With rave reviews coming her way for her role as Bella in the recently released web-series Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday is on cloud nine. Adding to her excitement, the actress is all set to enthral her fans by sharing another interesting update about her work. Her much-talked about film with Vikramaditya Motwane, titled CTRL, which was announced quite some time back, is all set to release next month. And ahead of the same, the makers have now announced the release date.

The film is co-produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, who started his career in the Indian film entertainment as an actor, and later transitioned into producing films. Continuing this role of a producer, Nikhil dropped the exciting update that the trailer for the film is set to release on Wednesday, September 24. Taking to social media, the makers of the upcoming thriller CTRL shared a poster featuring Ananya Panday, which looks absolutely intriguing. They captioned it saying, “Now loading: CTRL. Trailer out tomorrow!”

The same post was also reposted by Ananya on her official social media handle. With the film, they aim to offer audiences an absolutely thrilling experience as they discover the pros and cons of Artificial Intelligence aka AI.

Speaking of CTRL, the film revolves the picture-perfect influencer couple Nella and Joe until the latter cheats, resulting in his girlfriend going on a spiral. Showcasing the generation’s dependency on internet, Nelle downloads a special AI app to erase Joe from her life – until it takes over the reins from her.

Moreover, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon under the banners of Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films, CTRL also stars Devika Vatsa, Suchita Trivedi, Ravish Desai, and others in key roles along with Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat. Written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 4, 2024.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that the makers of the upcoming film Binny And Family are all set to have a unique contest. A source told us, “As part of the contest, netizens will be encouraged to book tickets of Binny And Family on a mobile ticket booking app. A lucky winner will get six free tickets to the Coldplay concert for him/her and his/her whole family.”

The source continued, “Binny And Family is a rare clean family entertainer from Bollywood in recent times. Hence, the makers are of the idea that the whole family should enjoy not just their film but also the Coldplay concert.”

A trade expert commented, “It’s a great marketing move as many people will now book tickets to the film with the hope that they’ll win the concert tickets. It’ll lead to a better opening for the film. The more people will see it, the easier it’ll be for the makers to spread the word of mouth, leading to a healthy trend.”

Yesterday, the makers of Binny And Family had another offer wherein they announced that they’ll give 4 tickets to the Coldplay concert. In order to win these tickets, the users had to like and share the post, tag 3 people whom they’d like to attend the concert with, tag the producers (Mahaveer Jain Films and Balaji Motion Pictures) and share the post as an Instagram story with the song ‘Zindagi’ from the film. Hence, in all, the makers of the film will be giving out 10 tickets for free to the lucky winners of the Coldplay show.

Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment have taken legal action against filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, accusing him of misappropriating funds during the production of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The Bhagnanis, prominent figures in the Indian film industry, filed the complaint at Bandra Police Station on September 3, 2024. According to the complaint, Zafar allegedly siphoned off subsidy funds provided by Abu Dhabi authorities for the film shoot.

Allegations of Fund Misappropriation
The core of the complaint centers on Ali Abbas Zafar’s alleged misuse of subsidies received from Abu Dhabi authorities during the production of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The Bhagnanis claim that the funds, which were meant to support the film’s production, were diverted by Zafar for personal or unauthorized use. This allegation has sparked concern within the industry, particularly as Pooja Entertainment is a major player in Bollywood, known for delivering high-budget films.
Non-Payment Reports Circulating
Reports about non-payment by the producers have been circulating since the complaint was filed. According to sources, these reports began spreading shortly after the official filing at the Bandra Police Station. While no immediate action has been taken, it is expected that Zafar will be summoned for questioning in the coming days as the police investigate the matter further.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was rejected by the audience and critics alike. Ali Abbas Zafar has not made a successful film after moving out of YRF. He is yet to make a successful film after going independent.

Jigra is an action-packed prison-break thriller directed by Vasan Bala and written by Debashish Irengbam and Bala. Alia Bhatt stars as Satya, a determined sister who goes to great lengths to rescue her brother Ankur, played by Vedang Raina. Manoj Pahwa is also featured in a significant role.
