Diana Penty has been cast opposite Ajay Devgn in filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor’s next, which is yet untitled. The movie will also see the launch of Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani and Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aman Devgan. The two debutants are cast opposite each other.

The film’s cast about two couple from two different generations is sure to get heads turned. It is also sure to pique people’s interest in knowing what exactly would be the story or the subject of the film, which is yet untitled.

There were source-based reports earlier in the year about Raveena’s daughter Rasha making her debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s next film. But now Bollywood Hungama has got a confirmed update that she will indeed be getting launched with this movie and that too opposite Aman Devgan.

Ajay has previous played a cameo in Kapoor’s Fitoor, which mainly starred Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Tabu and Aditi Rao Hydari. But the movie in question will be the first time that Ajay will be seen in a full-fledged role in a film helmed by Kapoor. This will also be Diana Penty’s first film with the filmmaker.

Kapoor’s last directorial venture was the much-talked about Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which saw the cast of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. Although the film got decent reviews, it didn’t work at the box office.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has now become the new brand ambassador for the mobile phone brand, RealMe. After Salman Khan, now the Pathaan star has been onboarded as the new face ahead of the launch of the RealMe 11 Pro series in India.

The news was confirmed by leaked photos from the sets of the TVC shoot where the actor was filming the campaign. It is being reported that the actor will be shooting for the new pro series campaign. The Realme 11 Pro series will offer a new range of phones, Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Pathaan. The film’s collections crossed Rs. 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. It was released in theatres on January 25, 2023. The film also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham while it was directed by Siddharth Anand.

He will also be seen in Atlee’s Jawan on September 7, 2023. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Deepika is making a cameo in the film. He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It will release on the big screen on December 22, 2023. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role along with Satish Shah and Boman Irani.

It seems like the cruise drug bust case of 2021 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) which left superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in jail for 28 days is still very much in the spotlight. After Junior Khan was bailed and the charges against him were dropped, the case officer Sameer Wankhede has been in the news. The former NCB officer, who led the drugs bust case and has been accused of attempting to allegedly extort a whopping Rs. 25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan, produced the conversations on WhatsApp that he allegedly had with SRK.

Now, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has accused Wankhede of allegedly extorting money from Shah Rukh Khan. Wankhede has filed a petition in court in response to the case against him and submitted a series of chats which he allegedly exchanged with a person named “Shahrukh Khan”.  As per a report by India Today TV, they have accessed the alleged WhatsApp chats between Wankhede and SRK in which the superstar begs to let go off Aryan Khan and not implicate him in a case that will leave him broken. The first part of the text reads, “Get your guys to go slow for Gods sake. I swear I will stand by you at all times to come and assist you with what all you are trying to achieve good. It’s a man’s promise and you know me enough to know I am good for it. I beg you to please have mercy in me and my family. We are a simple set of people and my son has been a bit wayward, but he doesn’t deserve being in a jail like a hardened criminal. You also know that. Please have a heart man, please I beg you.”

The next part reads, “I beg you man, please don’t let him be in that jail. He will break as a human being. His spirit will be destroyed because of some vested people. You promised you will reform my child not put him in a place where he may come out completely battered and broken.”

“If in any way without losing your integrity as an officer of law, you can help with whatever manner possible please. I will always be indebted. I don’t know the technicalities but if the department in charge feels all is ok and to your satisfaction. If then your authority furnishes a ‘ short reply ‘ with whatever conditions your team may have. I promise you whatever cooperation you would need from him will be done to the best of his abilities. Just please consider this request favourably it will be a huge favour because the family just wants him home, and not get stamped with having been a convict in a notorious prison. He adds, “Please tell them to go easy man and let me get my son home. Please. There is nothing more I can say or do but beg you. You have noticed my behaviour through all this. You know I would never stand by anything against what you are doing. I believed it when you said you are thinking of Aryan as your own and want to make him a better person. I haven’t done anything to not help my son get that reformation. I haven’t been in press. I haven’t made a statement. I have just believed in your goodness. Please please don’t let me down as a father.”

“As a good man, why would you subject him to this for some selfish people doing what they are doing. I promise you I will go to them and beg them to not say another word in front of you. Will use everything in my power to make sure they listen and retract whatever they have said. I promise you I will do all of it and won’t shirk away from begging them to stop. But please send my son home. You also know in your heart it’s been a bit too harsh for him by now. Please please I beg you as a father,” the text concludes.

In an earlier report in 2021, a witness of the NCB named Prabhakar Raghoji Sail recalled a call that was made by other witnesses KP Gosavi and Sanvile D’Souza to Shah Rukh Khan, demanding Rs. 25 crores from the superstar after the NCB authorities arrested Aryan Khan in the case. In the report, Sail had also asserted that after much deliberation, they had settled to Rs. 18 crores, followed by which the amount was to be distributed among NCB officers. He had said to Indian Express, “Out of the total Rs. 18 crores, Rs. 8 crore was meant for Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede while the balance amount was to be shared among them.”

