While her beloved admirers are excited to see the actress take on another intriguing character in this gender bending comedy, they were merely left surprised when the actress made an appearance with a massive baby bump. While the actress too dropped pictures from the special evening, she refrained from talking about her motherhood journey.

Radhika Apte is currently in the UK as her film Sister Midnight premiered in the country on October 16. On Wednesday, the actress took to her official Instagram handle where she shared photos with the entire team as she looked excited to welcome her film and along with the pictures, she also shared a series of pictures from her red carpet appearances wherein she is seen wearing an all-black bodyfit off shoulder gown and showed off her baby bump. She wrote, “SISTER MIDNIGHT UK Premier #lff2024” and tagged the entire team of the film but did not mention about the pregnancy.

Speaking about her film Sister Midnight, the film, directed by Karan Kandhari, revolves around a frustrated and misanthropic newlywed couple wherein the meek husband discovers certain feral impulses of his wife that often land them in unlikely situations. Apart from this, Radhika is also expected to collaborate with YRF for a revenge thriller web-series Akka co-starring Keerthy Suresh.

TIPS Music Ltd, formerly known as Tips Industries Ltd., has announced financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2024. The Indian music label reported robust growth across several key metrics, showcasing its strong performance in a competitive industry. For the second quarter of FY25, TIPS Music recorded revenue from operations of Rs. 80.6 crores, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year growth of 32% compared to Rs. 60.9 crores in the same quarter last year. This upward trend continues from the previous quarter, which saw revenues of Rs. 73.9 crores, marking a quarter-on-quarter increase of 9%. The total revenue for the first half of FY25 stood at Rs. 154.5 crores, up 36% from Rs. 113.5 crores in H1 FY24.

The company’s operating EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) reached Rs. 59.5 crores, indicating a 19% increase from Rs. 49.8 crores in Q2 FY24 and a 9% rise from Rs. 54.4 crores in Q1 FY25. The operating EBITDA margin for the quarter was reported at 73.8%, slightly down from 81.9% year-on-year but consistent with the margin of 73.6% from the previous quarter.

In terms of profitability, TIPS Music recorded a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 48.2 crores, which is a 21% increase from Rs. 39.7 crores in Q2 FY24 and an 11% rise from Rs. 43.6 crores in Q1 FY25. The PAT margin for the quarter stood at 59.7%, down from 65.2% a year earlier but relatively stable compared to 58.9% in the previous quarter.

In Q2 FY25, TIPS Music launched a total of 125 new songs, including 39 new film songs and 86 non-film songs. The content cost for the quarter rose significantly to ₹13.8 crores, compared to Rs. 4.7 crore in Q2 FY24, reflecting an increase of 194%.

TIPS Music’s YouTube channel has seen impressive subscriber growth, reaching 108 million—a 21% increase compared to the previous year. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹2 per share for Q2 FY25, totalling Rs. 25.56 crores. Cumulatively, TIPS Music’s total payout to shareholders, including dividends and buybacks, has reached Rs. 97.74 crores in FY25 to date.

Kumar Taurani, Chairman & Managing Director, said, “I am pleased to share that the company has announced a 2nd interim dividend for the year of Rs. 2 per share, in addition to interim dividend distributed and buyback conducted in Q1FY25. Our revenue for the quarter stood at Rs. 80.6 Cr up by 32% YOY with a PAT of Rs. 48.2 Cr increasing by 21% YOY. Our relentless focus is on acquiring high-quality music content.”

Girish Taurani, Executive Director, said, “In Q2 FY2025 we successfully launched 125 new songs, of which, 39 were new Film songs and 86 Non-Film songs, resulting in a diverse range of offerings that cater to a wide audience. This quarter, we released two musical short films, ‘Tedi Medi’ and ‘Beinteha’, both of which have received significant appreciation from the audience. A notable release for this quarter is the song ‘Yaad Reh Jaati Hai’ from the film The Buckingham Murders, sung by the renowned B Praak, along with another song released this quarter ‘Dua Kijiye’. Both tracks have gained popularity and continue to grow with our audiences.”

Hari Nair – Chief Executive Officer, said, “Our YouTube channels cumulative subscriber base has now reached 108 million, reflecting our growing influence and engagement. The market share on audio digital platforms like Spotify, Saavn etc is increasing steadily. Additionally, the new division of “Brands & Partnership” has started clocking revenues; Motorola used our track ‘Rangeela Re’, to launch its new set of colourful handsets.”

