Diljit Dosanjh, another prominent Punjabi singer, recently shared details about the Indian leg of his Dil-Luminati tour. Kicking off on October 26, 2024, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, Dosanjh’s tour will also visit cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.

Speaking about the tour, Diljit expressed his enthusiasm for performing in India, stating, “Bringing the Dil-Luminati Tour to India is a dream come true. Trouble is mounting for producer Vashu Bhagnani and his production house, Pooja Entertainment. A new controversy has surfaced after being accused of failing to pay several crew members. Director Ali Abbas Zafar has accused Bhagnani of not paying him Rs 7.30 crores, his fee for directing the 2024 action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The film, which starred Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, was made on a massive Rs 350 crores budget but performed poorly, earning only around Rs 100 crores at the box office.

Ali Abbas Zafar Files Complaint Against Pooja Entertainment
According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Ali Abbas Zafar has filed a formal complaint with the Directors’ Association, claiming that Pooja Entertainment has not paid him the Rs 7.30 crores fee for his work on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The complaint was submitted to the Directors’ Association, which sent a letter to the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) on July 31, 2024, asking them to intervene in the matter.

Following this, FWICE shot a letter to Vashu Bhagnani, seeking an explanation for the unpaid dues. However, Pooja Entertainment has denied Zafar’s claims, stating, “The dues claimed do not constitute a legitimate claim and are liable to various set-offs, as informed to us by BMCM Films Ltd.”
FWICE Steps in, Zafar Asked to Provide Evidence
FWICE has now requested that Ali Abbas Zafar submit proof supporting his claim of unpaid dues. Despite the escalating issue, Zafar has chosen to remain silent in public and has refrained from making any statements to the media. According to the report, the Tiger Zinda Hai director is concerned that speaking out might delay the resolution and payment further.
Pooja Entertainment Faces Financial Challenges
This is not the first time Vashu Bhagnani’s production house has faced financial trouble. Earlier, FWICE president BN Tiwari revealed that Pooja Entertainment owed more than Rs 65 lakh to crew members for their work on three films: Mission Raniganj, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The non-payment of crew members has added to the mounting problems for the production house.

As of now, Ali Abbas Zafar’s demand for payment remains unresolved, with Pooja Entertainment continuing to deny the legitimacy of the claim. With FWICE stepping in, it remains to be seen whether Zafar will receive the dues he is seeking.

Pakistani blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, is slated for release in India on October 2, 2024. However, the film is facing strong resistance from political groups, particularly the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), which has threatened agitation if the movie is screened in the country.

MNS’s Strong Opposition to The Legend of Maula Jatt Release
The MNS, known for its staunch opposition to Pakistani cinema and artists, has once again voiced its disapproval of the upcoming release. Ameya Khopkar, President of the MNS Cinema Wing, made it clear that the party would not allow The Legend of Maula Jatt to be released in India. Speaking to ANI, Khopkar stated, “This movie will not be released. Not just this movie, we will not entertain any Pakistani film or actors in India… If this happens, there will be a strong agitation.”

He also urged other states to follow suit and oppose the screening of the film, citing ongoing conflicts between the two nations. “Our soldiers are dying at the borders and our cities are being attacked. Why do we need Pakistani actors here? Don’t we have enough talent in India?” Khopkar asked, stating the need to prioritise Indian talent over foreign artists.
Threats to Cinema Owners
Khopkar issued a stern warning to cinema owners in India, urging them to reconsider screening the film, suggesting potential consequences if they defy the opposition. “The owners of cinemas know very well that the glass in their theatres is very expensive… We will beat any Pakistani actor who dares to come to India,” he said. He stressed that while art and politics are often seen as separate, the party does not support the idea of hosting Pakistani films at the expense of Indian soldiers.

“This should be taken as a threat… There have been attacks till last week and we’ll watch movies of Pakistani actors? How can one even think something like this? We will not let them land on their feet, we will break it,” Khopkar added, further intensifying the opposition to the release of The Legend of Maula Jatt in India.

The controversy surrounding the release of The Legend of Maula Jatt in India reignites the ongoing debate over the involvement of Pakistani artists in Indian entertainment. In 2016, following the Uri terror attack, a formal ban on Pakistani artists working in Indian films and shows was implemented. However, in November 2023, the Supreme Court of India dismissed a petition seeking a total ban on Pakistani artists performing or working in the country.

The highly anticipated third installment of Ajay Devgn’s Singham franchise, Singham Again, is set to hit theatres this Diwali. As excitement builds, rumours have been swirling about a potential cameo by Salman Khan, reprising his role of Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg series. However, these speculations have been firmly squashed.

According to the source, “All the stories surrounding Chulbul Pandey being a part of Singham are fake and baseless rumours. No such announcement has been made by any production house regarding the same, nor has megastar Salman Khan shot for any such cameo.”

The source further added that there has been no official announcement from the makers of the production house producing the film. The news has gone viral, as fans have long wanted to see Salman Khan in this cinematic universe since Rohit Shetty revealed his desire to include him. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait some more time to see this union happen.

