It is a known fact that Salman Khan fans are eagerly waiting to witness the grandeur of his next release, Sikandar. Packed with massy elements and featuring the quintessential ‘Bhai’ vibe, makers have asserted that the film will be a treat for Salman fans. Keeping up with the excitement surrounding the entertainer, sources close to the film have revealed a new update where they have asserted that Khan along with his leading lady Rashmika Mandanna will be shooting for two songs based on two festivals –Eid and Holi.

The fact that Sikandar features an ensemble cast and also that it marks the union of A R Murugadoss, Sajid Nadiadwala along with Salman Khan, have raised the bar of expectations among fans. Now, sources close to the film have insisted that the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep up with these expectations and anticipation. A source told Pinkvilla said, “Sikandar is a celebration and the core idea of Salman, Sajid, and Murugadoss was to come up with an upbeat album for the Eid 2025 release. Earlier in the month, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna have shot for two dance numbers set against the backdrop of Eid and Holi for Sikandar.”

The source also went on to reveal that the tracks will be of different genres wherein the Eid song will be qawwali whereas the Holi track will be a dance number but with elements of romance. “The two songs are expected to be instant chartbusters as everyone on the sets was grooving through the shoot. Salman also feels that the two compositions are among the best of Pritam. The entire Sikandar team is confident on delivering an album that’s remembered for a long time,” shared the source and went on to add, “Apart from these two dance numbers, two more songs – including a romantic number – is underworks. The remaining songs will be shot in January,”

Along with this, the source also shared brief updates about the action sequences viewers can expect in this entertainer. The source mentioned that the action in the film will have a new flavour and that Sajid Nadiadwala is pushing the envelope when it comes to the visuals of Sikandar.

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and others in key roles, Sikandar marks the first onscreen venture of Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna together.

Dilip Joshi, known for his iconic portrayal of Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has addressed the viral rumours about an alleged fight with the show’s producer, Asit Modi. The actor denied these reports, calling them baseless and hurtful.

“False Stories Hurt Us and Our Fans”
Responding to claims that he had a heated argument with Asit Modi, even holding the producer by his collar, Joshi issued a heartfelt statement. He expressed frustration over the spread of false information, saying: “There have been some stories in the media about me and Asit Bhai that are completely false, and it really saddens me to see such things being said. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a show that means so much to me and millions of fans, and when people spread baseless rumors, it hurts not only us but also our loyal viewers.”
“Negativity Around the Show Is Disheartening”
Joshi emphasised the impact of such rumours on the cast, crew, and fans of the beloved sitcom. He stated: “It’s disheartening to see negativity being spread about something that has brought so much joy to so many for so many years. Every time such rumours pop up, it feels like we’re constantly explaining that they are completely untrue. It’s tiring, and it’s frustrating.”

The actor further speculated that jealousy over the show’s continued success might be a factor behind these recurring controversies.
“No Plans to Quit TMKOC”
Putting an end to rumours about his departure from the show, Joshi confirmed his commitment to TMKOC. He said: “Earlier, there were even rumours about me leaving the show, which is completely false. We all stand together in our commitment to make this show the best it can be. Let’s focus on the positivity and joy that this show brings to so many.”
Previous Controversies on TMKOC Sets
This isn’t the first time the show has made headlines. Several former cast members, including Shailesh Lodha, Jennifer Mistry, and Palak Sindhwani, have alleged harassment, abuse, and non-payment of dues by Modi and the co-producers. Jennifer Mistry also accused Modi of sexual harassment. Joshi, however, has dismissed the current allegations surrounding his relationship with Modi as unfounded.

Ananya Panday, who debuted in Punit Malhotra’s Student of the Year 2 (2019), faced criticism early in her career but has steadily worked on honing her craft. Despite experiencing notable flops, the daughter of Chunky and Bhavana Panday has earned acclaim for her roles in Gehraiyaan (2022), Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023), CTRL (2024), and the comedy series Call Me Bae (2024).

Bhavana Pandey recently admitted that she wasn’t impressed with Ananya Panday’s performance in Student of the Year 2. While proud of her daughter’s growth as an actor, Bhavana acknowledged that Ananya gave her best effort but fell short of expectations in the film, produced by Nokia Studios and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

In a recent conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Bhavana Pandey shared, “I think she did everything she could from her side. She gave her best effort. Of course, there are so many factors that matter in a film. Maybe in Student of the Year 2… she was too raw. So I wouldn’t say she didn’t try her best, but perhaps she wasn’t fully aware of what to do.”

