ho was last seen in Hometown Cha Cha Cha. Following his last drama, a personal controversy led to him losing out on several projects. The actor recently returned to theatre with Touching the Void.

The film is about an ex-floor manager of a factory who loses his job during the pandemic. He then works as a food delivery rider, grappling with the world of ratings and incentives. To support the income, his homemaker wife begins to explore different work opportunities, with fear but also the excitement of newfound independence. Constantine 2 – a sequel to one of DC’s cult-classic movies is now in the works at Warner Bros. with Keanu Reeves and Francis Lawrence, who made his helming debut on the original, set to reunite.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is developing a sequel to 2005’s Constantine, the film based on the supernatural DC property. Veteran scribe Akiva Goldsman will write the script and produce via Weed Road Pictures, with J.J. Abrams producing via Bad Robot with Hannah Minghella. The details about the sequel are being kept under wraps at the moment.

As part of an overall deal with Warner Bros., Abrams has also been developing a new Constantine HBO Max-exclusive series, which would be part of a Justice League Dark shared universe. However, according to reports, the HBO Max series is no longer moving forward, although the streamer had been in early talks with an actor for the lead role before the new movie came together.

Four scripts were written for the new adaptation set in contemporary London. In the years since Constantine hit theaters, Matt Ryan has played the character in both live-action (NBC’s Constantine series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and animation (Justice League Dark). Jenna Coleman also plays a gender-swapped version of Constantine in Netflix’s The Sandman.