Lawrence Bishnoi’s Growing Infamy
Varma’s tweets came in the wake of the murder of politician Baba Siddique, for which Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility. Bishnoi’s involvement in the crime has only fueled the public curiosity about the gangster, especially given his longstanding feud with Salman Khan. The feud traces back to the late 1990s, when Khan was embroiled in the blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan. Since then, Bishnoi, whose community considers blackbucks sacred, has issued several threats to the actor.

The feud between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi stretches back to the blackbuck poaching case that deeply angered the Bishnoi community. Political drama Emergency that introduces the current generation to the historical happenings of 1970s has been mired in controversy ever since the makers unveiled the release date in September. While the film’s release has been on hold since last month, there has been no update on the same until recently. On Wednesday, an India Today report has suggested that the makers are contemplating the release of the film after the Punjab elections.

Readers would recall that Emergency aims at showcasing the aftermath of the political emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi in the 70s which had heavily impacted the state of Punjab. Considering the same, many Sikhs have taken an objection to the release of the film. However, sources in the recent report have stated that the makers are keen on releasing the film once the volatile situation of election process is completed. CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) too has reportedly greenlit its release with a few cuts.

A source confirmed these details in this report and said, “After agreeing to all the terms of CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), the team will most likely release the film after the Punjab elections. The film is really close to everyone’s heart and the audience should get to watch the film. So, after much consideration and not to hurt anyone’s sentiments, the whole team decided that once the elections are over, they will decide on a suitable day and release the film. Releasing the film during a calmer time seems the best decision for now.”

Speaking about the film, directed by Kangana Ranaut, it also stars her in the role of the protagonist – former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Also featuring Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair in key roles, the film was initially scheduled to release on September 7.

Tiger Baby and Emaho Films in collaboration with HHMI Tangled Bank Studios announced today the world premiere of their latest film, Turtle Walker, at Doc NYC, 2024 on Sunday, November 17. Turtle Walker, the directorial debut of Taira Malaney, tells the story of an Indian pioneer in the field of sea turtle conservation, Satish Bhaskar, who dedicated his life to the protection of these beautiful but endangered animals.

In the late 1970s, Satish Bhaskar embarked on an epic journey along India’s spectacular coastlines, living alongside rare sea turtles to unravel the mysteries that surround them – and set out to save the enigmatic sea creatures from extinction.

This film, which started as a small independent crew from Goa, India, has over the last 7 years emerged into an international co-production, with award-winning partners and collaborators from across the world. Submarine Deluxe has taken the sales rights of the film.

Director Taira Malaney received many accolades for Turtle Walker including the “Best Natural History and Wildlife Pitch” at Sunny Side of the Doc, 2019; the “Emerging Filmmaker Award (India)” and the “Griffith Film School residency Award (Australia)” at DocEdge Kolkata, 2018. In addition, in 2024, Taira accepted the Grand Teton Award, which is the highest honor presented at the Jackson Wild Media Awards.

Varun Dhawan is all set to kick off the second schedule of his father, David Dhawan’s upcoming romantic comedy, tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. After wrapping up his promotional duties for the Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny, Varun will turn his focus back to the much-anticipated project, which also stars Mrunal Thakur.

Varun Dhawan’s Busy Year Continues
The actor has had a packed year so far. Having recently finished a major portion of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari directed by Shashank Khaitan, Varun swiftly moved on to promoting Citadel: Honey Bunny. But come November, the actor has reserved time to work on his father’s film. According to sources, the second schedule of the film will commence on November 6 in Goa.

A report by Mid-Day quoted a source revealing, “The second leg will begin in Goa on November 6. By then, Varun would have wrapped his promotion commitments for the Prime Video series.”
Goa, Mumbai, and Beyond: Filming Plans for the Romantic Comedy
After wrapping up the Goa schedule, David Dhawan has planned a month-long shoot in Mumbai. A set will be constructed at Mehboob Studios, where filming will take place until mid-December. This will be followed by an international shoot early next year, though the details for the foreign schedule are yet to be confirmed.

This romantic comedy marks the fourth time Varun Dhawan is collaborating with his father, after the successes of Main Tera Hero (2014), Judwaa 2 (2017), and Coolie No 1 (2020).
