Post its success at the box office, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is all set to wow its audiences once again on Netflix from 3rd May.

Talking about his excitement for the film releasing on Netflix, Ranbir Kapoor shares, “I am very excited that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will now be available to entertain fans around the world. After the response we got in theatres, we are excited to be able to showcase our hard work to Netflix audiences across so many countries. I am eager to know the global audience reactions to our labour of love.’’

Adding onto that, Shraddha Kapoor says, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is an anytime watch with friends and family and now viewers can do exactly that- watch it at home or on the go! Being able to share our film with a global audience is extremely exhilarating.”

Luv Ranjan, Director and Producer of the film shares, “As a filmmaker, my aim has always been to entertain audiences to the fullest while keeping the characters relatable and honest. We have received immense love from the audiences so far and we are hopeful that it will continue when the movie streams on Netflix too.”

Following his maiden release Farzi on a digital platform, Shahid Kapoor wrapped his next with Kriti Sanon in April 2023. The actor will now move on to comedy entertainer, in which he is collaborating with Anees Bazmee. Reportedly a pan-India project, it will be produced by Dil Raju. The big-ticket action-comedy will be kicking off in July. The makers have locked in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as the shoot locations.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a source told the publication, “When he met Shahid last year, the actor loved the concept and said yes in principle. Anees dedicated the next six months to develop the comedy. Contrary to reports, it is not a remake of a south film, but an original script. Shahid is excited about the project as it not only sees him attempt a light-hearted fare after intense Jersey [2022], Farzi and the upcoming Bloody Daddy, but will also see him in a double role. True to his style, the director has designed it as a massy entertainer.”

The casting for the lead actress is underway. The actor is set to play a double role and all the pre-production work has begun.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor has an array of line-up including Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy, Siddharth Roy Kapur’s next with Rosshan Andrrews, and an untitled next with Kriti Sanon.

Although some significant films this year have underperformed, the overall track record for Bollywood in 2023 is still better thanks to the super-success of Pathaan. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Siddharth Anand’s directorial has emerged as the highest Hindi grosser of all time. Several factors went in its favour and excited the audiences. One of them was the cameo appearance by Salman Khan, who reprised his role of Tiger. The manner in which he rescues Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) and the way both fight the baddies led to a frenzy in cinemas across the country.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 will release this year and it is common knowledge that the Salman Khan starrer will see Pathaan in a guest role. As a result, the buzz for the Diwali release is skyhigh. And now Bollywood Hungama has learned that the shoot of this exhilarating sequence is going to take place very soon.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Shah Rukh and Salman will shoot for the said sequence from May 8. The filming will take place in YRF (Yash Raj Films) Studio and is expected to go on for around 5 to 7 days.”

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and also co-stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The source continued, “Maneesh and producer Aditya Chopra have done extensive prep for this scene. They know that the sequence between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in Pathaan has been very well received by the audiences. With Tiger 3, the makers hope to take the camaraderie and madness one step ahead. There’s already palpable excitement among the crew members to shoot the scene. That Pathaan has got so much love worldwide has proved to be a booster shot for team Tiger 3!”

Pathaan and Tiger 3 belong to the YRF Spy Universe. The franchise began with Ek Tha Tiger (2012), starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and was directed by Kabir Khan. It was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer War (2019), directed by Siddharth Anand also belongs to the YRF Spy Universe. After Pathaan and Tiger 3, the forthcoming films of the franchise include War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Tiger vs Pathaan, featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles.

Following their working together as voice-over artists in the Hindi version of The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan recently became the face of his son Aryan Khan’s luxury brand D’yavol X. For the ad campaign, Aryan directed his father and the luxury streetwear brand went live on their website on April 30. However, within a day, Shah Rukh Khan signed jackets which are worth Rs. 2 lakh and got sold out.

On April 30, 2023, Aryan Khan’s brand launched the Signature X jacket, a black jacket with subtle details, a hoodie, and D’YAVOL X’s iconic red hand-painted X on the elbow. SRK had worked in the campaign photoshoot too. The signature jacket had been autographed by the superstar. The limited edition collection had only 30 units of the jacket and within 24 hours of its launch, it got sold out. The jacket is priced at Rs. 2,00,555.

The three entrepreneurs aim to bring consumers the best global experiences and authentic products across fashion, beverages, and exclusive events.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Pathaan. The film’s collections crossed Rs. 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. It released in theatres on January 25, 2023. The film starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and it was directed by Siddharth Anand. He will also be seen in Atlee’s Jawan in June 2023. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Deepika is making a cameo in the movie.

SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It will release on the big screen on December 22, 2023. The film will see Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It will also star Satish Shah and Boman Irani. It is a story about immigration. Dunki has already been shot in Mumbai, Budapest and London.