Despite her earlier critique, Bhavana Pandey has proven to be one of Ananya’s biggest supporters, often re-watching her daughter’s projects. She shared, “I think she was amazing in the films Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Call Me Bae. I absolutely loved her. I think she was very funny. I don’t want to sound like an obsessed fan, but I keep rewatching that series. Whenever I have nothing else to watch, I put it on because it’s just so funny. I really enjoyed her character in Call Me Bae.”

Bhavana Pandey is currently enjoying the success of the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives on Netflix, where she stars alongside Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is reportedly set to star in the period drama Shankara, alongside Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan, although the film has yet to be officially announced.

Madhuri Dixit shocked many by stepping away from acting at the height of her career to get married. In 1999, she tied the knot with Dr. Shriram Nene and relocated to Colorado, where they lived a quiet life away from the spotlight for several years. In 2011, the family, including their two sons, Arin and Ryan, returned to India. Recently, Madhuri, who appeared in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, shared her thoughts on moving abroad after marriage, saying she didn’t miss anything about her earlier life.

In an interview with Galatta India, Madhuri Dixit shared, “I was very happy because for me, the paraphernalia was not very important to me. I loved what I do. I love acting, dancing and everything to do with my profession. Anything else is just bonus like people considering you as a star. But I haven’t ever felt that way about me. So for me, it was never like, ‘Oh my god, I am going away from the public eye. I am getting married at the peak of my career.’ I never thought of it that way.”

She further explained, “I just thought I have met the right person for me. This is the man I want to marry and I am going to get married to this guy because everybody dreams for themselves. For me, it was like having a house, a husband, having family, and kids. I love kids. So, having kids was big part of that dream.”

The Saajan star shared, “When people say, ‘Oh, you were away, and didn’t you miss?’, I be like, ‘No, I didn’t miss because I was living my dream.”

Dr. Shriram Nene, speaking to Ranveer Allahbadia about his marriage to Madhuri Dixit, said, “I don’t know her like that (superstar). She is my wife and partner, and my encouragement to people is be what you always wanted to be and support the people with you. We are partners in a marriage where we look out for each other forever. If you develop that kind of relationship, it doesn’t matter what they did. I never knew her past history and she never knew mine. We came from very different worlds yet similar. Like sub-region Maharashtra, same kind of language and background. Neither of us thought that this would happen. I would say this is the most amazing thing in my life.”

On the work front, Madhuri Dixit appeared in films such as Pukar, Gaja Gamini, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke, Lajja, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Devdas, and Aaja Nachle. As Karan Arjun re-releases, Rakesh Roshan recalled several memories and shared many anecdotes related to the 1995 blockbuster. Marking the collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as brothers, the film went on to become iconic not only in terms of scenes and dialogues but also in terms of music. However, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan revealed that the original casting choice was very different – it was Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan which later switched to Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

During the interview, Rakesh Roshan recalled how Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan who were roped in to play Karan and Arjun respectively, wanted to interchange their roles. The filmmaker elaborated on how they wanted to experiment by swapping the roles but Roshan insisted that retaining it would be a wiser decision. “I asked them ‘Ismein kya fayda hoga picture ko?’ Toh woh log soch mein padh gaye. Maine kaha picture chalegi toh hi fayda hoga na. Aisa karunga toh picture nahin chalegi. Aap logon ka jo image hai ussi ko rakhte hue usko romance bhi dunga aur isko action bhi dunga. And dono hi action aur romance karte hain (How would the film benefit like that? This definitely made them think. I told them there is no use of the film if it doesn’t work. And if I swap, the movie will not work. Retaining your image I will give action and romance to both characters. And both of them got to do action and romance in the film). I am making a wholesome film so you don’t worry about that (I told).”

He further went on to add how Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan were persistent and he eventually approached Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for the same roles of Karan and Arjun. “Tabhi Shah Rukh mere paas dobara aa gaya. Nahin, main karta hoon. Aapne mujhe break diya hai. I’ll get sleepless nights if I don’t do this. So then I told Aamir that I have SRK’s dates with me”, he shared.

Rakesh Roshan also recalled how after the casting challenge, he had to resolve the issue of distributors backing out. “They said action picture bana rahe hain, aur romantic heroes liye hai dono. Salman Khan ki saari romantic films aayi thi aur SRK ke bhi romantic films thi. Lekin maine dekha they are physically fit. Woh log action kyun nahi kar sakte? (They said you are making an action film and have taken heroes who do romantic films. At that time, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan did more of romantic films. But I saw that they are physically fit. So I was like, ‘why can’t they do action films?’)”.

