Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai and his wife Mukta Ghai have sold their 1,760-square-foot apartment in Andheri West, Mumbai, for Rs 12.85 crore. The property is located in the upscale Rustomjee Elita building and includes two parking spaces. Documents accessed through Zapkey.com reveal that the apartment was sold on January 22, 2025, at an impressive Rs 72,000 per sq ft.

Ghai originally purchased the apartment in August 2016 for Rs 8.72 crores, a significant profit over eight years. The sale was registered with a stamp duty payment of Rs 77 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000. The buyer, Sameer Gandhi, has acquired a prime property in one of Mumbai’s most sought-after locales.

While his last film was a magnum opus starring Tamil superstar Dhanush, now the director of Captain Miller is all set to enter the Bollywood arena. The filmmaker will be making his Hindi debut and the details of his first project have already been locked, reveals a source close to Matheswaran. It is being said that the filmmaker will join hands with Roaring River Productions and Bollywood producer Nazir Ahmed for his highly-ambitious projects but an official announcement of the same is yet to be made.

The source confirmed the details and added, “Everything has been finalized but the makers are waiting for the right time to introduce Arun Matheswaran and announce the film. However, the casting and other details will follow later. As of now, Arun is quite excited about his first Hindi film and is glad about working Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions and Mr. Nasir Ahmed”.

For the unversed, Arun Matheswaran marked his directorial debut in 2021 with the film Rocky, a neo noir action drama starring Vasanth Ravi and later, he also directed the popular Keerthy Suresh film Saani Kaayidham in 2022. Meanwhile, Sarita Ashwin Varde has produced popular web-shows like Broken But Beautiful and Never KISS Your Best Friend under her banner Roaring River Productions. While the film is still in the initial stages, the casting and other details are strictly kept under wraps.

Arun Matheswaran, who has previously earned rave reviews for telling powerful stories with equally strong characters, is expected to explore a new genre with Bollywood. Fans of the filmmaker are excited to see what he has in store for his big Hindi debut, which is also expected to feature an interesting plotline. The Saif Ali Khan stab case saw a new development on Monday evening when the police found the owner of the SIM, which was being used by the accused – Shariful Islam. Now, in recent development, the police has traced the identity of the SIM card which is expected to be owned by a woman residing in West Bengal, wherein the latter has insisted that her mobile phone has been missing for days.

The investigation proceedings kicked off when the Mumbai police nabbed a certain man named Vijay Das, three days after the incident, who was later identified as Shariful Islam living under an alias. As the probe continued, the police revealed that they realized he was a Bangladeshi national who crossed the border to India in search of better opportunities and have been living under different identities. Recently, they asserted that the accused spent a good amount of time in West Bengal and decided to get a new number for him to stay in touch with his family in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, he soon shifted to Mumbai for jobs and continued working odd jobs in order to avoid presenting documents. In order to gather evidence, the police investigated the Nadia and Murshidabad districts around West Bengal where they arrested Shariful.

Furthermore, the reports also state that the police also investigated his identity wherein they made him contact his brother who shared documents like a school leaving certificate as proofs of his nationality.

For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was attacked during the early hours of January 16 in an alleged attempted robbery incident at his residence in Mumbai. The actor suffered multiple stab wounds after which he was immediately rushed to the nearby Lilavati Hospital where he underwent a few emergency surgeries. However, the actor was discharged on January 21 and is well on the way to recovery.
