Jennifer Mistry aka Mrs. Roshan took Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma fans by shock when she accused the producers of the Sony SAB show of mental and sexual harassment. Followed by that, another popular actor of the show, Mandar Chandwadkar, who essays the character of Mr. Bhide, denied these allegations and accused Mistry of lying. An upset actress recently revealed that she is disappointed in her best friend as he even attempted to convince her to not take action against the producers.

In an interview with ETimes, Jennifer Mistry said, “I know the production team will not speak in my favour, they will obviously support the production house. But my best friend from the show, Mandar Chandwadkar, I am disappointed with him. I’ve shared birthday posts for him every year on social media. He has been a close friend and I am surprised that he’s saying that I don’t know why Jennifer is saying all this and Taarak set is not male chauvinist. Firstly, he himself is a male, so he will never admit it. He knows every single thing that I am saying and he knows it is right. He knows point-to-point what all is happening in our life, especially mine. Sonalika Joshi, Ambika Rajankar and Mandar we are close friends. He knows each and every word of mine.”

She further went on to recall how he was the first person to call her when she sent the complaint draft to the producers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. “When I sent a draft of the complaint to Sohil Ramani on his WhatsApp on April 4, Mandar was the first person to call me. He called me 6 times till the next morning and sent me messages. He told me I got to know from Sohil that you are planning to file a sexual harassment case against them, why are you doing this? I asked him to stay out of it. I told him if you can’t stand for me or speak the truth, stay out of it. If you can’t stand with me then don’t lie. I am ready to fight and stand alone. I told him categorically that don’t stop me from what I am doing. He asked me to think about the show and I told him that my best wishes are with the show. I told him I am because of the show and I’m grateful for it. Gratitude is on one side and fact is on another,” she added.

She also maintained that she wouldn’t have taken his name had he not accused her of lying.
“I had no interest or intention to take Mandar’s name. He spoke against me and that’s why I’m taking his name. Mandar has called me every five days to ask what’s happening. Then why were you calling in the past few months? You knew all the developments and you never denied them. I told him during the conversation that you are aware of what happened in Singapore with me. Aren’t you? He heard everything on the phone and in affirmation. Then why was he hearing the conversation? Why didn’t he say then Jennifer you are lying? My other two colleagues also knew about the situation, but I don’t want to take their names,” she concluded.

Rohit Shetty cop universe is the second biggest IP of Indian Cinema at this point of time after the YRF Spy Universe. The filmmaker has got some of the biggest names of Hindi Film Industry in his Cop Universe. The cop universe started back in the day with Singham played by Ajay Devgn, followed by Simmba with Ranveer Singh and finally, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.

During the promotions of Cirkus, Rohit Shetty confirmed that Deepika Padukone will be the newest cop in his universe. And now, we have learnt that Rohit is planning to introduce URI actor, Vicky Kaushal as well as a cop. “Vicky Kaushal and Rohit Shetty are in talks for Singham Again for a while now and Rohit is chalking out a proper character for Vicky in Singham Again. His cop will be very different from Ranveer, who is an over-the-top character. Rohit wants to explore the heroic and macho side of Vicky in his cop universe,” a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

Vicky and Rohit have been discussing a film for the last 3 years, much before pandemic, and it seems that the collaboration will finally happen this year with Singham Again. “Rohit is working on the script to carve a track for Vicky and is happy with the way things are moving ahead. An official paperwork shall happen once the script is locked. But Rohit is excited to work with an actor in a different space,” the trade source told us further.

With this, Singham Again becomes the biggest ensemble film as the extended cast would comprise Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. Vicky would be the 6th major name to join the cast once things materialize.

The dynamics of relationships within the entertainment industry often capture public attention, and one such instance was the romantic involvement between actor Adhyayan Suman and Kangana Ranaut during the filming of Raaz: The Mystery Continues in 2008. However, their love story took a tumultuous turn, leading to an acrimonious breakup. Post their split, Adhyayan’s father, renowned actor Shekhar Suman, found himself caught in the middle of the storm as he publicly criticised Kangana on social media. 

Recently, Shekhar Suman revisited that time during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, where he stated that he was never ‘against’ their relationship. He also revealed that he was well aware of the intricacies of Adhyayan’s relationship with Kangana, but he intentionally opted to step back and allow his son to “fight his own battles.”

The veteran actor asserted, “I can only give him the strength to fight that battle. I cannot fight his battles. I can never be that dad who would go and tell the other person, ‘tumne mere bachche ke saath..(why did you wrong my child)’. I think he is man enough and can fight his battles.” 

The Chor Machaaye Shor actor further added, “I am never against any relationship. I was not against his relationship with Kangana. I think it’s a phase in life; sometimes you succeed in your first relationship, and sometimes you fail. Nobody wants that they fail in their first relationship. But society loves drama. People would have wanted Kangana and Adhyayan’s relationship to end. Sometimes even your friends do not want your happiness.”

As the conversation progressed, the Utsav actor expressed that neither Adhyayan nor Kangana should be blamed for the situation they found themselves in. He attributed their relationship’s unfortunate turn to circumstances that led to unintended events. Shekhar emphasised the importance of ending things on a positive note. 

Furthermore, he added that if Adhyayan unintentionally made any inappropriate remarks, he extended his apologies.

On Monday, megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to his Instagram handle and shared an image to express his gratitude towards a stranger, who gave him a bike ride. However, hours later, a section of netizens started calling out the Bollywood actor for violating traffic rules by not wearing a helmet. In fact, after a bunch of Twitter users tagged Mumbai Police to respond on the matter, the official handle of it stated that they have shared the concern with the traffic branch.

Now, a day after the incident, Big B has written a blog post to give clarification on the photo while claiming that he has not broken any traffic rule. In his post, the actor wrote, “It is Sunday… formal permission was taken for the shoot at a lane in Ballard Estate… permission was sought for Sunday because all offices are shut and there is no public or traffic. One lane in the region blocked off by police permission for shoot .. the lane is barely 30-40 metres. The dress I wear is my costume for the film. And… I am just fooling around by getting on the bike, of a crew member… Not even moving anywhere, but giving the impression that I travelled to save time… (sic).”

The veteran actor further added, “But yes, I would do it if there was a problem of punctuality .. and wear a helmet and follow all the rules and regulations of the traffic guidelines… I am not the only one that does this… had seen Akshay Kumar do this to get to a location on time… wore helmet etc., on the bike of his security person .. no one could recognise it… and it was rapid and efficient .. and it worked well… Thank you all for your concern and your care and love and your spanking me and trolling (sic)”

He signed off by saying, “And sorry , people , for causing concern and giving any wrong concept of breaking traffic rules .. I did not .. love all of you.”

Coming to the professional front, the 80-year-old actor was last seen in Uunchai. He has a bunch of big-budget projects in his kitty including Project K with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.

It is a matter of great pride for us that the Shekhar Kapur-directed What’s Love Got To Do With It? is one of the big hits of the season in the UK. The behind-the-scenes happenings during the shooting, however, were not-so-smooth between Kapur and Jemima Khan, formerly married to the exiled Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who wrote and co-produced the film.

Multiple sources confirm that Shekhar and Jemima “could not see eye to eye” from the beginning. By the time the movie neared completion, the two ceased all conversation and were “most definitely not on the same page” on how to edit the film.

Sources said that Jemima took the uncut film away from Shekhar and edited it on her own without his consent.

A source said, “The film What’s Love Got To Do With It? that you see on screen is not how Shekhar edited the footage. It is Jemima Khan’s version of what Shekhar shot. Several scenes were chopped off without his consent.”