For the unversed, almost a year prior to the release of Karan Arjun, Salman Khan’s filmography included films like Ek Ladka Ek Ladki, Dil Tera Aashiq, Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, Andaz Apna Apna, among others. While Shah Rukh Khan was famous for anti-hero roles, the actor essayed these characters in romantic films like Darr, Anjaam, and featured in romcoms like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, among others.

Coming to Karan Arjun, the film also boasted of an interesting ensemble supporting cast like Rakhee, Amrish Puri, Ranjit, among others along with Mamta Kulkarni and Kajol as the leading ladies.

Renowned chef, television personality and actor Ranveer Brar has revealed details about a recent gym injury that resulted in a cervical spine fracture. Sharing an exclusive update with Bollywood Hungama, Brar expressed gratitude for the support and well-wishes he has received during his recovery period.

Speaking about the incident, Ranveer Brar shared, “It was a freak injury in the gym about three weeks ago, where I fractured my cervical spine. In these three weeks, I’ve made a fair amount of progress, and with another two weeks, I should be fairly recovered and nearly back to normal.”

Brar, known for his culinary expertise and affable personality, emphasized how much the outpouring of love and concern has meant to him. “Much gratitude for the overwhelming love and concern that’s been pouring in. It’s very heartwarming and definitely motivates me to get up and running,” he said, expressing optimism about resuming his professional commitments soon.

Fans of the celebrity chef have taken to social media to send their wishes for a speedy recovery. Brar assured his supporters that he is on the path to healing and is hopeful of being “back on track soonest.”

Dilip Joshi, widely loved for his portrayal of Jethalal in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), reportedly had a heated altercation with the show’s creator and producer, Asit Kumar Modi. According to a recent report by News18, the confrontation escalated when Joshi grabbed Modi by the collar.

What Triggered the Clash Between Asit Modi and Dilip Joshi?
The incident reportedly occurred in August 2024, stemming from a disagreement over Joshi’s leave requests. The report suggests that Joshi had asked for a few days off but was met with avoidance from Modi. When Modi eventually visited the set, Joshi tried to approach him, but Modi allegedly ignored him and engaged with other actors instead.

This perceived disregard reportedly led to a heated exchange between the two, culminating in Joshi holding Modi by the collar in anger. According to the report, Joshi also threatened to leave the show during the altercation. However, the situation was eventually diffused, and the two reportedly reconciled.
Not the First Time
The report also highlighted that this was not the first instance of tension between Joshi and Modi. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, including a notable disagreement during an overseas shoot in Hong Kong. On that occasion, actor Gurucharan Singh (formerly Sodhi on TMKOC) had to step in to mediate and resolve the conflict.

TMKOC, which has enjoyed immense popularity since its debut in 2008, has been in the spotlight in recent years for various controversies. Several long-standing cast members, including Shailesh Lodha (formerly Taarak Mehta) and Jennifer Mistry (formerly Roshan Sodhi), have publicly accused Asit Modi and the production team of harassment.

Jennifer Mistry even alleged that Modi made inappropriate advances towards her during outdoor shoots, while Palak Sindhwani (Sonu) has spoken about facing “inhuman treatment” during filming. Despite these issues, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continues to be one of the longest-running sitcoms in Indian television history, with a dedicated fan base.

As per the sources, Bollywood actor and renowned acting coach, Saurabh Sachdeva, has joined the cast of the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Earlier, the news was confirmed on social media by actor Brahmaji, who posted a photo on Instagram featuring director Sukumar, actor Fahadh Faasil, Brahmaji, and Sachdeva together in a car. Brahmaji captioned the post, “ITS A WRAP..#pushpa2,” sharing that filming has concluded and was later deleted.

Now, with Saurabh’s official trailer post on his Instagram account thanking director Sukumar and Mythri Film Makers, it’s pretty much confirmed that this talented actor is joining the Pushpa Universe.

Sachdeva, best known for his powerful performances in films such as Animal, Bambai Meri Jaan, Jaane Jaan, Haddi, Vadh, Sacred Games, and Taish, is set to play a pivotal role in Pushpa 2 as per the sources. While details about his character remain under wraps, his addition to the cast has heightened excitement among fans.

While we reached out to the actor for his statement on this, but haven’t received a reply yet.

Pushpa 2: The Rule is the highly awaited sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, which starred Allu Arjun as the iconic Pushpa Raj. Directed by Sukumar, the film continues the gripping narrative of Pushpa’s journey and will see Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles alongside Arjun.

The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on December 6, 2024, and is expected to be a major box office draw. With Sachdeva now part of the ensemble, Pushpa 2 promises to bring even more intensity and drama to the screen.
