There were reports earlier this week about filmmaker Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush’s trailer releasing on May 9. Now, the makers have confirmed that the promo of the film starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan will indeed release on that date. But this is not going to be an ordinary trailer launch.

A statement from the makers said, “After making a huge feat amongst the audience with every glimpse released, the team now gears up for a magnificent trailer launch that will be watched globally as it’d not just be launched in India, but across 70 countries globally, truly marking to be a global event! With this grand launch not only in India, but in territories across USA, Canada, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Asian & South Asian including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Japan; Africa, UK & Europe, Russia and Egypt; this epic tale will captivate audiences and transport them into a world of adventure, drama, and action.”

To announced the date of the trailer, the makers of Adipurush have also released a new poster featuring the film’s leading man Prabhas as Lord Ram. It shows him all set to release a powerful arrow. The film will see Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in the roles of Sita, Raavan and Lakshman respectively.

Produced by T-Series, Retrophiles and UV Creations, Adipurush will be released in theatres on June 16. Before that, the film will be premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York on June 13.

Kartik Aaryan has gone through some of the hardest times of his life when his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Both his mother and Kartik kept their faith high which resulted in her recovery. The actor’s mother is now a cancer warrior.

Taking to social media, the actor recalled the diagnosis and shared a picture of his mother. He wrote, “Some time ago during this month the Big C – ‘Cancer’ sneakily crept in and tried to rattle the lives of our family! We were frazzled and helpless beyond despair! But thanks to the willpower, resilience and never give up attitude of this fierce soldier – My Mom, we turned to the Bigger C- ‘Courage’ and marched with all our might and won the dark but destined to win war! What it taught us eventually and continues to teach us every day, is that there’s no superpower bigger than the love and support of your family! #SuperHero #CancerWarrior.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is the hottest topic of discussion in trade circles at this point in time. Every single investigative reporter is on the lookout for updates on Jawan as Shah Rukh Khan fans on social media have been constantly on the lookout for the new date update. The team on Friday morning had locked August 25 as the release date and was set to announce it on Friday evening. But it seems that Shah Rukh Khan has devised an altogether new plan now.

The latest source informs us that Jawan has been delayed further and will now be a mid-September release. According to our source, Shah Rukh Khan has informed Atlee about his decision to bring the film in September 2023, to get a clear run till the release of Salaar.

The change of date was decided on Friday evening in order to maintain a proper gap between Jawan and Animal. “Shah Rukh Khan wants to come in a clear window and not be one of the many in the crowd. He is a lion by heart and wants things to be in his focus. He believes September will do justice to the release of Jawan,” the source informed Bollywood Hungama.

Jawan is directed by Atlee and stars Shah Rukh Khan with Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupati.

The Star Plus show Pandya Store, featuring an ensemble cast of Kinshuk Mahajan, Shiny Doshi, Akshay Kharodia, Kanwar Dhillon, Alice Kaushik, Simran Budharup, is all set to witness another twist. With the family celebrating the wedding of the youngest Pandya son Krish (Mohit Parmar) with Prerna (Maira Mehta), it seems that there will be a new twist and the antagonist of the show, Ankita Bahuguna aka Shweta will be involved in it.

The current track revolves around Shweta and her plans to create a stir in the lives of the Pandya family.  The Pandya family is in the mood for a celebration as Krish and Prerna are all to get married in the Star Plus show and the Pandya family have even kick started the wedding rituals. The sangeet and haldi ceremony of Krish and Sangeet commenced with dhol and dhamaka. Garba Queen Falguni Pathak graced the show and performed at the wedding functions, on her memorable songs. But like every other television wedding, audiences will get to witness a new twist in this one too.

This new twist is going to create a stir in the lives of the Pandyas especially with Shweta re-entering the Pandya family. Instead of Prerna, Shweta will marry Krish. Shweta has tried all the means to re-enter the Pandya house and looks like she has succeeded in doing it.