As per recent reports, the CBI officers claim that the NCB officer Sameer Wankhede’s recent expenditure on foreign trips and luxurious purchases have ‘not been clearly justified’ when compared to his ‘declared income’. These reports suggest that Wankhede has once again been accused of corruption and bribery over his failure to submit an explanation regarding his recent over-the-top expenses. Although Sail passed away last year due to heart failure, the same allegations have been placed by the CBI officers after their raids at Wankhede’s residence.

Along with Sameer Wankhede, Vishwa Vijay Singh, and Ashish Ranjan too have been accused in the case along with KP Gosavi and Sanvile D’Souza for allegedly threatening the Khan family and using the Aryan Khan arrest case to extort a lumpsum from the wealthy film producer-entrepreneurs. The CBI has accused Gosavi of being given the privileges of accompanying the accused, coming to the NCB office even after the raid etc. because of which he even took selfies with Aryan Khan that went viral across platforms and even recorded his voice. The CBI observed that these privileges are never offered to independent witnesses. As per current reports, the CBI claims that Wankhede had given permission to Vishwa Singh for letting Gosavi handle the accused.

As we head closer to the release of Om Raut-directed and Bhushan Kumar-produced Adipurush, the excitement only piques up. Now, it seems that the composers of the song Ajay-Atul are going to give a real feel of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ song with a live performance. The duo will perform a live orchestra with more than 30 chorus singers for the Adipurush song as they launch it at a grand event in Mumbai. The lyrics for the song have been penned by Manoj Muntashir.

‘Jai Shri Ram’ has been created with utter devotion from Ajay-Atul along with Om Raut and Bhushan Kumar. Talking about the same, a source says, “The entire team of Adipurush believes that the soul of the film rests in Jai Shri Ram. It’s a song that will resonate with the audience for generations to come by. Jai Shri Ram spreads positivity and has been created with a lot of devotion by Ajay Atul Bhushan Kumar and Om Raut. The team has planned a unique launch for the song at a grand event in Mumbai. Contrary to the general norm of screening the song for the fans and media, this time around, it will be launched in the medium of a live performance. Ajay Atul will perform live to Jai Shri Ram with a team of 30 plus chorus singers.”

In a tragic piece of news, actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana’s father Pandit P Khurana passed away today. As per a statement by his family, the astrologer passed away in Mohali at 10:30 am after suffering from a prolonged incurable ailment.

A statement shared by Aparshakti’s spokesperson read, “It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss”.

Pandit P Khurana was a renowned astrologer. He is survived by wife and his two sons Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparkshakti Khurana.

Director Sooraj Barjatya was recently in the news for his 2022 acclaimed film Uunchai and also after reports emerged that he is gearing up for his next directorial, featuring Salman Khan. As per reports, this family entertainer is expected to release in cinemas on Diwali 2024. The blockbuster director, however, is not just busy with his directorial venture. He’s also focusing on the debut directorial of his son, Avnish S Barjatya. And Bollywood Hungama has stumbled upon interesting information about this film.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “While it is common knowledge that Avnish Barjatya has shot for his directorial, the title hasn’t been announced yet. The film is named Dono. The makers feel that this is an apt title and goes well with the film’s storyline.”

Dono marks the debut of not just Avinsh but also Sunny Deol’s younger son Rajveer and producer Ashok Thakeria and actress Poonam Dhillon’s daughter, Paloma Thakeria Dhillon. As per reports that emerged last year, the film is a coming-of-age love story, which explores modern relationships set against the backdrop of a lavish destination wedding. In March this year, Sunny Deol’s elder son and Rajveer’s brother Karan Deol posted a picture of him, Sunny and Rajveer on the sets of Dono in Thailand.

In March 2021, Rajshri Productions announced that they were launching Rajveer Deol in Avnish Barjatya’s film. Exactly a year ago, on May 20, 2022, Rajshri confirmed that Paloma Thakeria Dhillon is a part of this film. As per a statement released by the makers at that time, Avnish Barjatya stated, “Paloma is a powerful performer and has tremendous screen presence. She is the perfect fit for my character. Her immense work ethic and enthusiasm make it so exciting to be working with her every day. Paloma and Rajveer share great chemistry together on screen and play off each other really well. They have both seamlessly blended into their roles.”

Dono is expected to release in cinemas this year.

Angad Bedi’s next project, A Legal Affair, is a legal drama which also stars Internet sensation, Barkha Singh. The show is produced by Jio Studios and is the official Hindi adaptation of Suspicious Partner, one of the most popular K-dramas starring Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun. The show has already been shot extensively in Delhi and Mumbai and will be released later this year. Korean dramas have found a huge audience in India and this being an official adaptation, is sure to make for a promising premise.

Angad says, “A Legal Affair is a legal drama based on a lawyer and his associate and the affair they have. It’s an intense romantic drama, a genre I haven’t dabbled in before. I did essay the role of a lawyer previously but that was a different space altogether which was based on a real life Murad case. Also, this show is an official adaptation of the K-drama, Suspicious Partner, which is already such a successful show. It’s kind of tricky since the Korean version was already a hit, so people have high expectations and it’s up to the actors and makers what more they can bring to the show.”

The show is a rom-com, directed by Karan Darra. It is the first collaboration of Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi. All the episodes of the series will be streamed online on the JioCinema app or My Jio app. The release date hasn’t been announced yet.
