The actress alleged that Khanna’s actions on the set were disrespectful and crossed a line she was unwilling to tolerate.

The incident reportedly took place during a cooking challenge where contestants were expected to follow strict guidelines, including avoiding food wastage. According to Tamboli, Khanna ignored the director’s instructions and threw carrot peels on her face, which she found highly disrespectful. The confrontation escalated as Tamboli refused to accept such behavior, leading to her decision to walk out of the show.

In an exclusive statement to ETimes, Nikki Tamboli detailed the initial incident, saying, “He threw carrot peels on my face! Despite being clearly instructed by the director not to waste food. I have always been particular about taking a stand for myself, and I couldn’t ignore this. It wasn’t just about the mess – it was about basic respect. His actions were unprofessional and disrespectful. He is not my friend that he can behave this way with me, and I won’t tolerate such behavior in a competitive setting where rules and discipline matter.”

For the unversed, the incident happened during a challenge where Gaurav managed to secure a two-hour cooking advantage, while others, including Nikki, had between 90 to 55 minutes. As he started working on his dish, the contestants teased him about getting extra time just for aloo puri. Gaurav playfully threw carrot peels at them, but Nikki found it disrespectful and stormed off, demanding an apology before returning. However, Gaurav paid no attention, and after a while, Nikki decided to rejoin the challenge, determined to prove herself through her cooking.

However, Nikki later made a dramatic comeback on Celebrity MasterChef, determined to prove herself through her cooking. Her dedication paid off when the judges, including Chef Kunal Kapur and Farah Khan, praised her dish. Ultimately, Nikki won the challenge and secured the coveted white apron.

Curated by an esteemed jury comprising of members of the Film Critics Guild, the winners were selected from a diverse pool of nominees spanning multiple languages and platforms. A new category introduced this year, Best Documentary, recognized outstanding feature-length documentary films, with Nocturnes Winning the award for its impactful storytelling.

In the Feature Films category, All We Imagine As Light won the coveted Best Feature Film award for its compelling storytelling and artistic brilliance. Diljit Dosanjh delivered a standout performance, earning the Best Actor award for Amar Singh Chamkila, while Darshana Rajendran’s captivating portrayal in Paradise won her the Best Actress award. With over 150 centres and 330 specialists nationwide, the company has capitalized on the increasing demand for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Backed by private equity giant EQT, which acquired a controlling stake in 2023 from TA Associates and the Murdia family, Indira IVF aimed to raise Rs 3,500 crores through its IPO to fuel further expansion. A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “Karan Johar first had a word with Akshay Kumar to delay the trailer of Housefull 5 to ensure that all the audience attention is on Kesari 2. Akshay agreed and requested Karan also to explain his stance to Sajid Nadiadwala – The producer of Housefull 5.”

The source also informs that Karan had a word with Sajid Nadiadwala and the latter heard him out. “Sajid has promised Karan to find a solution to make buzz for Kesari. He is exploring logistics to delay the Housefull 5 trailer and attach Kesari 2 teaser to Sikandar. A final call will be taken in a day’s time,” the source shares further.

If Sajid attaches the teaser of Kesari 2 to Sikandar, the film will sample with a larger section of the audience. “The masses will get to see a glimpse of Kesari 2. Karan is confident that the teaser will create an impact among cine goers and boost his ticket sales.”

Singer Sonu Nigam faced a troubling incident during his performance at Delhi Technological University’s (DTU) Engifest 2025. The event turned chaotic when some students hurled stones and bottles at the stage. Despite the disruption, Nigam remained composed and urged the audience to maintain respect.

Addressing the crowd, Sonu Nigam said, “Main aapke liye aaya hun yahan pe so that we can all have a good time. I’m not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye.”

Sonu Nigam’s request aimed to restore order and ensure the safety of those on stage. However, the situation escalated when some of his team members were injured in the chaos. With over one lakh attendees, the incident raised concerns about crowd control at large university festivals.

In February, Sonu Nigam faced another crowd-related issue during his concert in Kolkata. The singer grew visibly frustrated when some audience members stood up during his performance. A video of him sternly instructing them to sit down has gone viral on social media. Losing his patience, he was heard saying that if people wanted to stand, they should do so at an election instead.

A video circulating on Instagram captures a visibly frustrated Sonu Nigam scolding audience members who stood up and disrupted his performance. He expressed that the interruptions were affecting the flow of his show and wasting his time. As the disruptions continued, his tone became more forceful while trying to control the crowd.
