Daisy Shah is currently in the news for being one of the contestants on the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, which is hosted by the successful and well-known filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Along with the show, which will be her television debut, the actress also has a couple of movies lined up in the near future.

In a chat with Free Press Journal, Daisy said that she has a short film coming up with the title The Elephant In The Room and it has a Ganeshotsav connection. “Our film is actually based on Ganpati bappa. Hence, it’s called The Elephant In The Room. We will be showcasing the celebrations of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival also. I am the protagonist and I cannot reveal much.” Sharing more about the film’s release, she said, “I think it is going to turn into a series format. They are in talks. Hence, there’s a little bit of delay.”

When asked whether she believes in Lord Ganesha, the actress said, “I am a believer of energy in the universe. It doesn’t have a form or a face. I believe in an omnipresent God.”

Daisy also has a feature film in the pipeline titled Mystery of Tattoo, which is a crime drama shot abroad. “It’s a murder mystery, which we shot in London. The film is undergoing post-production and its VFX has already been completed in London itself. They have also completed the dubbing of the entire cast,” she said.

As Radhika Madan’s upcoming film Sanaa premieres at the oldest Asian Film Festival in the world, the UK Asian Film Festival, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak gave a special shout-out to the film in his video message congratulating the film festival for completing 25 years. 

Extending wishes to the UK Asian Film Festival, the honourable PM of the UK says, “Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. This is not just the longest-running foundation film festival in the world, it’s also one of the best-loved. We have achieved so much over the last 25 years, showcasing South Asian talent, putting the spotlight on female filmmakers and telling us stories that have made us laugh and cry. This year would be no different with premieres of acclaimed new films like Sanaa or Whispers of the Storms.”

Creating global ripples ever since the beginning of her film career, Radhika Madan’s first film Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota had also premiered and won at the TIFF much before its release in India. Following that, recently Radhika’s Kachhey Limbu also premiered at the TIFF and Sanaa has been making the film festival rounds across the world. 

Currently having opened UK Asian Film Festival, Radhika Madan’s Sanaa will also premiere at New York Indian Film Festival, wherein Radhika is also nominated for Best Actress. The film has earlier won praise and overwhelming response at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Fest and Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival. 

Basking in the glowing reviews for her performance in the latest release Saas Bahu aur Flamingo currently, the show marks her second release of the year after Kuttey. She also has Kacchey Limbu, Sanaa, Soorarai Pottru’s remake tentatively called Production No. 27 featuring Akshay Kumar, Mikhil Musale directorial Happy Teacher’s Day and Maddock Entertainment’s Rumi Ki Sharafat.

Pankaj Tripathi won millions of hearts as he revealed his first look as Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji for the biopic, Main ATAL Hoon. Recently, the actor shared another update on his social media hinting at the shoot commencement of the film. 

Today, the makers officially announced the filming of Main ATAL Hoon. The movie will revolve around the life and political career of India’s beloved leader, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was not only a politician but also a poet, a gentleman and a statesman. Commencing the shoot in Mumbai, the team will have a long schedule of more than 45 days covering different parts of our country like Mumbai and Lucknow. 

‘‘Getting a chance to play the role of our great leader, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an honour in itself. We went through rigorous reading sessions, to understand the dialect, his lifestyle and his vision for India. I feel elated today as we begin shooting for Main ATAL Hoon,” shares actor Pankaj Tripathi.

Director Ravi Jadhav added, “I have seen Pankaj ji being super involved in the process of knowing and understanding Atal ji. I am sure no one else would have been a better fit than Pankaj Ji to essay such a proficient personality. Hoping to create the same magic with our film that Atal ji created with his life and his vision for our country.”

Producer Vinod Bhanushali shares, “Main ATAL Hoon is a special film. Everyone associated with the film is leaving no stone unturned for it to be one of the best experiences for our audiences. We went through a lot of research for right from the story, and locations to looks for each of our characters before coming on floors for the shoot of our film.”