Ankita Bahuguna, who essayed the role of Shweta, opened up about the her re-entry saying, “Audience will get to witness high voltage drama in Pandya Store. Shweta was challenged by Dhara which she has now, won it. Shweta has now become the bahu of Pandya family and re-entered the house to create a stir in the lives of the Pandyas. It will be intriguing to see how the story unfolds in the show with Shweta entering the Pandya house once again. For Shweta, this is going to be a golden opportunity to enter the house and succeed in her evil plans. We have worked hard for the ‘shaadi’ track. Pandya Store is produced by Sphere Origins and is an official remake of the Tamil show Pandian Stores. It airs on Star Plus from Monday to Sunday at 7.30 pm.

The last 24 hours have seen numerous changes in the release dates of several Bollywood films. It all began with Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, which was scheduled to release on June 2. Since the past few days, there were murmurs that it will get postponed to June 29. Yesterday, it came to light that the massy entertainer is releasing in August. Today, Bollywood Hungama posted news that its confirmed release date is August 25. Meanwhile, reports claim that Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s film will now arrive on June 2. Some time back, Akshay Kumar announced that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, his much-awaited film co-starring Tiger Shroff, will now release on Eid 2024 and not on Christmas 2023.

And now Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Maidaan’s release date has also undergone a change. A source told us, “Ajay Devgn’s film was supposed to release on June 23. But now, the makers have decided to bring the film to cinemas on Thursday, September 7.”

The reason for the delay is not known but an industry insider commented, “Probably, September 7 is a better date. Janmashtami falls on that day and the film will benefit from a four-day weekend. If it releases on June 23, it’ll come a week after the magnum opus, Adipurush. It might lead to screen-sharing issues. With Jawan releasing on August 25, no film will probably release on September 1. Hence, for Maidaan’s makers, the new release date can be apt. There isn’t much competition till the release of Prabhas’ Salaar, which hits the theatres on September 28.”

Interestingly, Maidaan’s release dates have been changed multiple times. Its earlier release dates were November 27, 2020, December 11, 2020, August 13, 2021, October 15, 2021, June 3, 2022, February 17, 2022, May 12, 2022, and June 23, 2022.

Besides Ajay Devgn, Maidaan also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao. Directed by Amit Sharma, it is based on the golden era of Indian football between 1952 and 1962). Ajay plays Syed Abdul Rahim, an accomplished Indian coach, in this flick, which is produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios.

Colors is all set to introduce viewers to a new show titled Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan featuring Sneha Wagh and Kamya Panjabi in key roles. The show revolves around the mother-daughter duo who belong to Kolkata’s Sonagachi. Produced by Sunshine Productions, Neerja stars versatile actors Sneha Wagh as Protime whereas Kamya Panjabi will be seen as the madam of Sonagachi, Didun. Young Neerja will be played by popular Marathi child artist Myra Vaikul.

In a world where the odds are stacked against them, a mother and daughter fight tooth and nail to secure a brighter future. Despite facing numerous challenges, Neerja’s mother, Protima is determined to provide her daughter a chance at a better life, and is safeguarding her from the madam of Sonagachi. Set to be seen essaying the role of Protima, Sneha Wagh said, “I am thrilled to take on the role of Protima in ‘Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan’, who strives to provide her daughter with the best upbringing possible. Protima’s love for her daughter Neerja and the bond the two share is truly inspiring. In the show, the challenges and hurtful reality of the area where the mother and daughter are staying are very complicated. She’s determined to shield her daughter Neerja from the hardships that she herself had to endure in the harsh world.”

Playing Didun will be Kamya Punjabi, who added, “Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan offers an endearing story that revolves around a mother and daughter who strive to escape the perils of Sonagachi. My character Didun, the madam of the brothel, observes Protima and her daughter as they dream of a better life. It’s a complex character, and I hope to do justice to it. I’m excited for the viewers to watch the show and shower their love on it.”

Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan will air soon on Colors.
