Sidharth Malhotra is all set for yet another army man role. Following his spectacular performance in Shershaah last year, this time the actor will play a soldier who fights terrorists who have hijacked an aircraft. While the first look was unveiled last year, today the actor begins a new schedule in Manali.

As per a daily, this will be Dharma Productions’ first offering in aerial action space. The action thriller sees Sidharth Malhotra in an action avatar and it is reportedly based on a true incident from the ’90s. The film will reportedly arrive in 2023 in theatres following the delay due to the pandemic.

Last year, Karan Johar unveiled the first look of Yodha, featuring Sidharth in an intense avatar. “After conquering the peaks, I am proud to present Sidharth Malhotra back with power in the first of the action franchise by Dharma Productions – #Yodha. Directed by the dynamic duo – Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. ,” Karan wrote.

In the past, Sidharth and Karan have collaborated on numerous films, including his debut Student of the Year, Hasee Toh Phasee, Kapoor and Sons and Shershaah. Yodha will also star Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna.

The movie will be helmed by debutant director duo Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre and produced by Karan Johar for Dharma and Shashank Khaitan under his newly-minted banner Mentor Disciple Films.

Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar will be starring in The Ladykiller. Even before their first offering releases in the theatres, the duo will reunite to star in Mudassar Aziz’ comedy next which is tentatively titled Meri Patni Ka Remake. For the same, the actors have reached London and will kick off their shoot, today.

As per a daily, a major portion of the film will be shot in the UK with Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar over the next month. Following this schedule, they will shoot in Mumbai and plan on shooting in some other cities in India too. It is speculated that Rakul Preet Singh is the second female lead on the project.

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani under his banner Pooja Entertainment, this marks Bhumi Pednekar’s second project with Mudassar Aziz after Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019).

Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar’s The Ladykiller has already been wrapped. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Shaailesh R Singh. The Ajay Bahl directorial is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in association with Karma Media & Entertainment.

After the resounding success of its very first free online coaching program for IAS exams last year, actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood’s Sood Charity Foundation, in collaboration with Divine India Youth Association (DIYA), has launched the new session of Sambhavam scholarship for the year 2022-23.

Sambhavam is a unique program for aspirants of civil services preparing to appear for IAS exams. Under this program, started by Sood, selected students get free online IAS coaching at top civil services institutes in India along with mentorship support and holistic personality development, opening new possibilities for youth empowerment and nation-building.

With the launch of the Sambhavam scholarship program for the second year, Sood Charity Foundation (SCF) and DIYA aim to provide youth from weaker financial backgrounds an equal chance of competing in the IAS entrance exams.

“We are happy to be partnering with Sonu Sood and SCF on this wonderful initiative of Sambhavam. With this initiative we hope to help a lot more IAS aspirants preparing for their exam irrespective of their backgrounds and they will surely stand a good chance to crack it,” says Manish Kumar Singh, from DIYA.

“The goal is to provide equal opportunities to IAS aspirants from all economic backgrounds and empower them with knowledge. Knowledge is power after all,” added actor Sood.

SIIMA Awards 2022 kicked off its tenth year and was expected to be a star-studded event. The award function which is a two-day event was held in Bengaluru and was expected to host a wide range of stars from the Sandalwood and Tollywood. While A-list celebs like Ranveer Singh, Vijay Deverakonda, Yash, and Allu Arjun made brief and late appearances, the massive fan crowding, and an undersized red-carpet space led to much chaos on the first day of SIIMA.

The event was expected to have massive media coverage from across the country with delegates from major publications and channels being present at the event. However, the sheer chaos and lack of space led to several mishaps and disorganization. From embarrassing red-carpet moments, the chaos became an issue that remained unaddressed. Furthermore, the media entourage remained seat-less as the extensive crowd left the venue jam packed. While fans were crowding the entrance too of the venue, it lead to chaotic situation on the red carpet as the media struggled to interact with the bigwigs of the industry. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh bore the brunt of the madness as a fan accidentally hit his face.

Rana Daggubati, who hosted the event, arrived early, and interacted with the media rather fleetingly. But stars like Kamal Haasan who came to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award couldn’t interact as the crowd and heavy security posed hindrance.

Ranveer Singh recently surprised fans as the actor attended the SIIMA 2022, South Indian International Movie Awards which is a two day event that is held in Bengaluru. The actor attended the award functions along with popular actors like Allu Arjun and Vijay Deverakonda on the night of September 10 with Rana Daggubati playing the host for the evening. The evening was dedicated to the performances of Telugu and Kannada industry and the awards night also saw KGF star Yash in attendance.

The unexpected entry of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh however caused a mob-like situation on the red carpet as excited fans on the red carpet tried to get a glimpse of the star. The enthusiastic actor greeted the media at the red carpet but before it could unfold into some interesting tidbits, the fans loitering around the red carpet for selfies along with the heavy security led to a chaotic situation with the actor facing repercussions of a mob. The red carpet divided between a restricted camera section for the media, with a side completely dedicated to SIIMA and their team, caused immense space constraint. The mob situation even led to a fan accidentally hitting Ranveer’s face.

Ranveer Singh received the Most Loved Hindi Actor in South Industry award on September 10 and the award evening also saw some Bollywood names in its guest list which included Arjan Bajwa, Ranveer’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar leading lady Shalini Pandey, Pooja Hegde in attendance. While Allu Arjun won the award for Best Actor in Telugu for Pushpa, the Best Actress went to Pooja for her role in the Akhil Akkineni starrer Most Eligible Bachelor.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus which will feature Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. The actor also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a love story with Alia Bhatt which also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan.