Helmed by National Award-Winning Director Ravi Jadhav, Main ATAL Hoon features Pankaj Tripathi as Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the three-time Prime Minister of our Country. The film is written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav with music by Salim – Sulaiman and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. 

Main ATAL Hoon presented by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios, is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan & Kamlesh Bhanushali and co-produced by Bhavesh Bhanushali, Ishaan Dutta, Zeeshan Ahmad and Shivv Sharma. The film will hit the theatres in December 2023.

Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s next film has been in the news since last year. An image of both the actors was also leaked on the internet in last November. The film is the next directorial for Laxman Utekar after the highly acclaimed Mimi, which starred Kriti Sanon in the lead. It is now learnt that Vicky and Sara’s film is titled Luka Chuppi 2. It is the second film in the franchise after the first one starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.

As per the latest update officially shared by the makers, the film will be released on June 2 this year and they will officially release the title on May 16, which is Vicky Kaushal’s birthday.

There were reports last year about Vicky and Sara playing a married couple in the film, although nothing has been revealed officially by the makers. The makers also haven’t revealed whether the film will be released in theatres or directly on OTT. Bollywood Hungama had reported in last September that the film will be released directly on Netflix and that the makers have sold the film to the streaming giant for Rs. 70 crores. This will be Utekar’s second release on Netflix in a row after Mimi.

A source had revealed us back then, “The revenue from the satellite will be over and above this sum of Rs. 70 crores. Laxman Utekar’s last film, Mimi had done wonders for Netflix and even this one is appreciated by those who have seen it. It’s the power of director, content, and producer credibility that has resulted in the film fetching this humongous deal. Dinesh has respected the OTT space by supplying credible content through the lockdown too.”

There have been quite a few changes in the release dates of some big films since last few days. It all happened after the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, which was due to release on June 2, got postponed earlier in the week. This led to some other films reshuffling their release dates. Things got settled some time back when the makers of Jawan announced September 7 as their new release date.

 

However, Excel Entertainment’s Fukrey 3 was supposed to release on this date as the Janmashtami release. Naturally, the makers wouldn’t want to clash with a keenly-awaited SRK movie. Hence, they have now postponed the release of the film. As per the latest buzz, Fukrey 3 will now be releasing on November 24.

Salman Khan’s biggie Tiger 3 is slated to release on November 10 during Diwali. With Fukrey 3 releasing almost after two weeks, it will hopefully give the film a good window to earn. There is a buzz for the film with the first two films in the Fukrey franchise turning out to be successful.

Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey 3 will repeat the cast of the first two films in the form of Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi and Manjot Singh.

Prabhas has been making waves in the Indian film industry with his incredible talent and good looks. The Baahubali star has managed to garner a huge fan following, not just in the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana but across the country. While fans are eagerly waiting for his next film, Adipurush, there have been reports of his collaboration with War and Pathaan director Siddharth Anand. But as per a report in PinkVilla, the film has been put up on hold for now.

The publication has quoted a source revealing the latest update in detail. The source asserted, “Siddharth Anand has also refunded the amount he got as an advance for the film. Mythri and Siddharth Anand have now decided to collaborate on another project in the near future.”

Additionally, it was stated that the reason for the stakeholders to end their collaboration was due to the unavailability of matching dates between Siddharth Anand and Prabhas.

Explaining further, the source said, “Siddharth Anand and Prabhas are two of the busiest people in the Indian film industry at this point in time. They have their diaries blocked for the next few years, and are not able to find a common window for their collaboration.”

The source concluded by saying, “Prabhas has 3 films under his kitty lined up whereas Siddharth Anand too has committed himself to Fighter and Tiger v/s Pathaan. In-fact, Siddharth is already planning Fighter 2 with his team after Tiger v/s Pathaan.”

Coming back to Prabhas’ upcoming film, Adipurush, it is helmed by Om Raut. The film is slated to release on June 16. Besides this, he also has Project K and Raja Deluxe scheduled for release in 2024.