However, while Salman Khan may not be part of Singham Again, the actor will be making special cameo in other upcoming project. Khan will be seen in Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, scheduled for release this Christmas.

Singham Again boasts a star-studded cast, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Tiger Shroff. Telugu choreographer Jani Master has confessed to sexually assaulting a former female employee, police have confirmed, as per multiple media reports. The 21-year-old woman met Master at an event in 2017 and was offered a job as an assistant choreographer two years later. The alleged sexual assault occurred at a hotel in Mumbai where Master and other dancers were staying during a show.

Following the allegations, Master was suspended by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and a workers’ union. He was arrested in Bengaluru on Thursday and will be transferred to Hyderabad. Master has worked on several popular Telugu films, including Baahubali and Pushpa: The Rise.

Woman accuses Master of sexual abuse and threats
In her complaint, the woman detailed how Jani Master and two other male assistants had traveled to Mumbai for a show. She said she was normally accompanied by her mother but was unable to do so due to ticket issues. The woman accused Master of threatening her with physical violence and mental harassment during photoshoots and rehearsals.
According to the police remand report, the victim, who was 16 at the time, was sexually abused multiple times over a period of four years. The complaint also alleges that Master forced her to convert to his religion and “marry” him.

Jani Master’s political affiliation
Jani Master is a member of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party, which is allied with the Telugu Desam Party. In light of the allegations, the Jana Sena has ordered Master to stay away from its political events.

Now, recent reports suggest that Malhotra is in advanced discussions with Ektaa R Kapoor for a new feature film, which is expected to start production in the latter half of 2025. Reportedly, the film will be directed by Deepak Mishra, the acclaimed creator of the popular web series Panchayat.

Ektaa R Kapoor, known for her successful ventures in television and film, is partnering with The Viral Fever (TVF) to bring unique yet commercially viable stories to the big screen. This upcoming film is reportedly part of a larger collaboration between Balaji Telefilms and TVF. PinkVilla quoted a source saying, “Ekta Kapoor and TVF have partnered to bring unique yet commercial tales to the big screen. This one is a part of the deal between Balaji and TVF, and the discussions are on with Sidharth Malhotra.”

A Film Rooted in Folklore and Mythology
The film, which is still in the pre-production phase, is said to be high on content, deeply rooted in folklore, and will draw inspiration from Hindu mythology. The source added, “It’s a high-on-drama and emotion film, set against the backdrop of a folklore deep-rooted in Hindu mythology. The makers have the vision to create a unique cinematic experience similar to Kantara.”
Sidharth Malhotra is expected to receive the final narration of the script in November 2024, and once the final version is approved, he is likely to sign on for the role. The film is set to go on floors in the second half of 2025.

Sidharth’s Busy Schedule
Before moving on to this project, Sidharth Malhotra will first wrap up shooting for a romantic comedy produced by Dinesh Vijan, set to begin in November. Following this, he is expected to move on to Race 4, which is scheduled to commence in January 2025. The Ektaa R Kapoor collaboration with Deepak Mishra will likely be the next big project on his plate after these commitments.

According to our reliable sources, Tiger Shroff starts shooting for Baaghi 4 from November.

“Baaghi is a dear franchise and a true-blue actioner for the masses. The three films have been hit ventures and the duo of Sajid and Tiger is all set to start the fourth Baaghi film from November. It’s the biggest Baaghi film to date and the makers are kicked to take the film on floors this year,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further added that Sajid Nadiadwala and team Baaghi will up the stakes in Baaghi 4. “Be it the casting or the action – it’s going to be a step up on all fronts. Tiger Shroff as Ronnie will fight his biggest battle till date in Baaghi 4,” the source told us further.

The film will be directed by Kannada Film Industry Director Harsha, who will bring a fresh perspective to the franchise.

Choreographer Jani Master was arrested on September 19 in connection with a sexual assault case filed by his former employee. His wife, Ayesha, has now come forward to defend her husband and question the validity of the allegations.

Demanding Evidence
In an interview with TV9 news, Ayesha expressed her disbelief at the accusations against her husband. She stated that she needed concrete evidence to believe that he was guilty of the alleged crimes. She said, “The allegation that the woman was harassed when she was 16 is disgusting. There is no truth in it. If the girl can show evidence, I will leave Master. I have been married to Master for the last 14 years and we have no children. I know him very well. His nature is not what is being alleged. How is it that she never complained before? And how is it that after being on her own for the last year, she suddenly surfaces to complain to him?”
Questioning the Complainant’s Motives
Ayesha pointed out that the complainant had previously expressed gratitude and admiration for Jani Master. She questioned the timing of the complaint and suggested that there might be ulterior motives behind the allegations.
The Complainant’s Allegations
The woman, who is now 21, alleged that Jani Master had sexually assaulted her multiple times over the past six years. She claimed that he had pressured her to perform sexual acts in exchange for work opportunities.

The 40-page FIR detailed the harrowing experiences of the complainant, who was only 16 years old when the alleged assaults began. The woman accused Jani Master of using his position of power to manipulate and exploit her.
